- Can You INSTA-KILL Vortex? BTD6 / Bloons TD 6 - with the new boss being released, I gave it a go in ranked mode to see how low I can get and to see how the strategy differs between Bloonarius & Lych! Needless to say, it was a fair bit different gameplay and difficulty wise...

I'm thinking that maybe combining first strikes with geraldo's refreshing potions would improve tier 4 & 5?
The only problem is ben is better for farming than geraldo early game

But then the first tier would be a bit slower and maybe you won't even afford first strikes without selling all eco which would be detrimental for tier 2

Facts about Brokaldo:
If you buy primary training before the super cape it will affects new SM.
Edit: The buffs of the village and Sun God will remain on the new SM after selling.

Idk about this idea, but if you could get Geraldo's potion by round 40, you could co with only 2 first strikes, thus not having to farm as much. This also applies to later boss stages allowing you to triple the amount of first strike abilities you can use.

@@vbag42 The Rejuv Potion, which resets all ability cooldowns when used.
I stopped doing ranked bosses a while back because it was too stressful for me. I still think optimized runs are fun to watch but I'm definitely not going for it.
I do ranked, not because of the timer but because you get trophies. I just play it like it's a normal boss.

The fact that vortex can push back each skull makes it even harder (if use perma spike)
Regardless he clears spikes around him everytime he hits a skull.
YES, I am really glad that Ben still makes more money than Geraldo.
I told people that I still prefer Ben over Geraldo, since his money making method is guaranteed to boost your finance right at the spot (you get extra cash after every single round), he can massively boost banks (they will have paid for themselves after 13 rounds), his two powers make quite a few rounds pretty easy, and because he is just THE must-have for Half Cash Mode.
Meanwhile Geraldo's Quincy NFT usually just lured me into desperately saving up cash and losing lives due to lack of defenses, and once I did get it, I couldn't know when to sell it. I don't know what items to use when where and why, since it's hard to for me to plan with the fact that they are limited and so on.
People gave me looks for still wanting to use Ben instead of the new overpowered hero like how everyone else was.
The items are very diverse and challanging to some players, but have huge pay offs when used correctly. Also the nft only starts raising in value after geraldo is placed meaning he can be bought round 4 or 5 and you can instantly buy the nft. However it is good to see that benjamin is still better at making money considering that's his entire gimmick. I think its also stupid that people call geraldo op. He's not, but he does feel a lot more engagable than other drop and forget heros.
I find Geraldo is so much less restarting rounds to avoid a penalty and i can still get 40k+ by round 40. Good for a casual-ranked.
I usualy use free dart then get Geraldo whenever I have enough to also get quincy nft(it doesn't increase value when he isn't placed). After round 40 I sell, because it only increases 5 percent, instead of the 10 percent pre round 40. With that money I get a brf, and a 420 btw is around 10. Rounds to pay itself back. Aka like 10% of the money u spent, matching quincy nft, but beating it after r40
the 45 sec times all use geraldo, his rejuv potion is op
I still cant get over the fact that geraldos super maelstrom is just 540
tip : for being greedy whit vgtsg u can place tech terror just a little bit out of range and then put a village for boot temple range , then upgrade to anti bloon and sell village so u get discount and dont sac anti bloon :)

I think it would have been a really good idea to sell the first strikes for a f(l)avored trade army after Tier 4 Vortex to create pops for your boat paragon degree and also give you loads more cash to work with. Remember that each point of cash generated is 4 pops. In all the rounds leading up to the last tier, you could have generated about ~1.5 million pops for the boat paragon that way.

Depending on how much damage first strike does you could use Geraldo to refresh their ability twice to kill t4 faster/instantly
Wouldn't Geraldo ability reset and farm boosting make for better saves in the late game? Early game might be a few seconds longer but still
The money made early game scales exponentially with the rest of the run. Its a pretty big diff

@@derinvoker6482 what's wrong, they're correct. let's say you get 1k more compared to Geraldo earlygame, that means one more farm compared to the usual and that gives more money for more farms. 10k earlygame is huge, 10k lategame is nothing.

Buy Geraldo, buy levels until ability reset potion, reset and use money generating abilities, optionaly buy more Geraldo levels to get more ability reset pots, sell Geraldo. Repeat
If this works I'm thinking the time you loose @round 40 and maybe 60 can be won back at higher levels with infinite money. With infinite money one can spam sub and reset abilities for sub leading to huge time save late game
you can get an 11 farm monkey opolisis in the triangle to the right of the top water spot. Its also in range of the water so you can flavour trade sell it
Vortex is easy to beat but extremely hard to get a good time on
I cant even beat the elite one. Easily beat the normal one and got to 3 star for the elite one. I’m fine with that given that I just started playing again 2 weeks ago and I’m not a pc gamer so I’m really slow and re..
@@GodfreyFirstEldenLord i recommend ninja and boat paragon, since they can attack even when vortex isn't in range, meaning it doesn't get stunned if you place them in a corner but you'll still get pops.

