A fascination that I have in listening to you gentlemen through these episodes is how intertwined your conversations are with the word. Your ability to even reference along as you speak ex: “in Matthew 5... without scrambling through your pages... I’m guessing just years and years of being in the word. I just love that. It’s a goal for me. Thank you

claudia smith . That’s what the Bible says. Funny thing is miss Kay miss quoted the Bible saying “ cleanliness is next to godliness” which isn’t in the Bible. But that’s okay. We should be clean on the inside and the outside. Jesus did more for women than any women’s movement since His time on earth.

I absolutely love hearing the stories and comentary! Its inspiring watching a family come together and sort out difficult subjects, with the amount of patience and love for one another, that y'all posses.
Coming from a married, 25 year old woman, I completely agree with Jase's intamacy techniques. Any woman should be thrilled with a man that devotes that much attention to her and their marriage. Most men dont think that way, no matter their age.

The "Common" man these days, isn't getting a pay check, money is tight, and the word "extra" is not in our vocab...The stock market as a hobby, is just a polite way of saying I'm addicted to gambling. It's the thrill of the "hopeful win" that makes it addicting..doesn't matter if its the NYSEx or a poker machine in Vegas...I'm not saying it's a sin, just saying they are both the same exact thrill...Just my 2 cents :) I love you guys, and you truly make a positive difference for folks, and PHIL....I'm with you...how much do you really need?? :)
That's how I've always viewed it, I stay away from stocks and casinos. I have never had a whole lot of money, so it doesn't take much to gamble what I have; whether it is driving to the next town in hopes gas is cheaper, or not volunteering for overtime to go on a vacation with the family. What is considered gambling to some; may not be considered gambling to others, money is just paper, but our souls are forever.
Something Phil may enjoy. I am a 25 year old Farmer (and software engineer). The wife and I raise our own hogs, chickens, and ducks, and turkeys. In spring we plant our lettuce, broccoli, cold weather plants. Come April/May the corn, squash, pumpkins etc go in.
We put up our chicken supply in April for the year, buy feeder hogs in April/May and butcher in fall, and buy our turkey poults in June to butcher for Thanksgiving. Currently sitting on 300lbs of fresh pork, with 300 chickens "on hoof". At peak season we have 800 chickens.
Much like Phil, grocery stores aren't that important to us haha
I am 68 years old and until I heard Jase explain the difference between gampling and poker, investing in the stock, etc I thought like Phil. I threw it all together. Thank you Jase for making it clear 👍
I catch, filet, and fry the fish as well as clean around the house too.

Phil Robertson is an inspiration to all who will take the time to listen. I lived a life of sin. I drank, I did drugs, I fornicated with strange men. I know have turned it all around. I pray to the lord every day. I follow the lords ways and you Phil Robertson, you have opened my eyes. I'm alcahol and drug free. I asked for forgiveness and to be saved. Thank God for you!

I have had basically one really bad vice in my life and that is sports gambling. I've been addicted for twenty years and have lost untold thousands. As Jase said you shouldn't gamble when you fear losing your money. I have violated that advice for twenty years. The ONLY positive for me during this coronavirus pandemic is that I can't lose any money because the sports are shut down. And hearing that gambling is not mentioned as a sin anywhere in the Bible seems like not much of a deterrent for people like me. I did thoroughly enjoy today's conversation! Love these podcasts immensely.
You might get people to bet on reruns. When my mother in law was with us she was constantly celebrating back to back home runs by the same guy. She would have taken your bet.

LOL (Don't get me wrong, it's not just this episode... : ) That said; some very good & true things re: work & investment are mentioned here, including those Bible versus! (Oh yeah, and women DO want a "provider". LOL)

Cleaning the house to my wife's specs is not something I will ever excel in but I'm thinking you've hit a home run and just don't know it yet. We're 60 at my home. At bedtime we've usually worked all day and are exhausted by bedtime. Don't lose hope you're definitely on the right track. The payoff for what you have done will be great, consider checking in the morning if you have a little extra time. James another thing to consider is taking a few minutes and writing your wife a "I love you note", very important as Phil has mentioned several times in the past!

I'm gonna say a prayer now for you. It's really hard and your gonna have to suffer for a few days. Believe me I have been there and it was rough. when it's over you will feel relief. No more worrying about getting your fix. I'm sure your at the point where it's not fun anymore and your just doing it so you don't get sick. You see it's a problem and that's half the battle. Life will be so much better without it and I promise that it's worth a little suffering to be done with it. God has a better life for you but you have to reach for it. He has given us the strength to do it but you have to use the strength he gave you to quit. Then you will look back at that horrible time in your life and feel relief that it's in your past. Change your ways and stay away from those people you get it from. I moved 500 miles away to make sure I was no longer around it and started a new life with my family and it's the best thing I've ever done. 10 years ago God told me I needed to change and it was the best decision for me, my wife and my wonderful kids. So you see I know exactly what it's like. I've been through it. I'm praying right now.
Eric Clapper Thanks brother. I know exactly what you mean. It stopped being “fun” along time ago. I been going 14 years. My mom actually prayed one morning for God to show her a sign if I was still using. To this day that’s one of the most vivid answered prayers I’ve ever witnessed. It’s along story but no doubt God answered my moms prayer that morning. I got clean and of course a year later I backslid. But God answered that prayer and I know he’s gonna help me through this I just have to surrender completely.

Jase is right... its knowing how to read other people... also not bluffing with weak hands and simply knowing all the ins and out of the game .... all this combined increases your chances of winning. Same thing with stock market or other investments.... just know what your doing gives you a greater chance of success.
I feel the same way Jase does on the stock market.
I buy and hold. I use the cash app so I can buy fractions of shares as low as $1. And I get dividends which add up over time. One tip I heard was "if you like something, don't just buy the product, buy the stock."
So glad Jase got a new bible. No pages flying everywhere!

Jasse, I have a son like you. He is a Christian and a " talker". He has a habit of interrupting me and not letting finish my thoughts. Do realize you do that to Phil and Al. This episode didn't have any "bible study " to it . That's what I watch UNASHAMED for. I like how your conversations leads into a discussion on the bible. This one didn't. We talk about your program in our little church group. I would hope this one ( ep69) wouldn't be the first introduction to UNASAMED for them.
I respect you all and I'll continue to watch, but please interject more " bible study" than you did in this episode .

It’s a Christian based podcast; not necessarily a full on Bible study. This episode was no different than any other. They had a discussion and tied it to what the Bible says. There was most certainly some Bible study in this episode. Lighten up and enjoy it.
I feel sorry for the guy at the beginning. My husband often gets a “reward” as a down payment for help with the house or kids or errands. It is more than sexy when he helps me. I have arthritis and autoimmune disorders, so it’s a deep expression of love for me when he helps. If he feels so tired from his two jobs, one as a firefighter, and wants to sleep I try not to pour about it when I had hoped for intimacy. But if he’s willing and eager I don’t hold back my love and appreciation for him.
