Craig Shakespeare is an unsung hero this season
It's nice that we can appreciate how far we've come since Deano took the reigns.
UTV
I cant believe im a villa fan with a striker I wouldn't want to replace even during a huge goal drought, what a man.
I didnt want this video to end lol love all the positive villa talk. Really is exciting times for the villa, we've waited so long to see a villa team capable of doing such good things, an maybe even great things 🤞🏻 UTV
Love it boys, glad to see Brighton with a mid week fixture in the cold. Onwards and upwards! UTV!
On Ollie Watkins, the man only missed 10 minutes of game time last season for Brentford, they went to the play off final, so that's a lot,a lot of football,
He's had the experience of the lower leagues, but this is only his second season as the main man up front, the potential for him is absolutely sky high,
Even after scoring a hat trick against Liverpool, the first thing he said was I should have scored more...he's so hungry to do well, the fee might have been laughed at at the start of the season, but there won't be many who think it was a ridiculous fee when he's in future England squads.
Looking forward to the Brighton match, with the amount of players they have out of their best 11, its another opportunity to do well against a tough side, and of course a great chance to get revenge after the reverse fixture.
I'm guessing 1-0 Villa Barkley to score
it's nice to have these selection problems, shows the strength of the squad
Great Podcast lads.well said Dan and Chris. This villa team is only starting a journey.Lots more to come from this team. Always proud to follow this Club good or bad days. # UTV
Dolan speaking so well in this preview, not that he doesn't usually! Excellent stuff both. So much positivity around the club at the moment.
Dolan has spoken so well. Great season so far, I hope we can maintain the standards we have set ourselves.
Great preview both. Thank you.
It's funny, I just watched that Gaffer video of Watkins yesterday as it got recommended.
Great watch! Good job again guys, most positive I have seen Dylan, Great to see and some excellent points. Love tuning in. Thanks lads.
Dolan looks a bit like Frankie Boyle! UTV KTF SOTC
Dan & Dolan is a great combination, really want us to chalk up another win and get us on the march to 50 points. Once we get to that milestone we can assess how realistic European football is.
Cracking preview/pod lads, villa view dreamteam has to be said, but always a pleasure no matter whoever is doing this, keep the great content lads, thanks, Villa is starting to be Great all-round again..... UTV 👍👏
If I've learned anything from this season, its to never be confident going into a villa game, still think we should pull through this one utv!
Dolan speaking truths. Let’s push on and get that European place 💜💙UTV
“You know”...
"We know"...
Loved it lads. I listened a few hours ago while I was working from home.
I must listen again, I think Dolan was actually making sense!!
I must have been too busy 🤭
Listening to Dolan say we are safe with such confidence is so weird. The classic villa fan in me still has doubts that somehow we might still go down 😂😂😂
I love this comment. It's so true 😂
@@villavilla07 oh to be a villa fan 😂
Even if we were top of the league with one game to go, I'd still have relegation doubts..
@@Bobby_sprinkles confirmed champions but nightmares of Smith Sackings
With Dolan’s comment, I’d be much happier if we were on 40 right now. Wasn’t it Newcastle a few seasons back who finished first half on 30 some odd points then only picked up 1 or 2 in two months???
Good to see you back Dolan
Great work lads. UTFV
the amazing thing about Watkins is that he is giving Grealish the assists he deserves.
Barbell - I have just listened to the 1874 podcast, on the Athletic app (which is fantastic by the way) and I could not believe my ears! Did Gregg Evans really say that he would have Bellerin over Cash?? Has he started drinking during the day!??
I have got a lot of time for Gregg Evans opinion (usually) as he gives a very fair and balanced assessment and is more often than not, bang on the money. However, that statement left me gobsmacked!
What got me the most was you didn’t pull him up on it, Dan!
Please ask him to elaborate on that next time you do a podcast with him. He has some explains to do! 🤣😂
Love all the work you are doing, mate. You are keeping us villains occupied with loads of great content while we are stuck in the house 👍🏻
I think I was aghast, I’m sure I made a noise, I’d need to listen back. I’ll pull him up on it next week.
@@danbardell8616 aghast! 🤣😂🤣 what a fantastic word!
TBF, I don’t think you actually caught what he said. I will look forward to hearing his explanation next week. Tell him to ask Arsenal fans who they would rather have! 👍🏻
Same as Dan I'm going for a 1-0 win. This team likes to rectify unjust results in previous meetings so I can see us getting our 7th away win this weekend. UTV
Great video lads, heady days indeed, big risk not getting back up for Ollie given Keinan’s fragile body. Saw nothing in Wesley, can’t see him doing much after a horrible injury, hope he proves me wrong. Dolan’s funny, cannot decide on a number, ever! Watkins is 23, 24, Jack is 24 25, In your 26 27 years of supporting Villa, best I’ve seen for 10 11 years etc etc. Dolan at home: I’ll have 7 or 8 biscuits with my cuppa please love.
