Absolutely beautiful, Juan, that fish would feel privileged to have died for your gorgeous painting. The whole video was beautifully done. Thank you.

Hi Juan. Jim from Madrid, Spain (a New Yorker expat living abroad and fellow Wildlife and Nature artist).
I don't usually post a lot (due to lack of time) and I wanted to say that I like your calm and "vintage" way of your vision in your channel. It is refreshing and Asturias is a wonderful area in Spain, not only for the scenery but also for the people and food (amongst many other things).
I am a Wildlife artist (young in the Art world and always learning) and I have a question for you, if you don't mind me asking...
I see that when you paint a specific animal (per say... crabs, fish, etc) you just paint the animal as is, without anything else (foreground, background, etc.), like the sardine in this video...
From your experience (which is, for sure, greater than mine), do people like it better like that, I mean, just the animal on its own? Or do they prefer the animal integrated in its medium (water, woods, farm, etc.)?
My objective is not to sell my artwork (I am in early retirement already) but I would live for people to appreciate my artwork (which I do mainly for family), or not, so I can continue growing as an Artist...
Sorry to bother you and I hope you can give me some feedback if possible.
In any case, I subscribed to your channel last year 2022 and I always watch your videos (I love them) even though I don't post regularly.
Thank you in advance for your help and... Cheers from Madrid!
    😁👍

Beautiful painting Juan. I really enjoy both inside and outside videos that you do. After all, the "Life of a Painter" has many aspects 🙂 May I ask what surface you painted the fish on? It looks like a board of some sort.
