Well-handled Chris! It was a little unfortunate that some of the veterans seemed a bit heavy-handed on some of the plays. I understand that they see the different worlds that can take place and they are solving the game, but sometimes that takes away from the experience and agency of a new player. (I had this happen before in Baldur's Gate 3, veteran player ran ahead and did their own thing, newer players were trying to catch up and figure out the mechanics of the game and storyline) It was great when questions were answered with like the technicalities of certain roles or functions of the app etc. However, when it comes down to some of the criticisms of certain plays or strategies, it's a little disappointing. I know I'm just a youtube commenter, but just wanted to say my piece. Anyway, I love watching the vods and I hope it continues on! Great work!

I think this makes the perfect case that introducing new players is easiest when ALL players are new rather than a mix. Otherwise the first play is always more of a “test game” rather than a true full real game.

this one was a little hard to watch. too often it felt that Veteran players were talking out of turn, answering questions you intended to answer, or directing players that did not ask for directions. if this type of group plays again, it might be worth considering the Fabled Buddhist, with maybe a few alterations for a streamed app game, like a changed timer, or moving the silenced period to perhaps after the gong sounds, but whatever it may be, things as they played out did feel extremely off

I think a new player game with 13 players is a bit cumbersome for the newbies to track, well mainly on the good side. I think they did spectacularly well, and I do agree that some of the veterans were cross talking a lot and not encouraging the new players to share their relevant info to build a world together in town
I also think Rob played as 4th evil with him pushing hard on Ghastly and protecting Patrick, and then sowing chaos which didn't help good haha. Patrick claimed Saint, slipped and said it was ok for himself to die and that the game would go on, and did a good job recovering from that -- even bamboozling Rob lol.
