This is my new favorite channel. Keep these videos coming! YES!!! Please do the WHOLE record - in track listing order! Im asking a lot here but if you can please explain the stories behind the songs!
I was at your guys' debut show at the El Rey. When you played Slither for the first time, I was blown away by the tempo changes. It had so many parts and Slash had like 3 solo breaks. The studio version was more radio friendly than what I remember hearing live. They cut back on the guitar solos. After the show, I got to meet Ang Lee, Slash, and Duff. I still have the shirt I got from the concert.
That's so rad! I remember those old versions of Slither. We had like 7 or 8 versions over a year. It's the one song that we change the arrangements on several times before it even had vocals. So glad you got to make it to that first show!
This is so cool, i have recently been making guitar patches for this song, and this is a hidden gem 🤟 Dave please make more vidoes it would be amazing to know what other gear you used in Velvet. What speakers in your cabs, amp settings ect 🤟 Thanks bro
Selfishly Davo, I’d like your videos to be a bit longer. But hey, whatcha gonna do? Anyway, those Ravelles… I stupidly passed up on one of those on EBay years ago, it was under £400 and I didn’t get it. They’re like chickens teeth now. I’d love one.

Always loved those little noise details that you created with the DL4. Cool to know that’s what was used 🔥Such a versatile pedal.
Glad you like it and thanx!!

It's been so long, I couldn't tell you the amp settings but I DO know that i used a 4X14 Bogner cab with 25watt Greenbacks (Celestion).
Thank you Dave 🤟
