I’ve been seeing these for a year or two along with diamondback bags. I run leather occidental bags. 5 bag framers on my harness and 7 bag framers just as a set of normal bags. Both badger and diamondback have both impressed me. Only worry would be fabric bags and bridge construction don’t generally mix. I’ve been watching akribus leather for a while also. There setups are nice and customizable from the guy whom actually makes them
@@unscriptedwithantonio we end up tieing our own bar. Doing rehab work….. I don’t generally do rehab work….. that god! But I’m with you there! The wife is up my ass about going to the union so may still get to scrap the leather bags

@@unscriptedwithantonio diamondback and badger seem to play really well together. A lot of the DB accessories are well thought out and only add versatility to my rig.
Nice review man! If you ever have trouble fitting your hammer in the sleeve, put some electrical tape on the bottom and it should slide in better. I have the diamondbacks which are very similar
Thank you for the advice. I'm going to try that out. I've been using hockey tape. But that might be making the handle tougher to get out. Thank you for watching.
I like these bags? Have you liked them since you got them ? Do they seem to help with all you different jobs and how bout the work day carrying them around ?
Now I'm going to be honest. The sleeve is pretty tight. I have hockey tape on my hammer. So it doesn't slide in and out as easy as a leather holster. It's seems like the holder should be a little bit bigger. But I'm still enjoying it. And I haven't knocked my knees once.
@retardedroofer3123 i just bought a wood handle to see if there was a difference. I just think the sleeve should be wider. But would that cause the hammer to fall out easier. I'm not sure.
Thanks for the review Antonio, I have one in the cart online but I wanted a better look at them 1st. Plus I see you are man of taste with the Makita tools.
@@unscriptedwithantonio I have an older set of Occidentals, I just ordered the Badger set, thanks. Not sure if you have one, but I am in love with the cordless miter saws, never used a smoother operating miter saw.
@@unscriptedwithantonio When weighed down with tools and hardware they hurt my hips, belt it difficult to adjust, tape pouch is way too small I had to remove the clip from the tape so I wouldn't have to struggle with it. I use Akibus full leather bags. They are awesome. I wear them on a harness but when I did wear the belt it was comfortable. Nice and light weight. Feels durable. All a lady could ask for!
I like them. The hammer holder isn't as smooth as I would like. But people say I should use electrical tape to make it easier. I love all the compartments.
@@unscriptedwithantonio he does fantastic work, he was so busy he got occidental leather to start making their in stock bags. He does totally custom bags as well.
When you put your right leg down the hammer wants to come out and you physically have to stop it from coming out of the holster lol that hammer holster is not at the correct angle like it is on the diamondback set.
Anyone got any experience with these bags and nail guns. The hook that they’ve got there looks like the nail gun would swing around and hit your leg when walking

I think they are holding up pretty well. I'm just giving them a fair shake. They are on the pricey side. But they are head and shoulder better than anything you will find at Home Depot or Lowes.
Well, as with anything else, it all depends on how you take care of em. I've had the same CLC bags for about 15 years and still going. They definitely aren't pretty at this point, but they still function. I say, don't knock em til you try em.

If by chance you have the oppurtunity, Akribis leather from BC, canada makes premium leather belts with lots of customability!
I might have to check them out. I'm always searching for the perfect tool bags.
I've been using the framer set this winter and love them. Loaded up my bags weigh 12 lbs. My occidentals weigh 7 empty!
Does your nail gun hit your leg when you have it hooked on your bag?
@errorscore2858 nope, they have been working just fine.
@errorscore2858 I use a diamondback gun hook, it's high on my belt but better than the loop on the bag
I might have to check it out. The loop works fine for me right now.

That other loop on the belt suppose to be for stabilia torpedo I guess
I'm not sure about that chief. It seems like it would fall out. I prefer the actual pouch for my stabilia if I have a choice.
Is the hammer holster detachable?
It's stitched in.

Tbh. I've been working nights. I haven't gotten a chance to take them out in the wild yet.

They all stick to the sleeve unless you have a wood handle. Diamondback is also the same. It’s stupid

These bags just look so massive. So I went with diamondback. The options for tool layout is just way better at diamondback

I was looking at Badger but after watching your fatlip videos I chose occidental.
It all depends on what you need. The fat lip bag are more versatile, but the badgers are way lighter. The badger bag seems better for finish work.
Hey man random question but what knee pads are those?
They are the Sellstrom-S96110-Knee-Ultra-Flex
My problem with velcro is it gets clogged up with sawdust and doesn't work properly after a while
i agree. once Velcro gets clogged up. They are pretty much useless. The badger bags are holding up pretty good. But only time will tell.
What knee pads are you using? I’ve been using the tough built one that are similar but your look less clunky. Would you recommend them?
I use the sellstrom ultra flex. They look pretty clunky, but they work really well. And they don't use velcro. I definitely recommend them.
Right on Antonio, nice review, peace
Thank you sir! I appreciate you.
If you send your bags to badger the owner Joel, will put In handles on the top of the belt for you.

Your Stiletto will slip easier on the hammer holster if you put some electric tape on the tip of the handle.
I have hockey tape on it for grip. But I'm going to try it.
How are you getting them for $390? They went up to $500 minimum practically now
