About this video:
Wellerman, a TikTok sensation by Sea Shanty man and fellow Scot, Nathan Evans. Number 1 hit and viral song worldwide, I couldn't resist doing a unique Fingerstyle arrangement. The song itself is purely a cappella vocals with a single back beat, so I've spiced it up a little bit with some percussive techniques and tapped harmonics which was a lot of fun to put together. I had hoped to film this at a local harbour, however, due to restrictions, recording took place at home instead :)

This is so awesome! Just read the description and quick correction, this version of 'Wellerman' was re-composed by *the Longest Johns* based on the original 1860s whaling shanty from the Weller Bros. 'Soon May the Wellerman Come." So Wellerman was not made by Nathan Evans but by whalers from the Weller Brothers company in the 1860s and then rebooted by the Longest Johns as a tribute to their album 'Between Wind and Water' and Nathan just made his own take on this version which blew up on Tik Tok and got him a record deal. Solid cover though!
