Thank you very much for your nice comments and messages as always! Love you all! ❤️ I just finished Korean caption, so English and Korean captions are available. 영어, 한국어 자막 올렸어요!
I love your Videos...just watching them to learn korean kitchen. I cooked Kimchi with cucumber first time its sooo great. And it was easy to prepare. I love korean kitchen. Thank you for All u are doing in RUclips. Its amazing and so lovely. I watch u from cologne in Germany. KEEP HEALTHY
I just made this for an early lunch because I just happened to have all the ingredients, including homemade kimchi. It took me about 20 minutes from start to finish to prepare this and the flavor is outstanding. I made a simple soup using anchovy/kelp stock, shredded spinach, green onion, toasted/crushed sesame seeds, and and a little seaweed. You're right Maangchi, the warm broth takes away the burn from the kimchi and gochjang. They really compliment each other very well. I'm so happy right now. :)
maangchi was the first person who introduced to me korean food years ago when i came across her channel i will always remember you when i make and eat korean food 😄
same here...my Ist korean food teacher..im cooking all Maangchi korean food what i mastered is making Kimchii super authenthic kimchii..Thanks to u Maangchi🥰♥️
What I have learned from cooking dishes from many cultures is that the basic tastes (sour, sweet and so on) are best added to a dish not in the easy way (vinegar, sugar, salt ...), but rather by adding ingredience that also add other flavours while giving a specific taste. And because I often don't care about tradition when making new recipes, I can combine things that normally dont really go together. Like fish sauce, white wine and date paste. This way many interesting flavours can be created. Being open minded makes for good cooking. And thank you to Maangchi for the great inspiration!
You think like me! When cooking meals from various cultures, you end up with ingredients from all over. I just start combining things like how you described.
I disagree, sometimes simple flavor like the kind that you get from white salt + vinegar + garlic + oil + chili flake is already amazing (recipe to try: baked eggplant with garlic in chinese style). My family's recipe for dipping sauce also simply using garlic+white vinegar+soy sauce+pinch of sugar, great for baked fish, boiled chicken, etc. There are many Asian food that use white / dark vinegar that would taste super weird if it's replaced with other ingredient like kimchi / sauerkraut/ pickle. So my point is, every ingredient is delicious, even if its just an ordinary white vinegar. With the right combination, the simplest ingredients can create wonderful flavor.
your cooking and stories bring me comfort, i lost my mama 9/20. it brings me comfort watching your vids. we used to watch and try recipes. thank you.. Maangchi for bringing me comfort.
I made this dish with my homemade kimchi also made from your recipe and it was so delicious!! And now I know the mystery flavor that keeps me addicted to Korean food is sesame oil! Thank you so much Maangchi!! 감사합니다 !! 😁
Oh hell ya, my Korean friend Daniel Park made this for me back in 1995 in Houston, TX. It was soooooo good. Thank you for the recipe so I can make it myself.
I just tried my nephews kimchi and it’s absolutely amazing! And he gives you credit for the recipe. So, of course he tells me to follow you cause your recipes are out of this world! And that’s why I’m here cause I love me some authentic Korean food. ♥️
I haven’t had this in so long since I moved out of my parents’ house to go to grad school. I made this after watching your video. I’m so glad the wal-mart near my house sells kimchi. I added a ripe avocado as well! It’s sooo gooodd. I pan-fried some beef brisket to eat with my spicy cold noodles. SUCH a good combo. 😂🎉❤ Thanks Maangchi! You inspire me to get up and cook!
I always follow you from afar without leaving any trace or comments but today I would like to thank you for all that you present through your cooking videos. Your content is a real inspiration for those who love good food. Warm greetings from Atlas mountains in Morocco. Dar's Cooking Ideas channel
Definitely going to make this recipe tomorrow. My 5 years old niece said it's looks yummy. But i told her it's going to be spicy. She said she can tolerate it just like your teokkbeoki recipe. 🥰
It's been a long time I wanted to try one of your recipes Maangchi. I did bibim-guksu today and it is absolutely delicious ! Thank you! ❤️ Cheers from France
In the region of my country, where I live, it is very hard to find Korean food without driving a long way. this led to me realizing I should learn to make it myself! I love the flavors of Korean food, and your recipes are very easy to understand as someone who is new to cooking! Thanks for your content!
Hello. Whenever I feel like eating something good, I reach for your recipes. I am just making express kimchi and thought what Mangchi is interesting with kimchi. And bingo, kimchi noodles and chicken with teriyaki sauce. I love you, Asian cuisine and being inspired by your recipes. Thank you for your presence, because when I cook, it feels like you are standing next to me and smiling. Greetings from Poland.
This is one of my favorite comfort foods. My mom would make this dish often when I was a kid and I always called it, 'Korean Spaghetti'. It wasn't until much later in life when I asked her for the recipe, and found out the actual name of the dish.
