    This is most likely the best DIY motorcycle lift I have seen so far.
    I want to make myself one.
    Can you make a playlist of the videos you have made of this build?
    Would also be great if you have a simple technical drawing and cut list and share it with us.

      10:39 look at this shot here you can see what it could look like make differences, and search the internet for parts, i would add add the pivot maybe a rod welded to the bolts, or attached in another way for extra stability, and maybe a base plate cuz i don't fully thrust those wheels, but that is all up to you, your bike size, and how much area you might need, like i said go to sites for official scissor lifts take measurements ect

    Awesome Motorcycle Lift Table Build!! I am grabbing tips and tricks that you are using and building my first motorcycle lift table instead of paying such a high price.. Thanks

  • @willieshaw2522
    @willieshaw2522 Год назад +3

    I built a similar table about 10 years ago to work on rider mowers. I had the same issue getting it to lift the first 6-8". Since I didn't want to raise the deck height and have to mess with ramps, I installed an air lift bag I had laying around under the center of the table. Inflating the air bag lifts the table high enough that the winch can take over and easily raise the deck the rest of the way.

    Just a small tip for those who don't have an acetylene torch. You can cover the area where you'll be welding with paper towels, then spray the rest of the surface with cooking spray. Slag bbs won't stick.

    • @matthewpeterson3329
      @matthewpeterson3329 6 месяцев назад +2

      Cooking spray works... so does a light film of WD-40, and that's always around the shop. I wouldn't waste torch gas on weld bb's.

    Hey brother, I own a shop up in Rochester, NY, called Asylum Cycles. I stumbled across this video after looking at many lifts and not happy. I have most of the material to build this. Do you have any build plans or materials list you could share? Wondering were the spacers inside the square tube stock and rollers you used.

    This is beautiful. So I’ve been thinking how you go lower. I think adding a change of direction pulley near the center of the table and dropping it maybe 3” now provides an angle so the cable doesn’t flatten out and pulls against itself. Had the table been made out of maybe 5” stock, that would’ve allowed room to hide the pulley inside maybe? Im so intrigued, I’m thinking of doing a temp fab out of 2x4 wood and see if the theory works.

      Nice build. I think I might make something similar, although mine would need to be wide enough for a lawn tractor or snow blower (my most common patients/victims). I would also like to see if you have come up with a safety mechanism. A tall jack stand could work in a pinch. How stable is it side to side? I imagine for and aft is pretty good, except maybe at full height.
