My jaw hit the floor when I clicked on this video! To say that is the most awesome and kick-ass model train layout I've ever seen would be an understatement! All those trains, bridges, buildings, etc. -- the detail is second to none! You must be the envy of Lionel collectors everywhere! If I had the time and resources available to me, I'd love to build a model railroad layout like that! Dirtyharry, I tip my hat to you on a job well done!
This is got to be the best model train layout I have ever seen. Last week I bought a Bachman HO Gauge Train set and for next year I would like to buy an American Flyer S Gauge Train set to run on elevated trestle above the Bachman HO Gauge Train set. I noticed that you do have your Lionel Trains running on elevated trestles.
Hello Sir, I'm sorry to bother you I just wanted to know if this layout is featured in Classic Toy Trains? By the way you have a beautiful looking layout, your Uncle must be proud of you for continuing the tradition. Thank you for your time Sincerely Allan
Awesome layout. The milk car could probably be fixed by filing down the tops of the milk cans, as this would reduce the friction between the two sides of the ramp.
i love everything about this layout but I'm a picky guy theres one thing that would be nicer for this layout and that is more space so there could be more scenery anyway a subscribed
Do you book open house tours so people can come see your layout during certain times of the year? As cool as this video was, I'll bet it would be a million times cooler to see this in-person!
Scott, what is the dimensions of your layout? Width x Length? Your basement is roughly the same size as mine and I want to build a layout at my home. Also, I noticed one side of your layout is up against the wall, how do you service different areas of the layout if it's up against the wall? Just curious. I love your layout sir!! Great job my friend!!
I like this but it is so busy that it sounds like a commotion and all the levels just look like movement instead of the creation. It needs separated , spread out, and put in perspective (taller, inanimate objects farther back and shorter, active item in the front. You have lots of fine things. Thanks for sharing.
You have just about every post-war operating accessory Lionel ever made. Well done!. How long did it take you to acquire all this stuff? Also, how do you clean and maintain it especially in the center of the layout? thanks for sharing.
Brilliant. I'm seeing so many ideas I want to try. Our 2-man club runs multiple trains on a tinplate track layout we set up on folding tables at train shows in Ontario, Canada. With three different levels, we sometimes manage to get 8 trains running simultaneously. I'd like to explore using some of the ideas I see here, both for scenic details and track elevation. Biggest issue is whether those high elevations can be made stable enough without the ability to anchor them into the tables. Thanks so much for posting this.
IT IS A SUPER BEAUTIFUL LAYOUT. IF YOU INVEST IN KATO SOUND SYSTEMS AND THE LEGACY COMMAND AND CONTROL. YOU WILL HAVE ALL THE REALIZM YOU NEED. YOUR TRAINS ARE. NOT TOYS.

DUMP THE GODDAM "MUSIC"--The trains themselves are all that's needed...or wanted
o scale
why are there dislikes
Maybe because it kinda overwhelms the senses ? Perhaps too much clutter, and too much going on ?
Nice layout

WHY DO YOU RUN THEM LIKE TOYS??????