jk, I recommend watching some videos on how to farm good on bosses, most strategies are limited more by money than by skill

@@GodfreyFirstEldenLord I had trouble too. I farmed sorta late (let vortex get like halfway thru the track) then got a like degree 20 dart paragon and easily beat it.
Would Geraldos ability cool down reset item from his shop allow you a quicker time in 4 and 5 star boss?

ok so did you know that if you put the vilage in the top right triangle you can put 13 farms in range of the monkeyopolis

It would be impossible to get 4 first strikes for round 40, but if you used geraldo you could use rejuv potion to reset all your first strike abilities, effectively doubling their damage on the later tiers (first three tiers it is not necessary obviously)

I just created a strategy and i think it's pretty good!
You should give it a try:
Tack
Sub
Heli
Tack start into gwen or any hero in particular. Gwen must be placed on r3 so that you have her cocktail until r5.
Then an ROF on r9 if the opponent sends zebras. The ROF should be able to defend any BLOON rush, even purples, given that the blade shooter pops the purple layer.
Also sub on r9 immediately upgraded into 3-0-0. Then, i prefer spaced ecoing with leads so that you can afford reactor. This upgrade for the reactor is really optional, you can get it after even two or three rounds. Then ecoing with yellows as usual until r20 with an overdrive. Immediately start farming with heli along with reasonable eco almost about 2200. I like to keep a heli on standby for the shove and keep farming until I have atleast 5 heli farms. You can go over that amount if you want but what I like to do is that start preparing defenses for DDTS and other possible rushes. Also another shove will be really helpful. Getting two subs on standby for the first strike is valuable as you should expect a rush. even getting ap darts and sub commander is valuable.

I wonder if GZ nuking is viable for late phasrs, it might deal too less damage but you can get a lot of them on this map
The amount you could buy on this map still wouldn't be viable because of how low the damage on GZ is; considering the late phases' HP are in the millions

what you could do Isab is use Geraldo so you have the ability cooldown reset then you wouldnt need as much money and it would be better early game!
If you discount monkey town first then sell the discount village you actually money because you spend like 2000 something and it alone reduces the price to 8.5k + the tiers 1,2. So you save money.

How do you tell the paragon level before it shows???
there is like one frame of the upgrade menu on the right and that one frame shows the paragon degree and stuff, so isab can see it fast enough to tell what degree it is
I don't think u can see it on RUclips but on his screen u can see it for a couple frames

I saw a video where anyone spam spike storms and then spam First strikes and while the vortex do this blow back thing he get so much damage from the Spikes that it dies or at least gets to the other skull.. (can't really remember)
What does the Penalty mean? I don't play boss events since I find them rather unfun
So in ranked mode after the last bloon comes there is a timer for penalties so you can’t stall rounds to get infinite cash abilities. The penalty time is added to your ranked time at the end

How does Isab always know the paragon lvl 1/2 a second before it’s shown?
There are a COUPLE frames right when you buy it where the UI changes. It changes to the Paragon’s level. So he’s looking int he exact spot the level shows up in and has very fast eyes

@@iamdead5699 Maybe the frame rate is lost when uploaded to RUclips. Does the HD resolution have better frame rate? Does ISAB's recording software capture the frame rate?

How does he tell what degree a paragon is before the number comes up in the animation?
It pops up for a split second on the side panel before it disappears, use < and > while paused to go frame by frame so you can see it.

I feel like resetting the first strikes with geraldo would save more time on the later tiers than you lose from eco
you need ben for the money for the early rounds though, as you saw, with ben ISAB barely could get the 4 First Strikes needed, and that was with very optimized farming

Unfortunately no, the first thing I did fighting the boss was a Striker Jones/Elim strat. They do a shit ton of damage in the early game, but I was SHOCKED when I found the ability is blocked by the shield :( definitely worth trying if you want a casual game but definitely not worth it if you're going for time

Not sure if you're aware of this, but your audio is slightly ahead of your video. An example would be at 16:12 when you're getting a paragon.
not ahead, there are a few frames where it shows the degree as soon as you buy the paragon

when you transform into a paragon the menu will show the degree in like 1 frame

He actually sounds disappointed with 18th best in the world. I'm over here still trying to unlock every 5th tier tower upgrade and would probably lose doing the regular vortex.

if you place him at fisrt level you only need 30 k to make him level 11
and if you place him at raund 10 you only need to give extra 1200 money for making 11 so you can buy easily Quincy figure

Level 11 at round 40 is way more expensive I believe.
It’s a weird strat but I go for market place usually 20 and sell on round 60 and then sell them all and by a bunch of brfs and then make a monkeyopolis and then just do whatever you want from there usually paragons. .(edit) THIS STRAT IS NOT FOR RANKED

A real BTD6 legend Chom Chom shower how you can farm (while still instakilling Vortex) up to 2 million dollars by round 80. He did it by boatfarming directly after tier 1.
