I love Jennifer Nettles sooo darn much, that I'd have been tongue tied just to meet her let alone sing a duet with her!! But, in true Gabby style, she held her own and the duet was beautiful! Codie Mccarary her whole family is very proud of her. She’s one of eight siblings. I work with her oldest brother and they are all so supportive of her. They always go on family trips to support her at her shows.

America was robbed of this spectacular talent. I still don't understand how this beautiful and multi-talented young lady lost winning this show. Gabby brought me such joy as I listen to and watched her perform her music, I was brought to tears when she lost to Maddie. Yes, Maddie was good but Gabby was blessed by God to be an all around performer. She has it all! Voice, stage presence, ability to dance, beauty and ability to bring it ! The good Lord must have a better plan for her life than she nor I can even comprehend. I pray she is doing well and that she and Cade are finally married. Good Christian couple blessed with talent and love for one another. I'm 65 years old and I was and still am, so proud of Gabby as if I were her grandmother. She has brought me such joy and I check on her career from time to time but my life is waining and her's is just beginning. Her mom and dad must be so proud of their girl. I know I am. She's adorable, incredibly charismatic on stage, soulful when she sings, and I loved her cover of Colors of the Wind. It was amazing and she looked beautiful. Little Red Wagon was amazing, really showed her personality. The Whitney Houston cover gave me chills. She's so genuine and authentic, I love her and I usually don't like country music that much.

Her finale song was not as strong as Madde Poppe's but she gave the best series of performances. Which was a good indicator that she would go on to a better CAREER than anyone else. If you think about it, the winner of American Idol and the Other finalist perform on the same number of shows and thus get the same amount of exposure to the public--ergo the same size head start toward fame.

He said it because she sounded too much like Carrie Underwood. Because there already is a Carrie Underwood. They helped her develop her voice to get where it needed to be for her to have her own "country" voice. And it definitely worked, she brings the house down with her own unique sound.
