Wouldn't you know it? I bought a new-to-me Polaris and it had rotted pick up lines in the tank! So, I've been scratching my head wondering how I could remedy this and BAM! I find your video! Thank you!
Thanks for excellent info! Curious as to brand of gasket shellac? Indian Head? Also wonder where you got your clamps that you cut ears off of? And was gas Line 1/4" OD? Thanks
Very good video , thanks I have the same sled and currently doing some of the same stuff. Mine is flooding out as soon as you pull the rope. Going to adjust the choke slack and see?
My situation at the moment is I have a 95’ Polaris XLT and the cylinders won’t get fuel. I replaced the fuel pump and filter and tank vent hose. Do you think this is my issue? I believe the pick up filter and line have never been replaced.
I don't understand why you use that clamp it's not clamped on the hose you just slid it on. Maybe it acts like a coupling since it's glued to both pieces? Why not twist some wire on it nice and tight?
Great video I had the same problem but my skidoo fuel line is much bigger and I can’t find it anywhere. It’s like at least 3/8 in diameter. I’ve ordered some parts but they come wrong too small it’s a 1995 skidoo summit 583. The line in the tank is pretty big, anyone know where I can get one? Might be metric maybe 10 mm?
I believe the brown sticky sealant he uses is “Permatex Indian Head Gasket Shellac”, although I plan and would recommend after researching to use either “Permatex High Tack Gasket Sealant” or “Permatex PermaShield Fuel Resistant Gasket Sealant” as they are resistant to fuel and oil.
bob have a 2000 cat zr600 no gas from tank pulled out the fitting with the pickup with fuel on no gas out of tank a very little drips out if i shake the sled any ideas
I've recently flipped my 04 rmk 800 vertical edge and there's a line coming from the back of the air filter box it's kinda leaking fuel how and where do I put it back in
