From day one, a lot of fans have speculated that the identity of the Steven Universe Movie villain could be none other than the Morganite that Rhodonite served, mentioned in Off Colors. Let's revisit this theory with some new analysis on the villain's design and the role she could play in the film! During the zoo arc, sapphire was shown to have a pearl, a ruby and an amethyst.
Holly Blue Agate was under the impression that Ruby and Amethyst were Sapphire's escort (or bodyguards)
And Holly Blue want surprised at all. So it can’t be too uncommon
Yeah. It can't be that uncommon. The Ruby could have been part of en escort for the Morganite. Or one of the Ruby's she commanded in her forces. And then the Ruby and pearl met. And fell in love. Along with it possibly not being too uncommon to have multiple gems under you, there are also ways it could happen while also only having one gem in your possession

Sapphire even had three rubies when she came to Earth.
Since Moganites are used to substitute for diamonds, could Morganites be the ones who take over if a diamond's missing or shattered? This morganite could have taken over pink diamond's court and now that Steven exists, she's been sacked and she wants her power back as a diamond.
OMG I LOVE THIS THEORY!!! And what if Rose poofed her and put her in lions chest, then Steven gets the key for his b-day or something and opens the chest and lets her free but now she want revenge!

The idea of the new gem being obsessed with war and war never truly being over reminds me of Mina Loveberry
Theories:
The villain is a Morganite, she is a pink gem that loves violence and refuses to switch from War to Peace. She is a war gem that fights, and she is very highly ranked. She is a evil disgusting person and should not be redeemed.
Reality: A spinel that needs help and support, she was left to stand very still for 6,000 years. Nobody wants her to be left unredeemed. She targeted Steven due to him being the closest thing to Pink Diamond, the true villain.
Very different, I must say.

I feel like maybe because of gems that refuse change they will end up REBELLING to the new free society. So they will become the new " rebellions " and morganite will be the main antagonist because in the rebellion they will still use gem ranking and morganite would most likely be the highest of gem ranks so in that rebellion she will be considered the " diamond " of there rebellion .

What if this Morganite was left in charge of Pink Diamond’s court, or had a significant part in keeping the now diamondless gems in order?
Also, bringing up the “sweetheart morganite” you mentioned, this would make sense with what we know about mystery villain’s design. Pigtails give the impression of someone young, a sweetheart (even though she’s evil lol). White might have chosen her because someone that looked young would have reminded Yellow and Blue of Pink, but Morganite could also get sh*t done.
Following that up, maybe Morganite was demoted after Blue got really, REALLY upset about Pink, and couldn’t do her job correctly. This would make a good villain backstory

Well, Save the Light's Hessonite is "THE Hessonite," the one that came out perfect, which I imagine is a similar case to Jasper.

Yeah, Pink Diamond could create fake gem shards with ease, so these ones could be fake as well.
Pink was down and out when those got bubbled, and on Blues authority. So they had to be poofed and bubbled on Blues watch.

That’s what I think is gonna happens
What if the gems Emerald and Morganite/Red Diamond are in fact rejected diamonds.
Yet they still work hard because they still have a purpose. Even though being rejected or maybe even White thought as them as off colour, they were made to do the job they were assigned to. Just like any other gem. OR they could just be diamonds. Maybe there's more than just White, Yellow, Blue and Pink. There could be more diamonds out there and I believe that Emerald and Morganite/ Red Diamond are just the tip of the iceberg. Yet they are called by their signature gem names because that's the way they were made, Emerald could easily identify as Green Diamond (even though a lot of people expect Blue and Yellow's fusion to be Green Diamond), this again links back to them possibly being rejected or off colour.
Emerald and morganite are actually both the same thing in the gemology world, same thing with aquamarine. They're all call (insert color here) beryl
Also, i don't think they stopped colonizing planets, i just think they maybe will go for planets that don't have organic life, or any type of life.
They NEED to colonize planets with life in order to make more Gems!
@@BokanProductions No they don't, not every colony needs to have organic life on it for the gems to be made. Gems are made of resources, wich can be found in every single planet. After all, they are not organic, so there is no need for organic life.

I actually thought that this character/villam was who Rhodonite served after I watched the video where you talked about the villian being a diamond, I was kinda surprised that I managed to gather so much information from watching a theory video.

1) I like the concept of a new diamond but with the show having no hint or foreshadowing towards that being the case, it makes no actual sense in the story.

