This movie did hold up over the times, and got better with age. I was happy to meet Nia Peeples at a restaurant in Los Angeles one time, and got some photos together with her.
did you know she replaced the 1st island girl? for some reason the original girl had to drop out, so they hired Nia & had to reshoot all of "kailani's" scenes. crazy, right? she is do aWeSoMe!!
@@samimoring1235yeah now that you mention it I think I heard that yeah and saw some of the footage with the other girl. There was no magic there. Nia was/is so magical and the chemistry was unstoppable.
North shore and point break are two of the best surfing movies . I.e. with actors and written story line ,other than surfing films like endless summer (which is fantastic) and others that are surfing competitions etc.
Daniel Lee - the dude who played Turtle from the North Shore movie was actually also in Point Break, played one of the bank robber surfers along side Brodie/ Patrick Swayze.
We grew up with the best movies. I was pumped up with adrenaline flowing, my heart on fire! I don't get that effect now with newer movies and I know I'm older, but I still watch these films and feel it again like magic!
@@chaddeez8446 Nowadays you have to dig to find a good movie with heart. Too many pretentious dramas full of boring dialog and throwaway comedies that you never watch twice. When I was a kid so many mainstream films became instant classics
Still waiting for North Shore the sequel. Rick said he'd return. Start with this..he has a love child with Lani but didn't know. Rick lives in NY and is a successful artist. Lain didn't want to tell him coz she didn't want to ruin his art career.
