That 45-0 beatdown of Tampa proved the only reason Tampa won was because Gruden. It’s essentially the same two teams minus a handful of free agents for both teams(core players on both teams of Super Bowl XXXVII were there for Tampa and Oakland) and the Raiders beat them 45-0. If they had Gruden and ran it 40-60 times in Super Bowl XXXVII, the outcome would have been very similar to the 99 game the Raiders easily won 45-0. The look on Sapp and Lynch showed they knew they were just throttled. They never looked like that, especially Sapp.

#14 is available various places online with the commercials and everything. A real piece of nostalgia. It's the game that made me a Raider fan. The games I saw before seemed like just a bunch of guys falling down but this game was long passes to the end zone and big plays. The comeback story of Jim Plunkett, Rod Martin the 12th round pick, Matuszak mugging for the camera, Kenny King getting carries instead of sitting behind Earl Campbell. Tom Flores the rock of stability in the swirling sea of insanity that was The Glory Era Raiders. And of course, the mad genius who put it all together looking like an enigma in the luxury box. It was a great time to be a fan of the Mighty Silver and Black.

That's a strech but at least they are both quarterbacks and both played for the Raiders. I suppose your not including plunkett's journey and being a 1st overall bust. Then yeah look a like wearing the same uniform and throwing a football.😂 good to have hope can't be mad at that.

My wish for 2024 is we make a few "statement" games and pour it on! Don't let off the gas and coast in like Gruden liked to do!
Keep pushing for that last score even if we're ahead by a mile! If that isn't "cool" by NFL/Goodell... EVEN BETTER!!!!

To be fair though Al Davis has to be the best cheater for the Raiders. If you consider he started as a college scout, then an assistant coach, becomes head coach, AFL commissioner, returns as one of three general partner, only owned 10% and yet some how got full ownership. I can't think of a single team owner that wasn't rich or bought their way into ownership. He definitely had to cheat someone or stole something. Lol
