I checked the Lunch Package on whitepearlcruise.com and it takes up around 2 hours of your time.
If you are already in Gokarna by morning then you can visit the Gokarna Temple or chill at Kudle Beach. Alternatively, you can also take the surfing course on Main Beach.
Post the cruise lunch, you can do the Gokarna Beach trek covering all the beaches in Gokarna or visit outstation spots like Vibhoothi Falls and Yana Rock Formations.

how about gokarna cross road to kudley beach? i am traveling from pune and i’ll be reaching gokarna at 4:30am
what are the travel options available early morning??
Early morning at 4:30 am, only autos available at the station. They will charge a bomb, so make sure to negotiate maximum.
Hi. Please suggest other options for transport. What do we do if bike rentals is not an option for us? Are there options for renting self drive cars?
Yes, you will find those as well. We didn't explore that during our trip and do not have a recommendation per se. A simple google search might be a better way to go about it.

Hi Akshata, I did have a look on Google Maps for the same and can see a few properties offering rooms near the temple. You can go through the photos submitted on Google Maps and check if these places are suitable for you. Hope this helps!
What about the hosteller Gokarna? do you recommend it?
Yes, definitely we recommended! Although we personally have not stayed there. But we have stayed in a lot of other Hosteller properties across India and we have never been disappointed and the Gokarna campus is really amazing too.
Can we go to jog falls and murdeshwar with bike rentals? Will they allow to go that long on scooty? Please answer

We know people who have been to Murudeshwar on a 2-wheeler, but not sure about Jog Falls. However, prefer a bike over a scooty because it will be less tiring.

The cost of surfing for us was 2000 bucks for a basic 1.5-2 hours session, back in 2018. You can call Cocopelli Surf School for recent rates though. They also have a guesthouse at the Gokarna Main Beach. So should serve both the purposes I hope. You can also check Poornima Beach Home here.

Almost all beach shacks and properties are couple friendly. Check with the reception once before booking to make sure.

Hey Bhumika, we haven’t visited Gokarna in recent times and I can see a lot of new properties listed on Google Maps right now. So without having personally seen or stayed there, it seems unfair to recommend you any properties. So my recs are limited to the ones I have mentioned in the video.
But I can definitely leave you with some tips -
- Hover over Kudle Beach on Google Maps and you will be able to see plenty of listings
- go through the photos (especially the ones uploaded by others) and reviews, if there are contact details available, contact and get the price and availability details. You can also get a more real picture of this by searching the property’s name directly on RUclips or Google, chances are that someone must have reviewed it
- Keep 2-3 such options in hand and pay them only after checking these places out in person - to the extent possible.
I wish had specific suggestions, but hope this helps for now. If you do come across a good property, please drop the names here, it would be helpful to others!

Like day 1 which places to see ...like this
Day 1 -
Arrive and check in property by noon
Have lunch and enjoy Kudle beach/ Om beach
Chill, relax, try water sports and enjoy the cafes and evening flea market on Kudle beach
Day 2 -
Go for the Beach trek from Kudle beach to Paradise beach
Enjoy all beaches through out the day. Keep more time for Half moon beach and Paradise beach.
Either Camp at Half moon or Paradise beach or return to your stay by ferry.
Day 3 - Go to Vibhooti falls and Yana caves early morning, you can also visit Netrani island and Mirjan fort if time permits.
Return to your destination directly from your last stop.

Not visible in September. You have chances of spotting this on Nirvana beach in December-Jan mostly.

I'm living near gokarna u don't have to pay 300 for auto they are making u fool for 10km journey u should pay 100to150 maximum they are taking advantage of outside visitors
That is true! They are up for bargain and some times they agree for 150 but you need to bargain strongly 😂
And also, I believe the local bus from the main road (about 900 metres from station gate) takes you to Gokarna bus stand for just 10-15 Rs!
These buses are at an interval of 30 mins or so during the day time. From around 7 am to 7 pm
Not very frequent at night!
So that’s a good budget option too 😄

If you want a direct connection, you will get a KSRTC bus from Hosapete to Gokarna. There might be some private options as well.
If you are looking for a train, then there is no direct connection to Gokarna Road Station from Hosapete, but you can look for trains going to major stations like Madgaon, from which you can take a local intercity train to Gokarna.

Yes, you can absolutely go to Gokarna. You can avoid the beach trek though. Almost all these beaches are accessible by road as well.