Morning all.... What line up would you like to see against Brighton in Saturday.... should Nakamba start? Should Sanson get a chance in place of McGinn?
Standard Defence
Nakamba
McGinn
Barkley
Traore
Watkins
Grealish
I’d like to see nakamba again, he played well against arsenal
JACK GREALISH
OLLIE WATKINS
BERTRAND TRAORE
ROSS BARKLEY
JOHN MCGINN
MORGAN SANSON
MATT TARGETT
TYRONE MINGS
EZRI KONSA
MATTY CASH
EMI MARTINEZ
Come on you Villa boys!!!
As good as Wallie is...we still need another striker, even with Wes getting fitter
Let's all chip in a quid and upgrade Dolans Dial-Up connection! UTV
I remember people going mad that we'd spent the amount that we did on Watkins. If we sold him now he would definitely go for more than that.
Brighton will be a tough game. They seem to fly under the radar but they are a solid good footballing side. It'll probably be a low scoring draw or a 1-0.
veryyy superstioussssss
Can you think of a player Dean Smith hasn't improved?
There’s another game we shouldn’t have lost, now with a week off to prepare there’s no reason whatsoever to worry about imo against Brighton, the only worry is we can’t tuck the ball away enough times when on top and letting teams back on the game, if we had salah as well up front we’d be demolishing teams every week which is great but being to greedy as look how far we’ve come on such a short time as we know how close this team potentially can be to a top four side consistently in the next five years, great to be a villa fan after the dark times 😎
anyone thingk dolan looks like a young franky boyle
UTV!
Nakamba has only played against an awful Newcastle, off the pace Burnley and a good arsenal side but has done the job and got 3 clean sheets. So whats to say he shouldn't be in contention for many more games to come
0:3 Our time.
Keep Luiz out and we will win!
Dolan is so hypocritical about Smith's 'if you earned the shirt it's yours' thing, after going mad at the audience for saying Hause should stay in the team over Mings. Hause had two of the best performances we've seen and was dropped, El Ghazi got dropped, and Nakamba is getting dropped too.
You're forgetting El Ghazi got in their team through injury and even when playing well he was dropped when Barkley was fit.
@@CDolan1986 I still love you
Nobody talks about Matt Target
I think we might win 1-0 Brighton are a decent team
I'm going for a 2-1
“Every game’s difficult” is as much a cliche as it’s truth. Bit of an excuse should you lose. “We knew it’d be difficult.” The attitude should be, it’ll only be difficult if we make it difficult cuz player for player, were better than Brighton. That’s what top clubs like City and LP would be saying. UTV!
Brighton have some big lads at the back. Dunk, White, Webster, Burn, Veltman. Decent attacking players like March, Gross, MacAllister, Trossard, Maupay and the Irish lad up front. This could end up like West Ham if we try too many long hopefully crosses into the box, should scoring prove difficult. If we keep it on the deck and move it quickly we should be able to control the result. We still need to be clinical around the box! Nakamba should be rewarded with a start again. I wouldnt be surprised to see Sanson at some point. UTV!
Another great listen
agree. I’m saying for this particular match, with their injuries, we should have a better 11. You’re right, if we get frustrated and hoof it in and lose we will have made a match “difficult” that didn’t need to be. I’d take a draw. Hell, five draws gets us to 40! But under the circumstances a loss would be really poor. UTV.
I don't really understand Dolan's obsession with giving Ollie a 'day off', or having somebody to push him. He hasn't once given the impression he needs this... This is not the same as worrying about injury or suspension, which is ofc valid.
Always wise to have at least 2 quality players in each position. We don’t have that upfront. If Watkins gets injured we are in a bit of trouble
@@CDolan1986 I understand and agree from that angle. My post came across a bit harsh, I guess I'm not entirely sure what Villa are supposed to do. They're not in a position to find proven quality to come and sit on the bench, yet?
@@hotdiggityd I think Dolans point is that with how much he runs, it would be good to give him a little break. He does look tired at the end of games sometimes which is understandable with the shift he put in.
I also agree with what you said, not having someone push him for his place is not having negative effect. He plays like his career depends on it every time he puts on the shirt! But like I said, I think Dolan is saying it would be good if we had someone else we could at least trust to put a shift in.
I never thought I would say it but this channel is desperately missing a splash of TJ.
I agree
So funny. Allison better than Ederson. Yeah right 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Funny Dan has the worst hair do
