I still have a 1978 Chevy Pickup 1/2 ton 2 wheel drive, with a factory 454 engine with a 400 transmission and factory bucket seats. They called this a heavy half ton with one extra rear leaf spring and that way there was no 2 smog pumps or 2 catalytic converters on it. Of course the next year they couldn't do that. I changed the color to kind of a school bus yellow. It was fun to drive and it is still all stock except for the wheels,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

I was working in the oil fields doing heavy duty mobile mechanical service! I bought a 72 Dodge Demon from a dealership it was at! Then the salesman/friend convinced me to buy 2 brand-new trucks! Telling me to put them away for 20-30 years that because these trucks were limited editions= $$$$! So Iwent home owning a LITTLE RED EXPRESS TRUCK & a WARLOCK TRUCK! Still have both trucks less than 10,000 miles on each! Bought 2 Chevrolet trucks brand new the SYCLONE & the TYPHOON! Same friend recommend them!
If that was Leno's 68 Bronco. It does not have a 5spd manual gear box. It has an automatic trans. According to the pictures.

The GMC Cyclone was actually faster than the Corvette in both the zero to sixty and the quarter mile. I had a Typhoon which was the SUV version of the truck.
I remember when the Grand Nationals came out.Buick kept it under wraps from everybody even the Executives at GM.They got mad when the Grand Nationals smoked the Corvette.

The HD F150 during that era of seemed like every 5th truck at a jobsite was a HD 150. Over exaggerated? Probably but not by much.
I wasn’t too impressed with the Harley F 150 so far as styling but this is an amazing collection.
The model A did not have a synicromesh transmission. It has all straight spur gears. I own several A"s.

I'm not implying that your delivery was poor -- and yet, Jay Leno is unique.
Jay Leno's Bronco is not equipped with a 5 speed manual transmission. If you look at the steering column you will notice that the shifter is there meaning that the vehicle is either an automatic transmission or a 3 speed manual known as "3 on the tree". The floor shifters are for the custom transfer case. (1 lever is for high/low 4x4 the second allows you to only engage the front axle in a 2 wheel drive configuration that can make the vehicle front wheel drive if desired)
You sure the Sam Walton truck isn't a hybrid? It has exhaust pipes.

At 13:16 "automatic transmissions weren't common yet". Is he saying they were out there in 1916? The nearest I can think of is the model T Ford who's 2 speed transmission was very much like the more modern Chevrolet powerglide except the clutches and bands were manually activated rather than hydraulically activated. Also the model t brake was incorporated into the transmission. So i guess my question is, was there an automatic transmission in 1916?

You're dispensing innacurate information! That Harley Davidson F150 is NOT supercharged and it has no more HP than a standard f150. They didn't get supercharged lightning engines until they were supercrew trucks in 2002 I believe. You literally showed under the hood where there is clearly no supercharger but you still said it's supercharged.. lol

The narration on this video is pretty lousy and a lot of the images don't necessarily represent the trucks that they're talking about. Worst of all, the number one pickup truck is actually not a pickup truck but rather an SUV.

All I had to see was that thumbnail with a misappropriated image, the weird name, a few seconds of AI narration and the contents for me to report this as misinformation. The algorithm is recommending more and more of this crap.
This is a terrible video. Can't even spell Syclone correct even though the name is on the side of the truck. Don't even get me started about showing an ICE F-150 when talking about the Lightning and the NA 5.4 when talking about the supercharged one. Which, by the way, wasn't even available in 2000 in the H-D version.