To the best of our knowledge, Netrani Island is the only good place for Scuba near Gokarna. We haven’t heard of any other place near Gokarna yet.

Gokarna is a small town. The main bus stand is walking distance (less than 1Km from main beach. )
All other beaches are few km away and can be walked to or taken an auto or vehicle to.

You can definitely visit Gokarna in end of june. However yes, the beaches will start closing as the sea gets very rough in monsoon and you won’t be able to go in the water.
It will be really peaceful because very less tourists and all greenery around but the ocean will be good to enjoy from afar!

It will have actually started to rain a little bit. The weather will be cloudy and humid.

Hey Nidhi, not 100% sure about it, have only travelled to Gokarna through buses and trains, that too on night journeys.
Roads seemed fine while travelling in a bus though! Do let us know if you get a better idea about it, it would definitely help other travellers!

Daily intercity sitting trains are available from Goa (Madgaon) to Gokarna (Gokarna Road), but you will have to enquire about it at the railway stations incase you don’t find it everywhere online. It will be around 3 hours journey.

Unfortunately we have never done Gokarna in Monsoons, but if you are a beach lover, its not the best time to be in Gokarna. You can visit the temples, enjoy your stay and cover some nearby spots as well (except waterfalls - risky).

Best time visit the beaches would be in winter months, and if you wanna see the green moss walls of Mirjan Fort, visit after monsoons have ended!

Hi, there are several lodges and guesthouses on the main temple road. You can also find a few places to stay near the bus station. All of these are basic economic stays and you can check if they would be suitable to you or not, on google maps. The user submitted photos help us in judging the properties before we visit, hope this helps you as well!

No options were available the last time we checked. Not sure if someone has popped up.
Check with your property, they will have the best updates
Do we get good wifi in the hostel to WFH?
It will depend on which hostel you are planning to work from. Halfway Home had a decent connection when we went in 2020, in the restaurant area. Given the staycation demands, most properties must have upgraded their plans, but do check with them once before booking.

Do u get buses from near Gokarna station to Gokarna town?
Yes you do.
Local buses can be found going to and fro to the town from railway station almost at 15-30 min intervals.
Starting around 7am onwards
However you need to walk about 1-1.5 km to reach main road from railway station entrance to catch the bus.
Can we get two wheeler there for local travel?
Hi, there are plenty of vendors who provide a two-wheeler on rent in Gokarna.
The one we used was Aparajitha Bike Rental, which is right opposite of one of the gates of the bus stop.

Is scuba diving nice in Gokarna ? Or is it the same muddy water where you can barely see anything ?
Hi Sonakshi, we haven’t personally experienced Scuba in Gokarna (Netrani Island) but from what we have seen and the feedback we have gotten is that water is blue, not muddy as such, but visibility too is not 100% nice. So to put it in a perspective, it may not be as great as Andamans, but the experience is definitely worth it for beginners or first time divers!
For more clarity, I would recommend you to see some Scuba Diving in Netrani videos and get an idea before booking.

You can expect a basic stay on beach starting at around Rs.1000-1500 a day, and it can accomodate 2 people.

For family which one is best .... Near beach
For families visit the Main Gokarna Beach near the temple and the Om Beach. They are best
Can all these places be covered with four wheeler?
Mostly all beaches will have hike involved. Kudle, Om beach and main beaches have parkings available. From where a short hike is needed to enter the beach. Vibhooti falls, Yana caves etc can be visited on 4 wheelers
Is RT-PCR test center available in Gokarna ? If there are, in how much time they provide report ? I am planning to travel from Odisha to Goa airport and then to Gokarna , there I will stay 1 and half day and return to Goa again for which I need RT-PCR test report while entering Goa from Karnataka. Hi Ashis Kumar, we tried asking around and this is what we were able to find out so far -
- You can get the test done at Gokarna Government Hospital and get the results within 24 hours.
- Gokarna doesn't have a private test centre incase there's no RRPCR at hospital. In that case one would have to go to Kumta (~30km) for RTPCR.
- There is a test point at the Goa border where you can get the test done for Rs.250 and get the result in 15 Minutes. Must be the Rapid test we are guessing.
This is all that we could find out, but your stay managers in Gokarna might be able to guide you better. Have an amazing trip! 💛

We have stayed at Halway Home Gokarna, on Kudle Beach Road next to Zostel.
We like it there for the food and general hospitality.
Do check it out once. Should be close to the price you are looking for.
