@@novizadventures I stuffed the audio up a bit there and had the music to loud for the voiceover. We actually swam around to the beach on the other side and walked the beach down and then swam out to the point. And obviously reversed the whole process after. Proper mission carrying a big wettie float boat+dive gear for that walk haha.
Great commentary and experience. Found the same myself. Far more enjoyable getting out there with mates, or solo, and just enjoying being in the water, hunting.
@@snoop2477 Thanks very much for checking it out mate. Our local Cloughy Challenge is a comp I’ll definitely still participate in. No pairs, only 3 species from the list, held over a couple of days, massive prizes and plenty of beers 🍻. Definitely more like a days diving than a ‘comp’.
Great video. Really like the voice-over commentary. Also saw the boat parked out at the surf club during the cloughy challenge. Mate, beautiful job on the rebuild. The videos don't do it justice. How nice it is. 👍👌
@@blairhallinan4102 Thanks for checking the vid out mate. I recon the boat you were looking at was 19c with a white Yamaha on it. Very tidy rebuild on that one! My boat didn’t make it to the surf club.
I literally just finished unpacking from 10 days at Agnes Water/1770. As a line fisho we got 2 overnight trips to the reef and got a good lot of fish. The town itself I find awesome. We get a holiday rental each year and there’s plenty to do if the weather is shite.
For me at least it was just this style of comp, the travel, short time restraint, location etc. I love the Cloughy Challenge here in Mackay, just 3 species, it’s more about getting out and having fun with mates.
Comp diving is completely different to your regular day out on the water. I feel the same where id much rather just enjoy a days diving. But if you have been doing this for a while I can see the interest in the comps. Also has a lot of satisfaction if you are that way inclined.
I can definitely see the interest in it for sure. I guess it’s all about what you get or maybe more so what you want to get out of a days diving and it definitely wasn’t ticking the boxes for me. Thanks for your comment mate 🍻
Nice work mate, I don’t think I could do it either. Time limits, being told where to go and trying to find multiple species etc would take most of the fun out of it. For me fishing is about relaxing not making a job out of it.😂
Super impressed you swam from pancake creek to the next headland down!

I’ve got family in Brisbane, I’m keen to organise a trip and meet ’halfway’ take the family up there for a week, it’s a fantastic spot!
Thanks great to watch
@@adambooth600 thanks for checking it out Adam 🍻
Another great vid mate. It looks like it was a fun trip
It was a great couple of days mate.
Yeah I'm with you. Part of the fun of spearfishing for me is looking around, taking my time and just being in the water. Comps are not those things.

Hopefully one of those fish makes it way back to work ! BBQ at back of wet mess . Good honest vid , Luved seeing the manta and dolphins 😊

100% mate.
