I'm in! I have been a Seamworks member for a number of years and have started the design your wardrobe several times but I think doing it along with you will inspire me
I lived inthe midwest for 24 years. Moved to FL and I cannot imagine ever moving back to the dreary, cold winters. Seasonal affective disorder is a real thing.
Love the idea. I look forward to seeing your updates. I'm planning my autumn/winter sewing this year for the first time; I've lost so much weight nothing fits anymore. I have tons of patterns, but not a lot of fabric, so I'll be buying new fabric too (YAY!!!).
I’ve been a Seamwork member on and off since it launched. I’ll be participating in Design you Wardrobe for the first time. I’m really looking forward to it. Can’t wait to see your updates.
I'm also in a little bit of style journey, so I've been appreciating your content about it. P.S. I love how you've been wearing your hair lately! It totally makes sense with what you have been saying about changes in your clothing style. :)
The DYW sounds like something that could be super helpful for me. A process to follow sounds awesome. Thanks Whitney for bringing it to our attention through your channel 😊 I’m in!
I'm keen to follow your vlogs to see what you make from DYW. For me it seems quite in- depth, overwhelming, not something I'm up for atm, but it'll be good to see what the program does for you. 😊
I LOVE the idea of you running a challenge, you're going to be so good at this!😍 And I really really love the idea of getting us to use precious fabrics, I really need to get fabrics on bodies!!!
I have joined the DYW just two days ago and I’m so exited that you will be doing it as well! I’m like many others here, tried to work DYW few times but always something came up. I think this time I will be able to finish it because of your videos are always feeding my sewjo. Thanks for the great work and effort you (and Jenny) put in to your channel!
Thank you Whitney for the discount code. I've joined and started printing all the resources! I've gone down the rabbit hole looking at all the patterns and excited about trying them!
I just joined Seamwork so I can participate in the Design Your Wardrobe program. Its perfect timing because last week I purchased your how to select pattern companies based on your body. That class will come in handy for the program, Can't wait to see what you will be sewing. BTW - Love your Cashmerette Sew-alongs.
I've started doing this sort of thing all because of watching you. I've pretty much planned out what I want to sew, but if it's ok to sew along with you, I'm game! I have the fabrics all picked for the most part, may need to go over exactly which patterns I'll be using. But yeah! I'm in!
I'm so glad you did this video. It reminded me that I have a Seamwork membership and coincidentally it auto renewed this week! So, I went on the website and discovered that I have 74 credits! Omg.... I better get cracking! Lol
Hey Whitney: Just wanted you to know I still view when I can, but have been extremely busy....my husband of 33years has been diagnosed with cancer and will have surgery on the 27th of this month-and I have been diagnosed with a precancerous pancreatic cyst. I didn't want you to think you lost one of your viewers!! Take care, and we still send prayers up for your mother and family. Diane
Oh my goodness, Diane! I am so sorry for all the health diagnoses. I can't even imagine how stressful this time is for you and your family. Please know that I am also sending up prayers for you guys as well!
Seamwork member here. So glad to see you work with them. This will be my third time I do DYW. This time, I’ll be focusing on basics. I’m excited to see what you make.
Oh, the style journey ! With traveling and moving from the southern hemisphere to the northern hemisphere, it has been a real thing! I am excited to see what you are going to make. I also think that I maybe need to join Steamworks!!
I'm going to join you, not sure how well I'll do. I need to use my stash because I refuse to buy new fabric untiil I get rid of some of my fabric. I have tons of patterns I need to try. Can't wait.
It sounded like you regenerate make you didn't like a fails. I think it will be more helpful to think of them as misses, especially since you are wanting to experiment.
Thank you for posting this about seamwork. I just joined and I’m quite impressed with all the content also impressed with the 50% discount. This discount remains every year as long as I stay a member. ❤
I really like Seamwork’s ideas on organizing a wardrobe and love their podcasts. I am a Cashmerette and a Mighty Network member and joining yet another monthly or yearly venue is out for me. However I will join in on the capsule planning and fun!
@@TomKatStitchery Oh, yes! I plan to do just that. After watching your vlog, I downloaded Canva and I’m playing with it now. I’ve heard you mention it before but I didn’t try it. FEAR. Ha
I’m a Seamwork member and have tried to participate in DYW a few times but life always got in the way. Hopefully since you’re doing it this time, it will inspire me to actually do some sewing this time! I LOVE the earrings you’re wearing in this video. Where did you get them?
Oh good! I hope to see you in DYW. Ava and I are both excited to go through all the modules. As far as the earrings, I grabbed those here: www.aberlinebelledesign.com/en-us . They are resin and really lightweight!
I am SO in! This past year has been about “filling in the gaps” of my wardrobe with much needed basics. That really didn’t allow for much creative sewing, however, my free time was spent purchasing fabrics…lots and lots of fabrics! As I watched this video, I felt this is the organizational and creative tool I need to start sewing pieces that I’ll love to wear! Thank you, Whitney!
Hi Whitney, thanks for all the great info as always. I would love to see a video on you making a mood board on Canva. I’m trying to get myself out of a sewing slump and I think a little planning and mood board could really help. Thanks. 💚
This may run a bit long. On the subject if mother daughter bonding. When I was 11 my mother decided that my dad and I should “bond”, and since he loved golf that would be a good activity to bond with. This was back in the 60s and he belonged to a fancy golf club that did nit allow Juniors or women on the course on the weekends, except after 2PM or on this 9 hole course out in the back of beyond. You have the picture. So Saturday mornings we would go out to the goof course and he would play 9 holes with his buddies, and I would take a golf lesson. ( I did have the cutest outfits, ‘cause the shorts had to be a certain length etc etc). Then when my lesson was finished we would meet up and head off to play 9 holes on the course in the back-of beyond. Well the harder I tried the worse I played, and the worse I played the harder I tried. My dad would try to be very encouraging, and give me hints etc. By the end I was close to tears and we would head home. Upon arrival I would slam into my room and declare I was never golfing again. My mum would “accusingly” as my dad what he had done. Innocently he would say “ I don’t know” and she would give him a smack on the arm ( nothing serious, no need to call the cops on abuse or anything). To this day I want to like and enjoy golf but my dreams r haunted. Hope your mother daughter bonding goes well🤞🤞😊
Oh my! I can totally see how that could happen. Golf was one way I bonded with my Dad as well, though I do really like playing to this day. I'm looking forward to spending some time with my girl on this one!

Just reactivated my Seamwork membership and looking forward to the Design Your Wardrobe class. It will be fun and a source of inspiration to do it concurrently. What is your user handle on Seamwork? I’m TeriR.
I looked at the number of Seamwork patterns I've purchased and realized it would have paid for a membership. So I went ahead and joined. I'm so disorganized and need to figure out what I need vs what I think I need.
Disappointed over halfway in and waste of my time. You're just pushing sales!! It's the #1 not supporting resources for guiding steps. Not upfront. Should make it clear mostly sales because many of your other posts ate better.
