If anyone is wondering, iwatotai dorm got new inhabitants after those 7 years because in P4A, we saw from ken's pov that he got funding from mitsuru to bring the dorm back. But we also know that ken just wanted to feel like he was back home in that time w/makoto 😭
Actually, the dorm was reopened because of the increase of the students in Gekkoukan High School.

Correct me if I'm wrong but wasn't the reason mikoto dies in the ending of P3 because the director of the game had something happen and not expecting him to make it his family all came to see him before the end?

nah i got an even funnier idea: one day when S.E.E.S are out fighting shadows for some reason or another alongside aigis who would then of course be fully aware of makoto's revival all the while no one else knew, as the gang proceeds to fight their target alongside aigis, they randomly see orpheus appear out of nowhere and rush in which they would be flabbergaster because aigis would have her original persona from before the answer but then knowing it was orpheus would suddenly realize just WHO it was that summoned them as makoto just casually walks up beside them all and they proceed to clap shadow cheeks as a team for old time's sake

NGL, one shot of Reload Makoto in the prologue made him look like Ren.

There is no reason for the MCs in P6 to revive Makoto because, they don't even know him.
Maruki's reality really was a blessing in disguise
I wonder if Atlus is building up to a moment like this. I keep seeing people say they might be, but those can always be just theories. Either way. Great job Jespo! I just finished P3P recently so this is specifically tender for me.
I mean, theories aside, Elizabeth Is (canon) doing who knows what, Arena-Ultimax Is the last glimpse about It, but still. If they ever want to do something like It, will take time and a good reason (real world development-finances). Still the P2MC had It worse and no one talks about him e.e
@@CasualLeagueI don't disagree but remember Persona 2 came out in the very early 2000s nearly 2 decades ago. There also hasn't been a modern P2 remake that was decent meanwhile Atlus pushes P3, 4, and 5 because that's the direction they wanna take the franchise. P1-P2 were more SMT games than what Persona would become, and are so different in some aspects I'd argue they are kinda different series entirely.
@@notthefbi7015 yeah, i was being funny, even tho p2 Is darker, dont really care, im all about p3 onwards. Besides, p1 and p2 are being remade, but the insider told those would not get the reload treatment, so they will be still relegated as not casual friendly till the end time.
Although that would be cool, I think it would undermine the games message of death, since makoto dies it would undo the work of the characters overcoming their grief death in the answer, after all the main theme for persona 3 is death
They probably had some plans to to that back in the early 2010s, but after persona 5 happened and shot the series’s popularity into the mainstream, they seem to have put that idea on indefinite hiatus while they milk as much as they can from 5’s setting
That was sad until the moment I saw Makoto casually listening to burn my dread. I laughed too hard to cry.
The Maruki ending:
No but wait this makes so much sense! This is totally what Maruki's reality did for Aigis. She'd obviously still be alive by the time P5 rolls around, and it wouldn't be far-fetched to say that her deepest desire would be to see Makoto again.
Timeline matches
i was fully expecting it to be ren in the P3 outfit based off the description lmao

so essentially this is a pseudo what-if based on an idea of elizabeth keeping her promise she makes to bring makoto back (something that was hinted at in persona 3 reload but not in any previous adaptation if im recalling correctly)
she was planning something in P4 areana/Ultimax, and Margaret did say in Pq & Pq2 she just disappeared out of nowhere.
@@teshindax3683 P4G also makes mention of this. When you fight Margaret in NG+, she mentions Elizabeth leaving. It MIGHT also be mentioned in the original P4, but I have no way of checking. P3D also hints towards it, as it's highly likely Elle-P is future Elizabeth trying to see Makoto one last time.
I have a theory that might proof Elizabeth already successed and the proof is (spoiler to P5)

