Just stopping by to say this review is absolutely incredible in quality and depth. You absolutely crushed it and I'm excited to check out your other videos!
Just got my Cube last Friday. It is FANTASTIC! I feel like the 1:1 screen is a prime example of a "Jack of all trades, master of none", and as someone who doesn't have 1 specific system they really want to target, it is pretty much exactly what I wanted. The only aspect ratio the screen doesn't handle well is 16:9 (PSP and Vita primarily), which unfortunately suffers pretty bad due to the overall screen size. I am not typically one to be bothered by letter boxing, but 16:9 on a 1:1, 4" display is just VERY small. Fortunately neither of those systems have many games in their library that really interest me, and this thing rocks for anything 4:3 or taller. Bonus points for DS/3DS as this is the only system with a touch screen that can functionally display the dual screens in the correct orientation and still provide a reasonable amount of real estate for both screens. The build quality is really solid, the screen is beautiful, the ergonomics are top notch. Really just can't say enough good things about this system. My one gripe is actually the speakers. They do get loud, and they don't clip at any reasonable volume, but they just sound so flaccid and lack any kind of depth. Everything is muddy and I feel a bit tinny. There may be some way to tune them with an EQ but I haven't messed with that yet. Otherwise, I feel like someone at Anbernic literally built this system for me and me specifically lol.
@@KeiRetroGamingwill Final Fantasy tactics run well on it? If so then that :) I can see Gamecube & DS getting the most play. Not so much the PSP due to the screen - which is why I bought my it. Never used anything like this in my 39 years of gaming.
Tactics should probably run fine. If you feel like sharing, let me know whatcha think of it when it arrives. I still remember my first emulation based handheld. Such a cool way to take all these childhood favourites on the go.
@@KeiRetroGaming I'm thinking of getting a Vita or PSP for those games. I heard PSP games look crap on the vita, has this been fixed by someone yet? Or should I just get a new handheld for this?
Another banger of a review! As many others have said, your video's are insanely high quality lol. I'm gonna skip this device though, got enough handhelds lol. I would instantly buy this if it had a 3:2 screen, I think if they did that they'd have a real winner.
you should check out the rg556 its an anbernic device that has the same internals as the cube but a beautiful oled screen. The transparent blue is much nicer since the black gets smudging
Got one on the way actually. Still got a bit of a video queue to catch up on, but it's definitely something I'll be taking a look at soon. Can't wait to check out that amazing screen!
I just released an update to Beacon with better support for devices like these, it shows more of the covers.
Thanks for the amazing update 😎
Thank you so much for your work!

Use the white foam when you have to open the device up. I dont know why nobody uses them for that, not one YT video has done it.
Love it! Thanks kei

This with the second screen app lets me use it full screen while casting. Really living in the future these days
Your videos are insanely high quality. It's crazy how you only have 6k subs
Thank you 👍🏼
Can you make the DS games single display and swap between the screens like on the vertical hand helds?
In your panel tests, did you turn off shaders for the rg35xxsp? Shaders are on on all systems. When I turn it off, the screen gets brighter.
Can you make a video getting PokeMMO working on the RGCube?
A tip for anbernic : never make a black model unless it's transparent.
