Love Socrates. The Socratic method. I feel he doesn’t get the recognition that Aristotle and Plato. I also felt something akin to Jesus and the Holy Spirit in his trial and death.

Binge watching everything by O'Connor. I like to say it's not so much that God exists as that God is existence itself. Is that wrong of me?

Personally I like to think about that that way too. When I was a child, and read those simple books about physics and stuff (no quantum physics, just basic subatomic particles), I couldn't get it - right, there are some elementary particles or maybe something even smaller, but even the smallest things need to have some basis of existence, right? It didn't make sense. When I was older, I thought for a while that even when it didn't appear so, maybe some clever simple theory of everything would answer that. I only later realized that no string theory and no physics can do that, God is the framework of existence of everything (if I can say that) with other basic stuff that God is not in the universe, what being the Creator means. I've always believed in God but nobody explained it to me deeper.

I was looking forward to letting my husband watch this video. However, Daniel's voice trails off as he walks away from the camera, and it is more difficult to see him and hear what he is saying.

ive a question perhaps its a stupid one, but why does it matter that there is a god, when the majority of people will not see heaven. If we are to believe what it says in the bible from the old to the new testament.

I believe that most *will* see Heaven (albeit with quite a stay in Purgatory)

@@DSDOConnor hope so. Some saints appear to have the holiness needed to enter it, I dont see how most can enter heaven without it. it will be a long stay by the sounds of it.

Faustina said most of the people she saw in hell didn't believe there was a God. There's a pretty good reason right there.

@@nightshift4587 everyone that is in hell is there because they chose to be there over being with God forever. Pride and final impenitence is why people are in hell. If you really want to know about the truth and why things are the way they are I highly recommend the youtube videos by CS Lewis doodles on mere christianity.

@@DSDOConnor Daniel the question I’m going to ask has nothing to do with the video that you’ve put out, but my son is a functioning, autistic young man who finds superheroes and fantasy his form of entertainment. He loves God. He will pray the rosary every day and the divine mercy my question is he likes lord of the rings he will not watch Harry Potter, which is good however, in my estimation, lord of the rings is no different than Harry Potter, because there’s magic in it can you explain to me which one of us is correct I feel, lord of the rings is no different than Harry Potter and he said because J.R.R. Tolkien is Catholic. This makes the difference.🤷‍♀️ love your podcasts. Hes teaching a class, it's much easier to pay attention to a teacher if they are engaged and moving and not just standing in place talking.
