When the famous Sahabi Ka’b Ibn Zuhayr praised the poem in his famous poem Bānat Su’ād, The Prophet ﷺ became happy and gifted him with his cloak (Burdah). This was the first Qasidah Burdah.
The Prophet ﷺ ordered for a minbar (pulpit) to be made for Hassān ibn Thābit in Masjid al Nabawi for him to praise the Prophet ﷺ and prayed for him: Say! And may The Ruh Al Quds [Jibril] support you!
