After tackling The Lion King, Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, Mulan, and now his own Animation Studio Pencilish, Tom Bancroft is here to take on the cast of Stormfellers. In exchange, I’m redesigning his character Bjorn the Last Unicorn. Conflict? Art fights? Animosity and Contention?... not when two character designers meet. But you're in for a fun time!

Regarding Brook’s comments saying some people think indie animators arent “good enough” to get into a studio I definitely used to think that way back in college when I was too naive and stupid to know any bettee
Interesting to see both your processes! I really like bancroft's version of quilver-- he's so cute! Maybe a little off from what brookes was going for? Brooke's version of the last unicorn character was interesting too--i noticed brookes was iterating on the design a lot more than bancroft did his, maybe because horses are harder to draw?
Interesting note also on the indie animation thing--if I were an animator, that would definitely be my goal, not because I hate the industry or anything, but just because I really value the freedom to do what I want with my characters, even if that limits my budget. Good to know that's easier than ever!

*_Brookes has summoned a Disney animator to do a redesign contest between his character from his work (Storm Fellers) and a Disney character. And yes, the "Draw This in Your Style" is sometimes my way of trying to know character design... but some advised me to just stick with learning the basics while I can also experiment on my current style._*
*_And they favored on my originality more than trying to do others' work (Inspiration is better, but don't get too deep into fanfictions. Just do what you do best.)._*

Trying to get a job got to be hard...I tried to get a job, failed interview, never had a job, depression. Keep thinking of how useless I am. I guess I should get going in a mood of being useful, but always get yelled at on how useless I am. So Violence in nature. Why should I help, when I am useless? I am so lazy, don't want to be told what to do, but do it anyways. Wasn't the greatest at school. Should look at positive, but I am pessimist...When I told two people I want to join a place to go to, they laugh at me, ''You cannot do anything, why should you join?'' People want to step down on you. I don't want to say what I want sometimes, because people think that you are useless. They will hate you no matter what. I am not good at working at all. Sometimes I think of how much I can change, but I cannot. I am not pursuer of stuffs. I sometimes think of how much I waste my life doing nothing but waiting. I should do something about a way to help, but I do not. I wish to be a hero, but I am not trying to be heroic. I wanted to go have a dream, thinking that life is easy. I am a foolish guy, am I? I should try to do my best, but I am keep saying ''You are worthless, you are a piece of trash, you aren't very helpful at all.'' I wish I was a better person sometimes, but I am so negative.
Everyone knows that you cannot be perfect, but you also will never be worthless. There are always things to give to one another, the struggle is feeling worthy to even try.
It’s easy to do nothing, it’s easy to shame yourself for it. But as soon as you let yourself feel sad, you give yourself room to be better and to find help
I think I may have felt similar before.

God only made one of you in this whole entire universe, don't think for a moment that you aren't special or don't have purpose. You can't stay in the same bubble of your own thoughts forever, putting yourself down. The truth is, you are worth far more than you could ever imagine. And once you realize that, the whole world changes. Trusting in Christ, I have felt more myself than I ever have, and I can't say I'm never anxious, or negative, or angry, but I'm able to handle it because I know that the Creator of the Universe has my back and I'm going to be OK.
