YOOO mein board video, sehr nice ^^
Ende gut, alles gut, I guess.

    Thx a lot!
This was my Board and my friend sent it in.
We tried to fix it but lost all hope.
Amazing that you could fix it rather easely and actually made a video out of it.
    Thanks again

Everyone is getting the 5800 3D because it a cheap but very powerful upgrade.

Oh right i didnt show it, its a selfmade cabel. I used the pinout from the boardview to build a connector! I will show that the next time i do a bios flash!

    Hi.
What is the current consumption on your tester while running linpack?

The error may be due to a corrupt BIOS. Did the error occur suddenly? Has the CPU or RAM been replaced? Have you tried a BIOS reset? If your Board has BIOS Flashback you can easily try flashing it with a so prepared USB Stick and see if the Problem is solved.

You could have just started by flahsing the BIOS saving alot of time, as the customer told you that it had a failed BIOS update attempt.

you clearly dont have the first clue about diagnostics. always validate the issue before taking action

You are right, but as you were able to see, there was work done on the backside off the board and that could have also been a cause, but it wasnt in this case.

@@MainboardMedic Ok, but flashing the BIOS was not going to damage it anymore, and it faster than swapping CPUs and measuring current and so on. And you had the info about failed BIOS flashing. If it was me, in that specific case, I would have started by flashing the BIOS.
