1997 Mazda Miata MX5 (NA) Review, Walkaround, In-Depth Tour, and Test Drive
As cliche as it is, the Mazda Miata MX5, or also called the Eunos Roadster is the definitive proof that you do not need a lot of speed to have fun. Being a proper sports car with a folding cloth, a 5 speed manual, and a tiny 1.6L I4 engine, you can drive this car all around, or maybe even daily it while still putting a really huge smile on your face, and a lot of wind through your hair.
What we're testing out here today, is an extremely preserved late model 1st generation NA Miata just 12,000 kilometers on the clock. It features the iconic and very 90s pop-up headlights, a 5 speed short throw manual, and loads of fun. Should you find that the soft top is a bit too unfriendly for Manila roads and climate, a removable body colored hard top is also available to be fitted at any point in time.
First generation Mazda MX-5 Miata NA body
    MY: 1989 - 1997
    1.6L B6ZE I4 NA engine
    116hp, 136Nm torque
    5 speed manual transmission
    Red soft-top, and interior
    12,000 original kilometers

Hi there Kyle - I don't usually leave comments on videos, but I had to come back to say thanks.
I had the opportunity 2 weeks ago to buy this EXACT model - a stock 1997 Miata NA 1.6 Litre.
I've never been into cars, but ever since I was a kid, I would stare at this model as it drove by.
I already own a perfectly good car. I was really on the fence over whether or not to commit.
I watched and re-watched your review and it convinced me to take the plunge and buy it.
I could go on and on about how detailed and helpful your technical breakdowns were.
However, the part that told me everything I wanted to know was right around 12:45.
That grin on your face is exactly the same one I had when I first put the top down.
Very best of luck to you & your channel - you clearly have a great future ahead!

I like your videos because we are same height so nice to see how I would fit in the cars you review. You mentioned a Momo steering wheel. Hmm.. I seem to recall Nardi steering wheels in Miatas back in the day... Miata definitely not a bastos car... Glad to see a 30 year old car can still bring such joy! Bakit owner not drive Miata more? he is missing out on Fun!
