Haha to be fair in a competitive drag race that’s the goal but RWYB just keep your foot in right until you go under the gantry, you have another mile to slow down so plenty of time!
Hiya, I'm thinking about trying to go there this year for my first ever time, but I'm a bit hesitant and nervous at the moment lol. Is that normally how big a crowd is watching at these RWYB events? 🥴 I've taken a look at the rules and can see that you don't need a helmet as long as you're under 110mph, so do you see plenty of people without helmets at these events, and thats totally OK right? Any idea, as someone who's never gone down a 1/4mile how I know whether I'd need one or not? I get the feeling I probably won't be getting near those speeds and you need fairly high power to get to that? Thanks
This is a themed event, a normal RWYB day the crowds are pretty low but you won’t notice them when you’re on the line so don’t worry! To trap 110MPH you’ll be in something fairly powerful, without knowing what you’re driving it’s hard to say!

Fairly quick but probably slow in terms of drag racing. I think it should be just a bit slower than a standard M140i which are commonly at these events. My guess is I might be somewhere in the low-mid 90's mph range? Complete guess. Do you like to run down the strip yourself too?

Yeah! The most important part of a 1/4 mile is the first 60ft that’s where you can gain the most time.
