The sun blazed fiercely overhead, casting unforgiving shadows across the concrete surface of Route 955. This was the setting for my grueling journey to Civoleg, a 42-kilometer stretch that would test both my physical endurance and mental resilience. With an elevation gain of 1175 meters, the path was a relentless series of uphill and downhill segments, promising a battle against both the terrain and the sweltering midday heat.
