I saw semiconductors in many platforms, but no clarity. But hearing to our legend in physics i have a vast clarity. Thanks to H.C.V sir and IIT - PAL for this innovative programme in encouraging poor students in aspiring IIT as a goal.👌👌👌📕📕📕🎓
*Wow* sir loved your lecture,PLEASE COVER OTHER CHAPTERS AS WELL ,YOUR TEACHING IS #GOD LEVEL, PLEASE SPARE SOME MORE TIME FOR US PHYSICS LOVERS ,IF POSSIBLE.
How many of you are still 👀watching this even after passing your 12th boards and whatever you're studying in your graduation is not related with this, but you can't resist!
Sir , why we are considering different kind of energy band in conductors and semiconductor means in silicon there is hybridization concept, and if we are considering hybridization then why not molecular orbital theory and same kind of analogy for all types of material.
It's because if you take the example of Na, then the 3s shell can get overlapped with the 3p shell. But in p block elements, be it insulators or semiconductors, the highest occupying shell is p shell, and the next unoccupied shell is of different shell quantum number, which makes it difficult for overlapping and hence the conductivity in semiconductors is explained in the way it is being explained. (Totally my understanding, could be something entirely different)
can be used for everything in which this chapter is included...... its the theory of this chapter for us to understand the concept ..its a lecture...which inc the level sequentially for us to understand the basics...and goes to the advanced level in depth..... u can use it for nythin.... this lecture is not meant for ny particular xamination.... its for understanding the concept... nd thts wt matters when we r learning somethin
Can we say that in solid state due to external atoms' interactions the outermost conduction band so created is actually a combination of so many new quantum states??????????
Energy splitted and it is because of interaction of electrons with other atoms electron and energy gap is already there even in single atom it is because of Bohr theory
34:00 Not well explained. Why hybridized sp3 states in Silicon crystal, unlike Sodium crystal? Why the sp3 states split into Valence band and conduction band with a 1eV gap in between? Disappointing that he ran through that part, knowing how important is Silicon and understanding its physics.

"WOW!!!" What an indepth knowledge
.... Great!!... hats Off to you
His knowledge, his aura has some different kind of energy. His smile makes us feel ki bacha its not that tough I am here to let you understand.
Everybody Gangsta till Hc Verma sir starts lectures
Ultra legend in physics
Thank you IIT-PAL for offering this wonderful lecture to us
*Wow* sir loved your lecture,PLEASE COVER OTHER CHAPTERS AS WELL ,YOUR TEACHING IS #GOD LEVEL, PLEASE SPARE SOME MORE TIME FOR US PHYSICS LOVERS ,IF POSSIBLE.
Thank u a lot sir, this has cleared some key basics that I was having since 12th class👍🙏🙏
This is love. This is what is called a true physics lecture. Thanks sir.
This is actually called "Concept of Physics"
Hc verma sir - smiling throughout the lecture
I think these lectures of h c verma should be made compulsary for all teachers before giving them degreee....
Correct
I was searching for a good concept video for semiconductors but coudnt find it anywhere . Really thank you sir for teaching us this ❤️❤️
Excellent 👌👌 lecture sir,u are one of a kind sir, legendary physicisit
Interesting concept. Thank you sir for teaching us this concept:)
Lucid, concise and conceptually brilliant! Thank You Verma Sir 😃
How many of you are still 👀watching this even after passing your 12th boards and whatever you're studying in your graduation is not related with this, but you can't resist!
Thank you so much sir...for making things clear...in such a easy way
Beautifully explained.🙏 Thanks a lot sir
Everyone is gangster untill HC Verma sir comes to teach 😁
Yess padma shri hc verma is without a doubt the GOAT of Physics
Sir , why we are considering different kind of energy band in conductors and semiconductor means in silicon there is hybridization concept, and if we are considering hybridization then why not molecular orbital theory and same kind of analogy for all types of material.
Refer to Quantum physics of semiconductor devices by Prof. Debdeep Jena.

Sodium vapour light that's why yellow😌 wow
spreading of energy levels 20:28
silicon atom 33:26
Thank you so much for the great lecture! Best regards from Ukraine!
Love it. Thanks a lot ❤️
Thank you sir .you are great and my role model
H C Verma sir you are the best
Please tell sir that are these videos for NEET and JEE mains exams or for higher classes ??
can be used for everything in which this chapter is included...... its the theory of this chapter for us to understand the concept ..its a lecture...which inc the level sequentially for us to understand the basics...and goes to the advanced level in depth.....
u can use it for nythin.... this lecture is not meant for ny particular xamination.... its for understanding the concept... nd thts wt matters when we r learning somethin
The man himself.
Thank you verma sir 😊
Huu... . .awesome lecture in flow
superb sir
Can we say that in solid state due to external atoms' interactions the outermost conduction band so created is actually a combination of so many new quantum states??????????
Sir is f =qe is valid even when electrostatic condition is not involved?
That's why there are other formulae for F .
F = ma (Classical physics)
Wow sir
Nice explanation but how does it is that holes are positive
I didnt understand that chapter.you wrote on semiconductors but now I understand
Bro these lectures are of board
level
Thanks sir
Yaar ye kitna accha padhate hai
WoW 🤩
Thank you Verma sir
Hi
Do u like physics mam
U r best
Very nice
Yaayyyy!!!hc verma sir
In case of magnesium explain why 3s and 3p overlap
Look at their principal quantum no.both 3 so almost close energy
I understood
thx sir
Thank you sir
Sir at 36:33 you said that the quantum states split
How do they split sir and why does the gap arises
Please explain🙏🙏
It is an Energy split!! An energy diferrence is created!!
Energy splitted and it is because of interaction of electrons with other atoms electron and energy gap is already there even in single atom it is because of Bohr theory
Thanks sir.
Is this for neet students ???
Great sir
27:25 "free electrons or conduction electrons". Same?
40:00 fantastic explanation of probability of electrons moving to conduction band and thereby holes in valance band.
49:10 Expt showing resistance increases w temperature in tungsten conductor. And resistance decreases with increasing temperature in semiconductor.
Overall, exceptional depth of understanding. Thank you Sir.
legendry .....
Nice
Can we collect electron from scattering light of sodium, and flow current
Like who else found hc verma sirs french accent....😅😅😅
Young modulus video …n.a
Sir mujhe 10th class ka 12no chapter ka bataye
Lecture+Book from same person
can i have my questions answered........
Why nice teachers not teach in Hindi😭😭😭😭😭😭
if they r using hindi non hindi students won't understand
Sir HCV🙏🙏😀😀
angrezo kuch seekho ....
Thanks sir
Thankyou sir
Like who else found hc verma sirs french accent....😅😅😅
