The Satori Graphics channel has rapidly become one of my favorites precisely because of contents such as this. I don't believe anyone else (at least that I have seen) has taken the time to talk about favicons. Some businesses do not think of every possible client touchpoints so it is up to us to really focus on these topics no matter how small. Kudos to you Thomas for presenting yet another video full of important info.

Loved it! Just as an idea, I find that your design of slides and animations in these videos are equally interesting as the content you are presenting. Perhaps add some details in the description as to which colors, gradients, fonts etc. you used... just a thought. I really love your colours and gradients, always looking forward to seeing you videos. Cheers!
It was a nice general overview....but that's information that is quite readily available...I was looking for actual design tips (e.g. how to abstract a complex logo and make it work as a favicon.)

Great information, love your videos, they are very helpful. One thing I wanted to point out with Favicons from my experience, when you were giving sizing examples and just how tiny they are, desktop browsers are actually even smaller than 32x32, they are actually 16x16 in the browser tab, 32x32 in taskbar shortcuts, and 96x96 for standard sized Windows desktop icons. Thankfully, we no longer have to make Favicons with ICO format only, I prefer the new method of using PNG's. Hope this info helps someone else out, and again, thank you for the videos you post!

Why is my favicon blurry/ pixelated
An often overlooked but crucial item is this. Any designer worth their salt would look into this along with the logo/design work.
If the original brief doesn't mention it you can offer it as an extra. The customer maybe very happy with your proactive stance.
Favicon is broken in Windows 10 and 11. Why would Microsoft develop such a valuable concept and then break it?
