Thank you for your useful content. It was very very well presented.I was hoping you can clarify something from me. So far HIPPA Act pertains to the collection, retention, storage, user info and dissemination of patient information but after the patient checks in and the x-ray tech identifies the patient, when the patient's in the room- after the patient has been identified, (here is the question) do you have to close the door of the exam room because the patient's in there in order to continue the testing even though nobody's talking? I can understand a doctor's visit but this is specialty test between a technician and patient undergoing applied specialty in an unventilated exam room for 2 1/2 hours. There must be a point of common comfort that is beneficial for both patient and specialty technologist while a test is being conducted. Are there any guidelines or regulation pertaining to the point where HIPPA is applied and where patient care continues.
Any insight or clarification needed can be furnished. Thank You..
