    Another fantastic design for events, and doing it all with the bone structure of a gorgeous movie star! It is thunderstorming and the apartment building is under construction here but I will be getting to work on new material. 4K came through; looks awesome!

      +Balloon Sage Thank you :) The video was suppose to upload in 4k, but it didn't work, trial and error, lol. I think I finally may have figured it out for better quality, new computer is driving me bonkers :)

    Do you tie to balloon weight at the end after wrapping it around or do you just wrap it around the balloons?

    • @askmeforaballoon
      @askmeforaballoon  8 лет назад

      You can add the weight after you do the first set of balloons. Can also be added in the end instead.

    For the 9" quads and linkoloon balloons did you use 12" balloons filled with 9 inches of air? Also, if I wanted this to be a little larger in scale would it be possible to add a few quads to the columns and a few more to the arch? or would the arch end up sinking with the weight?

    • @askmeforaballoon
      @askmeforaballoon  8 лет назад

      Yes I did :) I think it would be ok if you added extra quads to the sides and extra links. If it doesn't work you can remove a few links :)

    any substitute for the quick link balloons? is there anyway to blow a normal balloon in that way? u don't get such balloons where I stay UC.... please answer soon!!! i need to make this arch on Saturday (30th)!!! waiting!

    Hi Tanya, could you please tell me how many pumps for a 9 inch balloon I've been doing 27 is that right, or have you got a video showing how many pumps for 11 inch to 2 inch balloons like a scale I've been looking but can't find anything,because I have a dual pump and been counting on the up and down
    Thank you
    Dina

    • @askmeforaballoon
      @askmeforaballoon  7 лет назад

      Hi Dina,
      I think my old pump had a crack, so it was a little off :) 24 pumps should be 9", unless the pump I'm using now is cracked, lol! With a dual you would count on the up and down.
      Thanks
      Tanya

    hi! what's the material you use for the balloon sizer?

    • @askmeforaballoon
      @askmeforaballoon  8 лет назад

      +Terrell Nelson I purchased the balloon sizer from alibaba.com I believe. I often use it to hold my curling ribbon too :) If you don't have a balloon sizer and you use a hand pump, you can count your pumps to know the size, for example 9" would be approx 36 pumps.

    • @terrellnelson5964
      @terrellnelson5964 8 лет назад

      awesome! thanks so much, is that the only place that it could be purchased from or can i buy something like this at home depot or lowes, etc....?
      thanks for your response, i really appreciate that. and for opening my eyes that i can do an arch or column without a stand! never knew that until now. (always learning, always growing!! thank you!!!

    Are these balloons inflated by helium or by a handheld pump?

    • @askmeforaballoon
      @askmeforaballoon  9 лет назад

      +Shannon McKenzie Inflated with air. I used an electric inflator, can use a hand pump too, just takes longer :) I was there before I got an electric one :)

    • @smckenzie723
      @smckenzie723 9 лет назад +2

      +Ask Me For A Balloon Okay thanks. Do you use a lot of stands for your columns or just sand weights for your events?

    • @askmeforaballoon
      @askmeforaballoon  9 лет назад

      Shannon McKenzie You're welcome. It's a mixture of both, maybe more sand weight ones :) It's better if you can use the sand weight, because then you don't have to go back to pick up the stands if you are doing this for a customer. Some columns are much better on a stand, depending on the size of the balloons. I have a customer who has ordered 3 times in the past 8 months, each time her order was columns with sand weights, she is calling again for grad and prom :)

  • @SS-sr6xg
    @SS-sr6xg 7 лет назад +1

    I just want to make sure I understand you correctly, I'm using 11" or 12" balloons with 9" of air, 5" balloons with 4" of air, but I don't know what size balloon you are using for 6" of air. I have never made one of these and am making this harder than what it probably is! Thanks!

    • @askmeforaballoon
      @askmeforaballoon  7 лет назад

      Yes you are correct. For the 6" it would be 11" or 12". I say 11" or 12" because some brands make 12" instead of 11". Usually if buying balloons from the dollar store they are 12".

    • @SS-sr6xg
      @SS-sr6xg 7 лет назад

      I know you said this is for indoor, but I was wondering if I purchased the columns and added the arch do you think it would still be too windy? Thanks for getting back to me!

    • @askmeforaballoon
      @askmeforaballoon  7 лет назад

      I'm sorry I didn't see this reply. I don't think it would work outside. Maybe if you have heavy stands. The links will go back and forth in the wind.

    • @askmeforaballoon
      @askmeforaballoon  8 лет назад

      +Jennifer Sanchez You can create this without the links, just keep adding the quads until you reach the size you would like. Also make sure you have good size weights added to keep it standing up. I also have another video for a spiral arch without a stand ruclips.net/video/Jh-hPmLm5KU/видео.html

      Ok one last question am i still able to use the linkaloon balloons on top for outdoors or do i need a metal arch?

    • @askmeforaballoon
      @askmeforaballoon  8 лет назад

      This does happen sometimes. What brand of balloons are you using?

      I don't know what the brand was, but I purchased them from Party City. I plan to order from balloons.com next time, but wasn't sure if i would have the same results with the deflating. I'm wondering if the humidity had a part to play or should I not blow the balloons up a day early? Any advice you can give will be appreciated.

      Try balloons.online Sempertex balloons are awesome and I don't think the same thing will happen if you use Sempertex. Humidity is not good for balloons. When I am making videos outside and it's humid the balloons look terrible. There is a balloon shine that we can use to keep the balloons looking nice, not sure how long it lasts.

    Loving your videos! Quick question: how much time before an event would you suggest to start building a balloon arch?

      Thank you so much Sandra :) I don't have enough links in stock right now, will do when I get them. I have never created one before, it may require helium.
