    Thank you Deb for a very helpful video. May I ask about the expiration date? Is there a rule of thumb? That's why you added a year??

      Actually very few products other than meats have expiration dates any more. They’ve been replaced with “best buy” dates. Instead of going bad, the quality decreases over time. I add a baseline of 1 year. It all depends on the product and how’s it’s stored. Some of the products I sealed will go for 25 years. Others have multiple ingredients and last only a year or two. Generally whole ingredient foods like rice, beans, and salt can last decades.

    I thought u could not vacum seal cause o pbutter has oil

      You can vacuum seal it but only until the expiration date. It will keep bugs and critters out. It’s a step up from the original packaging. I wish it would extend it but sadly, nope. It’ll only last until the date printed on the bag.
