I have the Strike CWC 8M (in yellow). Absolutely love it. Very powerful, very easy to control, very easy to pump. I was foiling in 8 knots (not a whitecap in sight -- I'm 215 lbs). Love it. Absolutely my favorite. I have been sailing a Naish 6.0 which may be a bit heavy and a bit wanting on 'grunt'. Certainly in comparison. The 8m was barely more difficult to 'manage' (when flipped, for instance) than the 6m Naish. Elastic leash is a huge advantage - nice touch. The lack of a window means you have to be on your game... I got a little closer to a couple of leeward sailboats than I intended. The two large handles take a moment to learn, but the sail seems to find its optimum whatever you are doing. The handle thickness is another sacrifice for weight and a little hard on my hands, but probably the right tradeoff.
We will post footage asap. unfortunately winter is coming and our local lake is closed from 1/12 to 15/2 for all sport activities. Maybe we'll go to another lake...
Hi! Nice video thanks, i have a strike v2 5.5, i would like to get a cwc 8m, but as i dont find the wingspan anywhere, i am not sure i could manage with my height 5'9"... Have you measured it? Thanks
Hi, I'm 1m82 for reference... I don’t really pump my 8m, you have to be able to get on your foil after max. 3 pump movements. The wing is simply too big to pump, once on the foil the wingspan is no problem. Just always keep in mind it’s a big wing, for me it’s a session saver. Only buy this if you want to foil in very light winds... with 12kn it's almost too powerfull. You will never have the playfullness of a smaller wing. I have some footage where I compare the size of my wings... will opload it later this evening...
@@simonjandrell5897 Windsurfed 20y ago and switched to kitesurfing because we did not have enough hard wind conditions where we live... if you have the right conditions, windsurfing is a great sport...

thx for the feedback... we did not try it yet unfortunately... hopefully in the next weeks... with 67kg the lowend will be very good I think...
Thanks for the comparison as I have the 6m too. Very helpful
By now we have a few sessions on it, and the strike is much much stiffer than the swing... world of difference.
@@yannickver yes I saw your recent vids, very impressive light wind performance
Thanks for the comparison! Would love to hear your thoughts on how the Strike performs in the lightest of winds.

Exactly what I wanted to see. How tall are you? I'm 175.26 CM 5'8"
182 cm ;-)
@@yannickver 6' I might have a "little" problem with height. Maybe the 7.0 will be better for me. I love my Strike 5.0
Nice !
Thank you! Cheers!
8m Wing what a Beast
it's perfect for low wind... we will use it a lot on our lake with anemic irregular winds... we get on the foil with 8 kn so far...
@@yannickver looks impressive i mainly Windsurf but think will one day switch to this..
