Always protect the hands. A breaker bar would make removal much easier than a standard wrench. When I pulled the first blade off I noticed it did not have any location tabs (not sure of exact name) like my TimeMaster blades, which have to be timed, so I stopped and came to RUclips and this was the perfect video. I figured no time was necessary, but needed to verify. I just picked up the 50' TimeCutter and need to sharpen the blades. Thanks...

I like to sharpen my blades with a grinder first and then take a regular flat file and put the final touch on the blades

Excellent video. Thanks for showing how to work with removing blades with deck on and then with deck off. Do you prefer high lift or mulching blades? Thanks

I can change my blades with the mower on the ground with a wrench holding the spindle nut, using a pipe cheater to lengthen the handle to catch a part of the mower so it doesn't move and then remove the blade nut with a breaker bar. But I usually pull it up on car ramps so I can clean off the debris under the deck. And to sharpen, I use an angle grinder with a flap disc wheel, I don't even clamp the blade down. I would how ever love a deck that just flipped up so I could do all that without laying on the ground.

The Hustlers and Walkers have that. I would love to have a flip up deck as well.

Thank you. That was so helpful for me as I am just now looking at changing and sharpening my blades. I now can go at it with confidence. Question: have you a video on changing the oil and everything else we need to do for the annual service? Fm

I have a full “playlist” for all of my Toro equipment! Check them all out. Pretty much everything you need to know about the mower will be there!

Probably should use a torque wrench when tightening to manufacturers specs

One ☝️ advice I’d give is to use a grinder wheel with a floppy disc it’s a game changer and fast. To balance it just use a nail in the wall and wallaa

Why in the world did you put it on stands in the first place? Then you took the deck off anyway lol
