I didn't know much about twitch but i knew there was something special about that moment i mean that's the first time anyone had seen a celeb play video games. and it really was a huge shift in gaming culture I'm glad i got to witness it in real time
ninja can’t accept that they’re are normal/ regular people in fortnite who can beat him, that’s why he quit using builds. Also, ninja is scared to let new players get famous off him, that’s why he never makes new friends or plays with new players, he’s to worried about little kids getting a couple viewers and building a name for themselves if they play with him one time, so he cuts everyone out and only helps himself. ninja isn’t the guy who throws the ladder down behind him so that the other guy can climb up, ninja pulls the ladder up behind him so that no one else can get it. it’s the same thing in the movies, when the champion gets old, he must pass the torch to the next generation, ninja will never do that.
I’ve been a huge Ninja fan since his H1Z1 days, and I’ve rooted for him through all the ups and downs over the years. I’ve followed him so closely that I’ve collected almost every collaboration he’s been a part of and spent countless hours watching his Twitch streams. So, when people say he "fell off," it feels both unfair and inaccurate to me. At 33, married, and without kids, it’s only natural that Ninja’s priorities and content have evolved. I remember when he was so skinny and clearly struggling with burnout, something we can all relate to. You can’t stay at the top forever, he’s still got a massive fan base and has successfully rebranded to appeal to his older audience. His collaborations with major brands, and podcast and his energy drink launch proves he’s doing well for himself. Personally, though, since he’s been playing nobuild mode, I’ve found it harder to stay engaged because I prefer the traditional build mode. On top of that, he doesn’t stream as often anymore, and when he does, it’s not always Fortnite. All of this has made it more difficult for me to follow him as closely as I used to, but I will still continue to root for him.
You might not like Ninja, but he still has almost 24 million subscribers on RUclips alone. That's more subscribers than most of the guys saying he fell off put together.
Rather you like ninja , dont like ninja, think he fell off or not cant deny hes the main pioneer of fortnite streamer. really showed a whole generation you can make a career off of playing video games and content creation. For that deserves everyones respect ,dude has never been in any real drama or anything. If the worst thing hes done is cry about losing a video game then thats a good dude in my books, and im not even a ninja fan.
I like watching ninja because he’s just a down to earth guy and doesn’t have to act a certain way to make money like everyone else does these day. They just pretend to be someone they aren’t and clip warms all the time
I feel like ever since the fortnite skill level started to skyrocketed ninja just couldn't handle it anymore. During chapter 1 ninja was considered the best fortnite player of all time but other players that were learning the game didn't know how to use the mechanics and weren't really good compared to ninja. But when people started to get better ninja was starting to lose it to the point that he did not want to play it anymore
When I was a kid people that were really into video games talked about stuff like becoming a game tester or designer, because never would we have thought that esports and streaming were a possibility. we've come a long way.
A thing you need account for with viewership is that the wild west days are over and so is covid. Literally everyones live viewer numbers are down. Great video man.
I love video games in general because it makes me forget about reality for a moment and it gives me excitement when the world can be very boring at times.
Found Ninja around 1 mil followers on Twitch, always been great content. Loved the video too, missed some stuff but overall compacted pretty damn good. Here's a like.
tfue was doing the same thing as ninja during this all, h1z1 to pubg to fortnite, tfue was secretly the best player no one discovered yet until Fortnite. Which is pretty cool they both came from the same start in destiny and basically mirrored games
People hate because they can and that's all they can do. Dude was fun and enjoyable and rolled with the punches. Elevated gaming to levels nobody has ever done. Made it mainstream. Toxic and wah is now how he gets clips and views. Those early days when stream would ask personal questions and he was authentic is why I respect him.
A streaming career “fall off” is when they don’t make millions a year, and don’t stream to thousands of people a day. The difference is Fortnite fell off, not Ninja.
If Fortnite fell off then please explain to me how Fortnite still has 2.5 million peak players this season . Ninja fell off he just cries about the game now. He is way too old for this.
He's still and always will be. The whole falling off thing is hilarious. He's still a great, one of the greatest, and will keep doing his thing. Everyone gets older everyone's content will slow down.
I sit a foot from my monitor for 20 hrs a day, I have no idea how my retina detached? It said I need a break fool. Ninja not the best at any game but his commentating during his Fortnite gaming made him the goat.

cool video but it is missing some early important points. TBH never been a huge ninja fan but I always followed him. Ninja was a pioneer. He elevated gaming. He hit so many roadblocks early on. He became relevant during reach. Reach was competitive but marked the downfall of Halo. Halo 4's 1st tournament he got first place, but his team had early access and therefore unfair advantage previous to launch. H4 was dropped from the competitive scene immediately and went into a sketchy league where they never paid the winners. Then Halo 5 had some hope but ultimately didn't feel like a halo. The game died within a 4 months. Then, Ninja ditched competitive halo because the games were getting hate, and he was too- albeit unfairly... he represented the younger halo crowd and got a lot of hate for it. Then Destiny came out. Ninja started to get 10k-30k viewers at a time. He was going places. But we all knew Destiny it was a Halo MCC waiting room. Halo MCC was when I felt like Ninja went all in (unfortunately for him...). The game was severely broken, servers needed months to be fixed. His rebranding and return to halo shot his viewer count in the foot. At a certain point he was lucky to get a few hundred twitch viewers. He made big plays and was quite entertaining. I knew he deserved a loyal fanbase and a stable game. Then came fortnite. We all know the story from here. I felt like there was some missing points from Ninja's early days. the guy grinded so hard and gave me the will to try to be competitive in gaming--why? Because he just made it seem so fun. Now the fun is out of it for him for now. I hope ninja turns it around and comes back with a vengeance for some successful halo titles in the future and can harness his unmatched energy and enthusiasm for gaming. Lets hope its for halo!
