They were right about the two-party system being over. Now it's a one-party system.

let's get the greatest electoral statistician in the world, and let's get him to tell us that in the FPTP system parties that have national support but nowhere a majority are under represented in parliament

Absolute rubbish. Elections are vastly different in the U.S. than in England. A democrat in a southern state would be much different than a democrat in a northern state like New York or California. We don't have presidential elections, their are 650 seats with an average of 7 party candidates, not two individuals. How can they say UKIP will gain 1 seat when they got 2 seats in a by election mere months ago and Nigel is likely to get a seat in Thanet South. Sorry Nate Silver but, you're wrong. this is not the U.S., this is England! Spending a week in a handful of constituencies, talking to the 'general public' and studying ridiculously contrived and outdated opinion polls is quite frankly shameful of the BBC to manipulate voters to continue voting for the establishment LabLibCon. The only way to achieve a 'quiet revolution' is to avoid tactical voting and vote for the policies and local MP you want. It's only a wasted vote because that is what everyone is saying (media to blame) but 4,000 'wasted' votes could make a huge difference in the outcome of this election.

Mark McAllister don't worry mark, luckily people saw sense and only returned one ukip MP
how can they have said UKIP will get one seat when they had 2 already without Farage?
by accurately predicting the result of the election
Sorry mark Mcallister, but you were wrong- ridiculously contrived and outdated politics don't win seats
