almost never fails.. when i'm looking to learn something in washington and i search youtube and i land on your videos.. this was a good one!! thank you! i enjoyed all 19 minutes :)
Great video Mike! As being at the age i am i dont have fancy electronics and a nice boat but i have been fishing Coulon from shore at had alot of bite using rattletraps and just ripping em off the bottom.
yes, there are crappie in lake Washington. If you search the reports for lake Washington you will find a few that feature crappie as the target species
Remember bait walkers? seems like one would do great for you in sted of the round weight n tri swivel. and why a lipless non floating crank baits and not a floater comeing up off that weight?, nice big kicker small mouth. Iv seen guys drop shotting that creek chanel near the marina in Bellveiw, Dann nice bronz backs guys them are some brutes.
Is there any crappie in lake washington and is it a good fishery worth fishing?? I know the perch fishing is pretty good but I'd love to get on some slabs!! Any and all info you have would be greatly appreciated
i agree ive made the mistake of releasing giant pike minnow, but now i pluck the the gills out and toss em back in. they are an infestation that need to be dealt with, long lake is completly swarmed by them.
On the rivers I grew up fishin Salmon, you always killed the squafish. Why not kill them in Lake WA? They eat salmon smolts and other baby fish, so what would it hurt?
I don't have the heart to murder an animal, and i see that Dez cares about the well being of his fish. Thats a good thing but we are supposed to kill the squaw, before it kills our salmon and trout.. Smallmouth bass are not native either but they don't eat many salmon and trout babies like walleye and pike minnow and squawfish do. Its a temperature thing, the bass prefer warm water, salmon and trout like it cold..
Will be coming back to watch more. Thanks for sharing!

I will keep bass under 12" if I have a need. I release over 12" to allow them to get bigger and others to catch them.
whats the name of that dropshot worm?
Is it possible to fish with you guys? I've always wanted to fish smallmouth on lake washington but I don't have a boat. Thanks for tips

This video is from several years ago. Not sure what Mark is up to, been out of touch for awhile. I don't winter fish bass other than this time out.

Why don't you just keep the bass if their legal?
