I thought the sounds of the picks were pretty much identical. But, I also think that's just the recording. I know from trying them out myself that the thin picks sound a lot tinier than the thicker, harder picks. I like to use a pick called "Golden Gate" which looks like tortoise shell, is thick, and has very smooth, rounded edges. I think it gives my Ukuleles a darker, richer sound. And, the attacks (the very start of the sound) are clean and crisp.
Is this the Kala KA-SSEBY-C ? Can’t wait for mine to arrive. Looks like I might skips the picks. The Dunlop Max Grip Jazz 3 carbon fiber pick was tempting. But I’m guessing picks will only make the sound more sharper, or, they will stick like an eraser like you mentioned. Nice video!
