I KNEW this was around somewhere!!! I've been searching for this show for SO long. I remember watching it in year 1. It was so good. Does anyone else remember an episode about the seaside? And didn't they have to search for some magic key at one point??
Indeed! Bayldon was also known as Catweazle, then later as the Crow man in Worzel Gummidge. Both are available on here in full episodes. The man is an absolute genius, and deserves a lot of respect.
Hi. I haven't seen this for yonks and only just discovered it again. I remember this episode and I seem to recall having to watch it at primary school one day when the heating packed up and we couldn't do normal lessons.
Almost 15 years and i still remember when they use to wheel in the television set in the class and every one one would bring ther chairs to the front and we would all watch this good times
I loved this! It actually really does sadden me that children of this generation don't watch stuff like this, they grow up on absolute crap. This was a fave ;)

YES! And we learn how braille was created because Louis Braille was in a workshop with his dad and had some accident with a knife? Or maybe that was a different history show, but it would make sense if it wasn't...

I loved this show as a kid. I especially loved the series where they met historical figures.

The little girl is Ingrid from The Demon Headmaster.
This was made along time before rebecca in Eastenders was born.
Funny you should say that, Bayldon was offered the part of the Doctor and refused. Hartnell was the Doctor for the first four series, I think..
@stockierulz You must be seeing things! I couldnt see it!
@MadcapMan yeah, in the early hours they do
Wow memories of being ill off school are coming back. Do they still show educational programs for kids on a school day in England?
Cant believe the grandad actor is still alive!
listentothis He isn’t alive.
Good memories
which channel broadcast schools programs?
I was quite getting into that. As a child I used to confuse Geoffrey Bayldon with Bill Hartnell for some reason.
Looks like mr. Catweazle finally got the hang of that time travel thing.
Aye, that he was.
Where do you get them? I used to use them with VHS/video cassettes, but we don't have a video machine anymore :-(
I don't understand why the BBC don't show stuff like this anymore, or at least the schools. Who or what can you blame?
I love horse !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I always found this funny when he took them back to the present day and his finger shook!
