- Blaster Surface Shield® is the longest lasting, Rust Protectant on the market. This unique formula is easy to apply and provides complete corrosion protection for all metal surfaces, equipment and moving parts. It's the best defense in fighting rust.
A rust protectant creates a surface barrier between your equipment and moisture to prevent oxidation. It's important because rust doesn’t just look bad; it can also reduce your equipment or car’s lifespan. A rust protectant can keep your equipment running better for longer.
Consider applying a rust protectant on the metal parts of any equipment exposed to the elements. This includes all nuts, bolts and studs; chains and cables; battery terminals; bearings; chrome; door hinges; fittings; hood and trunk mechanisms; latches; locks; roller tracks; slide pins; tools; wheel wells; and more.
Looking for a rust protectant? Try the new B'laster Surface Shield. It offers:
✔️ Complete corrosion protection for up to two years
✔️ A lanolin-based, non-toxic, and low-VOC formula
✔️ Even surface coverage and build - no peaks and valleys
✔️ BONUS: a mild cedar fragrance

Grabbed the last 3 cans at Home Depot. Just coated my 2000 GMC Sierra 2500 frame and could use 2 more cans. I've been chasing rust for over 10 years. Hope this helps.
My HD only has 3 cans too. I’m not even going to try it with only 3 cans on my Yukon. I know I will need more and the HD does not know when they will get more in.
when will you come out with the bulk 1gallon and 5 gallon?

What is the difference between Blaster corrosion stop and Blaster surface shield
Great video. This was suggested to be used on a new mower deck to decrease the grass from sticking. Question: After application, does it set up/somewhat dry or does it stay wet and oily? If it does somewhat set up, would a second coat be recommended?
Thanks in advance for your input.
The reviews on this product are very promising and I would definitely use it but the lack of extension wands has me going with fluid film at least for internal and hard to reach areas unless you can tell me where to find extension wands
THIS
I’ve bought a long straw on Amazon to apply their older product Corrosion Stop with decent results inside frame rails and fenders. Still better than not doing anything at all
Some else posted to buy and install graffiti caps in place of the standard nozzle. Then you can use the 360/extension wands sold by fluid film and wool wax
Haven't seen it at lowes yet. C'mawn B'laster I'll drive up with my own bucket and hit the self serve tap.
Interesting.. hope it is good !
For us that are in rust fighting for years this product worth only if will some extension wand work with it. Would advise PB Blaster to start making wand for it. Will warn in advance - wands from Montana company do not work well because stem of wand cap at Montana is only 3,1mm and opening at cans are 3,3 and wands leak around stem. Better way is have female cap, as one other company do, and stem is at can and act like adapter between can opening and Montana wand.
yeah if PB just sold extending "wands" to add onto their cans
How can I buy a gallon or 5 gallon pal thank you and been using your product for years but can't find this in a gallon or 5 gallons
Been using the 1 gallon fluid film brushing it on
Is it sticky to the touch? If so does it remain sticky after time?
The surface will remain wet to the touch.
i really want to buy this stuff, but i cant find it anywhere. put it back on amazon!
I need an extension wand to spray my frame. If you had that, I would buy this for my car 100% But unfortunately I have to go back to fluid film because of that fact alone
Does this product come in gallon size
Is this gonna be released in Canada?
Do I need to remove the rust before I use it?
Big flakes, but surface rust just spray over it
what about internally on the car like in the frame?
oh yeah, inside and out!
Its a little unclear whether this stuff converts existing rust, or if it is just a rust protectorant? If your undercarriage is already rusty, will it continue to rust behind this coating.
no, it will cause it to cease....promise....spray before winter and again after last snow
@@richcombs4805 can you tell me what size air compressor tank I would need to spray this on an undercarriage with a paint gun? I thought a paint gun would get up into a lot of hard to reach areas, but I only have a 2 gallon air compressor tank.
I have the 1 gallon bucket of surface shield. Thanks
@@c.rutherford I'm sorry I am no help on that...I've only used cans with a female cap ~24inch spray wand extension. If you can spray paint with a tank that small they I'd think you'd be fine. I guess just try it and if that compressor keeps turning on, you'll just have to wait for it to refill and shut off, or hook a spare tank to it to increase the capacity (my dad has two pancake tanks in series to achieve this).
