Good afternoon Colin. What a nightmare considering the time of night and the fact that Saff was with you. I doubt I would have been so calm. The company seem to have dealt with things well and I think you were right to settle for the compensation they gave you. i suspect the cleaner got a bit of a rollicking hence the quick getaway. Just back on Wed night/Thurs morning from Adeje , met Kevin at the airport, what a proper gent he is, chatted with him for several minutes, poor lad was knackered and I prob didn't help lol🤣. I hope you and Saff have a cracking Christmas.❤

@COLSPLACE44 haha I reckon i do! 😁 it sounds like it was in easy distance of everything which helps Saff. I'm glad you had the car though least you had somewhere to sit while you waited.
Since i live very close to the airport in TFS and when planes are late are so annoying.. my suggestion of all of you that will come over here and to avoid problems with the accommodation is just, not getting late flights as much as you could, so many day time chances are available compared with night time and i will sleep better, thanks
😆😆 Not sure if your comment is serious or not. Firstly - when you decided to live very close to the airport, did you not consider that you might hear noise from….. aeroplanes? Secondly, the airport I depart from only flies to Tenerife 1 or 2 times a week. The airlines & airport dictate the departure times & its not something I have control over. For me to land during the daytime to suit you or to risk issues with accommodation might mean I have to travel further away to another airport for departure. I’m fairly sure you wouldn’t want to do this yourself. But like I said, I really dont think youre comment was serious but there’s my answer, just in case it was. 😁
I remember that what a nightmare the friend wasn't very reliable 😕 if totally honest I'd have been terrified if I couldn't have get hold of someone but I'd happy what they offered col ❤❤
Remember that well Col What a disaster you had ! I would have been furious with apartment owner but least there was an excuse from him & his ‘friend’ finally turned up in the end I would have asked for compensation tbf Good you liked the apartment though it was spacious & clean & very good value xx💖
There was a couple on one of the Tenerife chats and they had booked an apartment so what they thought only to find when arrived in Tenerife it was a scam so we do need to be careful with air bnbs look at reviews and speak to the owner by phone there are legitimate business owners but the odd one isn’t.Tenerife is a great place to visit and enjoy so we want legit accommodation.Always good to make sure.
Agree 100% Donna. Moreso if we go with children etc. This company had great reviews & they also trade independently away from Airbnb so i wasn’t too worried. It was just the hassle of not being able to get hold of them at the time! We live & learn 😁