The proof is Morgana. Last time we see Elizabeth she bring Thanatos to fight Erebus right? And what is this have to do with it if you ask. Because Thanatos is Ryoji and Ryoji is Morgana. Remember who is Ryoji? A shadow of Death arcana who take form as a human boy with black hair blue eyes and wearing yellow scarf. And who is Morgana? A shadow created by Levenza take form as a black cat with blue eyes and wearing yellow scarf and keep telling everybody that he is a human boy.
If my theory correct this should happen. After P4A before P5 Elizabeth somehow find a way to released Makoto's soul then came back to Velvet room and leave her compendium there and take on a journey again. Then P5 happen god of control imprison Igor and cut Levenza in half but before that happen she use Thanatos to recreated him as Morgana and sent out to find a Wildcard. The reason why it has to be Thanatos is he was lived inside a unawoken Wildcard for a 10 years he know who is unawoken Wildcard.

Honestly my head canon for the MC in metaphor refantazio is just makoto after he dies and gets transported to the world of metaphor, but he just forgets everything.

Persona has been missing YHVH. Imagine on this version we team up with a variant of YHVH in order to fight Nyx in P6.

@@5_marvelrinaldi621 ... you know? That actually sounds like a good way to deal with thr situation. Make Elizabeth understand the sacrifice Makoto did. Not just for humanity but for his loved ones.
She's someone who is unbound by time and space, so maybe to her, this concept is somewhat alien but tries her best to understand it. Until another journey makes her comprehend what the strenght of the heart allows one to do if it means their loved ones will be ok... only now she understand this concept unlike before where she only saw it happen with Makoto.
Thus taking his place and letting him come back with his friends and lead a normal life if he wants or another one of adventure alonside them. Maybe her mentioning that she doesn't mind since for her, time is meaningless... but most importantly, after understanding the feeling of love and self sacrifice, she really wants to give him another chance.
... that would be a sweet way to deal with this without undermining Makoto's sacrifice nor message. If a god like being understood the pain and love a human had when they willingly became a seal to avoid humanity's destruction, then it means even non humans can understand life (even if Aigis, Teddie and Labrys already exist in this case)

@@anameofmine wait a sec if there's a persona that can trap the manifestation of death then there's def a persona that can either kill/absorb/control but this persona must be fused wwith several powerful personas like Messiah and the others but none of the protags has met as far as i know but what if
@@yoya3748 Nyx isn't the personification of death. Nyx is a cognitive god that represents humanity's desire to die. If humanity lost that desire then Nyx's power would vanish. Similar to how Izanami was defeated by those who sought the true unfiltered truth and Jaldabaoth was defeated by those who desired to break all the chains that would hold them down. Nyx herself isn't technically being sealed as Makoto is more acting as a barrier for another cognitive being that functions as a herald as revealed in P4A. What people seem to forget is in the world of shadows you power is only as powerful as your will and strength of heart. Messiah is only as strong as it is because Makoto forged the bonds he did and channeling that power and his desire to protect his friends created the great seal

Theory: What if this Makoto is from the future? Maybe he’s from a future where humanity either went extinct or stopped desiring death, so the Great Seal was no longer needed and Makoto was finally set free, and then Elizabeth helped him travel back in time to the past?

Honestly wish this was cannon, considering that Elizabeth went missing after the events of P4 arena/ultimax and even in the other spinoffs (PQ & PQ2) Margret comments on how she just disappeared

I believe that with the events given to us in Persona 5/Royal, perhaps with the phantom thieves changing society... Perhaps this could be the happy ending Makoto gets

Spoiler to persona 4 arena: I mean, Elizabeth, P3 velvet resident is trying to find a way to bring him back without undoing the seal
For that to happen, it would require Erebus eradicated... but that thing is the manifestation of everyone's collective will to end theirselves. It's part of our nature as humans to think about that at leaat once in our lives. For Erebus to be dealt with, either humanity muat be extinguished or Erebus must be nuked every single second like Tien did with semi perfect Cell.
Not saying there isn't a way but as of now, it doesn't look like there will be a way for Makoto to come back.

Cute but lets be real, the protagonists death made the game 10x better. It was the entire point of the game to accept that your time is limited and to use it wisely.