I just thought of a very cool idea what if this morganite was one of the lowest morganites but she respected the diamonds 💎, then when she had heard of pink’s shattering she tried her best to become pink diamond. Either through greed or some other intentions she rose through the ranks, but after years of hard work she got notice by the diamonds and was about to be given similar authority to a diamond but then they received news about Steven’s and gems existence. Then all the focus goes from her to Steven and his friends then when she was working on something away from home-world she would then hear that pink diamond was alive and be completely devastated.
This is so weird to come back and watch after the movie XD
i speculate that while the other three diamonds thought that pink was dead, they planted a new pink diamond filling it with hate with the soul purpose of destroying the crystal gems and it has taken 2000 and some years for it to grow since you cant just grow a diamond that are supposed to be practically perfect it took that long before it fully grew. However now they know that pink is steven and alive, they are friends with the gems so after the "new pink" forms they diamonds are like "wait a minute we dont want to kill the crystal gems anymore, we are cool, dont do this" then the new pink gets all mad and is like "You dare to stand in the way of me fulfilling my purpose, ill destroy all of you muahahahahah" and as a super weapon pink that was made to annihilate the crystal gems, and is in a rage, is now single handedly more powerful than any other gem ever created, i mean mabye even stronger than white because white would have helped make her. although besides this i also agree with your theory

Even though Rhodonite's Pearl has the same Gem placement as this new villain, this doesn't prove much because Our Pearl was able to pretend she belonged to Sapphire.

I think that the diamonds did indeed make her, but not sure what she is. Whether she is a replacement or made to be a military hand. Either way the gem they created was unstable. It would flip at a dime. Like in the trailer how the gem flipped up and down. When it's up she seems sweet, kind, and happy. When it flips down she becomes someone completely different mean, cruel, and angry. So when Steve tries to talk to her she seems to be nice at one point, but then later switches to her evil side.
Also it's kinda how Pink Diamond flipped her gem around to be someone else. Just a thought.

Here’s my little theory for if the villain is morganite-
As we know irl morganites are good replacements for diamonds more specifically pink ones SO that makes me think that the diamonds were going to (after pink got shattered) replace her with the morganite. But we’re very pained about pink so were going to wait a bit before making morganite a leader and ruling pink’s court. But after they found Steven again, they dismissed morganite and didn’t let her rule. Making morganite very angry and wanting to get revenge on Steven possibly hoping if she shattered her the diamonds would let her rule in pink’s place.
This theory does have some holes, like the fact she probably would have been name dropped by the diamonds if this was the case but I just wanted to share this little theory I had. 👍🏻

I just realized that the way the mystery villain is posed makes it look like she's going to grab the Crystal Gems, or *HARVEST* them! I really hope we get some more info on that, since it's been mentioned several times, but never explained.
But I think it would make more sense to have a non-Diamond villain for the movie as a way to separate the series, but i also really liked your video on why it could be a new Diamond or zirconia.

I like the topic of how some gyms only agreed with their diamonds simply because they seem to share the same core values but as soon as the diamonds switch their core values or actually let me say reveal their core values because of Steven some gyms become unruly and retaliate and may even start the new Rebellion. Where "The" Rose Quartz, leader of the crystal gems - was the almighty threat to homeworld, Despite being just a single Rose QUARTZ of HUNDREDS if not THOUSANDS that are seen in Pink's zoo.

It's not an exact one to one, obviously, because Rose Quartz had a reason to be a real threat, secretly being Pink Diamond and not actually one of those hundreds of Rose Quartz, who were all bubbled for seemingly no reason except being "Rose Quartz" - threatened to be Shattered despite potentially still being loyal to homeworld, for being "Rose Quartz"
"A" Morganite being "The" Morganite, is... just fine.... Though... Will all Morganites face punishment for this one's actions? That... is an important question, a hard hitting question, in the universe of Steven Universe, which may also result in the unbubbling of the other Rose Quartz Gems, for crimes they never committed.

Hey, I clicked on this video because I'm genuinely interested I'm what you have to say, and your delivery is on point, but homestly, Ive had so much happen to me this year so far, and SU has been gome ao long that its been so hard for me to remain excited about anything upcoming. I have a whole SU collection, episodes DVRd, I LOVE SU and somehow cannot mister the energy to get excited like I used to. Morganite seems to be a misguided attempt by the Diamonds to fill Pink’s role in gem society following her “shattering”, hence giving her a pearl and dominion over Pink’s former court. They made the mistake of trying to make a more militaristic gem to avoid how Pink went soft.

Theory:
The inactivity of Steven/Pink on homeworld because he would prefer living with the Crystal Gems. This makes the diamonds hold a election for PD's High Rank Court. Morgannite wins and gets granted diamond power by white. This makes her go corrupt and boom. Rest is self-explanatory.
