Thank You sir for making such valuable content available for free on youtube!
My brother suggested me your playlist. I literally thank him after each topic. :)
The last answer could be 10x9x7 if we start counting the numbers from one's digit place instead of hundred's digit place, so what is the rule or actual answer?
Same query
in such questions with constraints, there is no as per rule but starting from left most digit is better.
exactly my query
You cant put 0 at once place if it is then in some where 0 will come also in tenths place like100 but to be distinct digits the only way which is left is 9 ways on once place
It can be 8*10*8= 640 !
Seriously i agreed with sheetal gandhi
I was looking for this kind of videos thanku you sir
if I find this video when I was in school, maybe I rank in board
Superb. Thanks.

Very very helpful
thank you so much sir
Thank you sir
Sir where is practice video on surds and indicies
why not 7*9*10
Thanks 😊
In the 3 digit number without repetition, what if I start from the units place and say there's 10 ways to fill it, then in the tens place there's 9 ways to fill it and then in the hundreds place there's 7 ways to fill it. Then won't it be, 7*9*10?
I understood what you explained, but I just wanted to ask how is this incorrect?
hey same doubt do you got the answer??

CAN ANY ONE TELL MY WHERE I FIND QUIZZES SIR IS TALKING ABOUT ?
Can I start with PnC directly without previous lectures?
Yes you can, the basic of PNC is any which ways " Different forms of counting" which is shown here. Good to go !!
@@sreyashroutray811 Thank you✨
I struggled with Permutation and Combination (PnC) because it was never introduced during my school years. During my CAT preparation, PnC was covered very quickly in coaching, assuming everyone already knew the basics. Despite trying hard, I couldn't grasp the fundamentals on my own, even after attending 7-8 hours of coaching lectures. The teachers were moving at a fast pace since I joined late in May, and by the end of August 2024, they started with modern math, ours syllabus is late and center is panicking as they were only able to cover arithmetic till now, no other topic is touched. You folks are lifesavers, providing all this content for free-it's a gold mine for CAT aspirants!
The 13th video with 32:17 duration is apparently the 9th. Hope this helps !!

Sir ,how we conclude that only three digits there for deriving natural numbers..?
Sirji kahi kahi galat Bata dete ho aap
Thankyou Sir.
Thank you so much for everything you do.
hello sir, ive one doubt. in the second problem, if i come from the right i.e. from 1's 10's and 100's digit answer will be different isn't it ? 7*9*10
You have to do it from left only
Then u miss those no. in which 0 is there on either 10's or 100's place
If you start by picking the 3rd digit, it's less straightforward. You have 10 choices for the 3rd, and 9 choices for the 2nd. But you run into problems when picking the 1st digit, as your number of choices varies depending on whether 0 has already been picked. If it has, you have 8 choices. If it has not been picked, you have 7 choices, since it cannot be digit 2, digit 3, or 0
@@sunilsharma-sy3nc Hi. So what can we do for in that case. Logic for units digit ?

Why can't we start from units place...taking 10 options for units place and so on
Did u get the logic ?

Ok. I didnt get the logic of ones place but why to avoid it. U can check replirs ok j lenin comment.
Replies of*
@@rashmidutta7151 You can do it also from units (ones) place. In that case you have to do it for 3 times; first for 1 to 9 and then considering the '0' in units and tens place.
---------------------------------
i.e.
Considering only 1 to 9 digits in all places: 9 digits in units place so (9-1) in tens place and (9-2) in hundreds place so 9*8*7 = 504
Then considering '0' in units place so in tens place any digit from 1 to 9 we can put and in hundreds place (9-1) because we have used 1 digit in tens place so 1*9*8 = 72
Then considering '0' in tens place so in units place any digit from 1 to 9 we can put and in hundreds place (9-1) because we have used 1 digit in units place so 9*1*8 = 72
Add all this 504+72+72 = 648
Thank u sir
great video sir

permutations and combinations lecture 9 is missing
Where are the missing lectures? Are they all completely available in some other platform??
I'm asking because they are still missing and that's causing lot of problems for me.
on the name of 13 th video,2 videos are repeated just look it once:)
In the question of finding distinct 3 digit numbers, why did we not start from the right? In that case we would have 10 options on the one's place, 9 options on the ten's and 7 options for the hundred's place, giving the answer as 630. Why is this method wrong and why are we supposed to start counting from the hundreds digit only?
You can't have 10 options in one's place. Try writing out 10 digits in one's place say like below
100
101
-----------------------
102
103
104
105
106
107
108
109
here we've taken 10 options in one's place, but numbers above drawn line are invalid, as digits are repeated in those. But we have to give 2 digits out of 10 options to 10's place and 100's place, without choice, else there won't be any chance to form number without having number in the first place, when you've taken all 10 digits in 1's place only. Hence there must be
8 choices at max for 1's place
9 choices at max for 10's place (as one digit choice is taken from 1's place it could be between 0 to 9 minus one digit which has been used at 1's place)
if you're not getting it again, try writing it down on paper, and cut all numbers having digits repeated, and see the results.
sir can you please provide me 9th lecture becoz it is missing here in youtube
right now
It's just a numbering mistake
