Who else would do a song based on their team chant? For that matter, do other groups have a team chant? The funky bass line in 1,2,3 Eoi! kinda reminds me of New York, but then again there are tons of references to older songs, MVs, and only-MMM incidents throughout Mic On. Mamamoo being Mamamoo brings more joy to my life than anything else. The combo of their vocals, infectious songs and crackheadery puts them in a category by themselves. I was initially pissed at RBW for only releasing a 3 song single album (and calling it an EP) after a year's absence as OT4 and disappointed that Illella didn't chart higher or win any music shows. I've gotten over it by concluding that MMM just wanted to release a few fun songs for moomoos before embarking on their world tour and that kpop fans take Mamamoo for granted, as usual. I assume the world tour will include New York, which is probably the closest they'll get to you and me. Maybe I'll see you there. 😄

Both of the B-sides have a sort of non-stop motion that makes me immediately want to replay the song straight after it’s finished. It makes me want to, but I stay with my plan and listen to the whole album in order, and then repeat the whole album in order. Most of my car rides these days are divided into 10 minute blocks, where I listen to the whole album, let it ring in my ears for about a minute, and then restart it. Illella has a different energy from the other two, and I like the resulting sandwich effect. My journey into becoming a Moomoo was the opposite of what you described. I first loved them as people, by watching lots of fan-edits of Mamamoo goofing around behind the scenes. I warmed to them, and I remain deeply grateful to those RUclips Moomoos who out so much time and effort into making these videos. I didn’t really listen to their songs yet, because I was afraid it would be too much of a rabbit hole. Just little clips and compilations (including Um Oh Ah Yeh adlib compilations, and stage fail compilations, etc). But then one day I saw the Killing Voice video, and was awestruck. That was it. No looking back. 😅
1,2,3 Eoi is definitely my favorite. Of course I love all 3. I think the most important comeback thing you haven't mentioned is their appearance on "Look My Shoulder's Dislocated" Episode 5 and 6.1. They are eating and drinking with members of Super Junior and I think it's the funniest of the things they done for the comeback. Not part of the comeback, but you should really watch Solar's appearance on Listen up (competition show for producers). Swan (purple kiss) also had an appearance and they are both spectacular.