@@richcombs4805 totally didn't work. I filled the paint spray gun can halfway with the PB Surface Shield, filled the tank and nothing comes out but air. The stuff must be too thick to use with a paint spray gun.
Wish I had bought the cans :/ Anyway it looks like the gallon bucket is brush on only
If I wasn't such a bonehead I would have bought some paint brushes, now I got the car up on jacks so I can't go get any in time. Guess its game over for today, sun falls like a house of bricks this time of year.
Can't find this product anywhere. Is it discontinued ?
I think it's new.
Home Depot only for the moment
Yeah I bought some for my Toyota. Only Home Depot sells it
Brand new, the cans just clog up within minutes- constantly having to remove the caps and clean them. The caps are defective/wrong and it's infuriating to use. I bought a box of 6 and ALL of them are bad. Untested and overpriced product.
Please make this in black and provide an inner cavity wand. Also - the price is crazy guys.
I bought this product in Canadian tire. Used 15% and it stopped working, no pressure in a can or something just stucked in. So waste of money. I've seen reviews with the same problem. Total disappointment.
The can is so messy, horrible. The product goes out not just from the nosel itself but from under it as well.
What is the burn off temperature for this product?
Can i use this on my hand tools and will it give me cancer if i huff the fumes?
Question, will this soften factory frame paint like fluid film does? I want to use this on my new 2022 4runner frame to avoid those infamous rotting toyota frames
If it’s that new I personally wouldn’t. I would stick to routine undercarriage sprays with a pressure washer. If the frame is older this kind of stuff is best.
just did the underside of my quad. the scent is a little off putting and im not a fan. i sprayed it outside. maybe try an added scent thats more refreshing and less stale smelling?
Can't find this product anywhere in the Home Depot stores.
When and where can I purchase it, it's not even on your web site for ordering?
amazon. just got a case of 6 cans
@@AdamEdward Thank you for your reply. Yes I ordered a case from them.
Canadian tire needs this in every store!!!
Ya
Waiting for the 1 gallon size
If I have surface rust, will it remove it then protect?
It dosent remove rust, it stops rust from forming or spreading
@@1991tommygun So if I have surface rust it will stop it dead in its tracks ?
@@DJR5280 yes...even Fluid Film or the product I use Corrosion Free 3000 will cause it to cease....just REMEMBER to reapply periodically. Twice per year would be best for those areas near or on exterior like door bottoms and wheel wells. I managed to get civic door bottoms to cease rusting in upstate NY in 2017 and still by now end of 2021 the rust has not gotten any worse. Even up under the paint, it will crawl and cause it to cease.
@@richcombs4805 I bought a whole case of this stuff. I live in Denver which is not known for a lot of rust but my used Tahoe surface rust on the frame. This stuff did not hold up at all. First pressure wash and it came right off. I don't know if it's the lack of humidity here or what but it didn't do the job. I decided to take some super clean and a brush and clean the frame off. I'll throw some oil based Rustoleum on there and call it a day.
@@DJR5280 well I do appreciate this and will pondered.....was it allowed to sit overnight or sit for a while before you pressure washed it? I have been using something out of Toronto called Corrosion Free 3000 which is similar to Fluid Film but more clear. I can pressure wash but it will creep back. Not sure if you've watched the guy on Repair Geek but he is so sold on this that he's dropping everything else and going to this.
I have a ford ranger with a c frame but an area they welded the other side to make it a box frame and bunch of rust crap dust in the box frame part. thinking about spraying this in there?
I’d power wash it best you can let it dry and use it seems to work really well.
Ordered a case of 6 cans online, after watching reviews. Seems to be a good product so far after using 1.5 cans. Only complaint is spraying into holes in doors & frames...can needs an actual wand. Even like the new flip up ones on the PB stuff would be nice. I shot 3 of those little red sticks right off the can 😕
I found 4mm female cap extension wands on Ebay and bought two. They come out of Lithuania but they work. Let me know if you'd like the link.
@@richcombs4805 yeah send me a link when you can, thanks
Safe on rubber and electrical connections?
yep!
