Realistically it’s not even close to like that, I value eclipsed opinion and I’m sure others due but nobody acts on what he says lol Either way people will play the games they enjoy even if there flawed. Ive played through all the difficulties at this point and realised at one point all you really can do is turn your brain off once your good at movement, I wish there was any good roblox game on rn but everything is either a jjk fuckfest or mediocre at best

I was a tester for the game, for the last 6 months, nothing was added, constantly we were being told bogus percentages for how close they'd be to update 4/5, they never did update 5 btw, and update 4 was just the release? The staff in the server is HORRID, one ex staff was an actual groomer. Nearly nothing was done and mentioning him can get u in trouble now. And also if you talk anything bad about anyone higher up you get randomly demoted and lose privileges. Moderators act without analysing situations beforehand. Thus having seen atleast 20 people whom all have messaged me after very bogus and random bans, to ask wth happened. Even dming the mods who "punish" to ask for information on your predicament can actually make it all WORSE. Not to even mention how shady many devs are, like half the dev team used to actually (not jokingly) pretend to be women. And I could go on with just how much stupid shit goes on constantly.

Attack on Titan: Freedom War will always stand as my personally favorite AOT game on Roblox. At least as the campaign progresses, you aren't specific to just killing mindless titans.

Think of aot:revolution like a bowl of soup from one restaurant. However, this bowl of soup used some ingredients from other bowls of soup from similar restaurants, and mashed it all together. They also added some ingredients, but they were so tasteless that they added no effect to the soup.
game kinda sucks, atleast the odm gear does, can't even grapple on the ground and there are areas where you basically have nothing to grapple to, it was the worst experience.
I agree that it fails to innovate but I disagree with a few things. First I think its just good to mention that these are the same devs who made aot:evolution. That's why it seems so similar, because it is. Long story short, the devs had to sell the old game due to complications and the person that bought evolution ran it into the ground, so they original devs made this game. I agree, it's the same game as every other aot game that you farm titans in, besides titan warfare I think you're wrong about that because it's a whole different concept, but I personally don't see many ways to make an Attack on Titan game other than this same old way. Thats what they do in the show, kill titans. I think there are only 2 games on roblox that diverge from this, Titan Warfare which is based off of season 4 of the series, and Attack on Titan Freedom War, which is just a campaign that follows the events of the series (would recommend if you haven't made a video on it yet.) As for difficulty, yes, making titans have more health does make the game feel worse, you slam into titans and get stuck. Which is realistic, if you fly headfirst into a titans nape of course you're going to get caught on it. There are a few ways to get around this like dashing away, but that's besides the point. Continuing on difficulty, on higher difficulty titans also do more damage, to the point of one shotting you which really forces you to be more efficient. I also think titans react to your presence faster and grab you faster in higher difficulties as well. For grinding and getting cash for these difficulties I just recommend playing with friends, it's alot faster that way and makes it easier to upgrade and one shot titans on higher difficulties. It's also just fun to compete with friends over kills. Lastly, for what they were doing for the past months, from what I've see they have been working on titan shifting, I think prestiging? And a new game mode called missions or something. They have raids and waves coming soon too. They also recently released a roadmap so we can see what's coming. I completely agree though, what's the point of working on raids, waves, and missions if it's not going to come with release. Personally I think they should have just waited a few more weeks to release with all of those. That's all from me, if you want to discuss anything I'm open to it.
i am not reading all of that but its not a good thing that its so similar. Aot evolution was a game i liked a lot but this is just a watered down version of it with worst graphics also the owner gambled the money meant to be for the game and sold it hes just a sellout

Though, I would argue Revolutions graphics are better and is more refined in general. If you could explain why you think it's a watered down version I would be happy to listen.

But they are adding different stuff, the game has shifting already which aot:e never got to see. They're also adding more raids and a new missions system. So yeah it's just aot:e atm but later I think it will surpass it.

I feel like at 8:20 you began to ramble a bit. You were talking about the game not being more difficult by increasing other stats about titans, then proceeded to literally get mouth grabbed by a titan(and losing a large chunk of your health in the process) -Increasing the turn speed forces players to do their movements more efficient(or attack their body parts) -Increasing damage forces players to make less mistakes -Increasing the titan amount increases the chance of clusters and abnormals I feel its disingenuous to say that health is "the only way to increase difficulty" when there's several other factors that make the other difficulties harder.

It’d be better to make it if they had more health so it would be a challenge, I don’t get what points you making here other than talking about the player. The point is the titans really don’t pose much difficulty if your good at the game and that’s a problem because once players who are loyal to the game usually being the good players hit the wall of pure absolute boredom they leave. So increasing their health and head turn speed would actually make it more fun, difficult yes as a normals are a problem if they were made tanker and faster but it would give a challenge to the already growing population of good players within the game. So I don’t believe Eclipse rambled he stated a point that has validity to it and if implemented it would make good players feel better as their overcoming harder and harder obstacles.
Roblox games nowadays are like tv shows, keep making remakes, spin offs, and new shows following the same format. The ones that don't follow the norm are left to die because if little Timmy doesn't see his favorite media character in the game then it will fall off. Not mentioning the fact that the new games coming out are absurdly easy and shallow.
I started play the game for Titan shifting and after seeing that you need to grind for like hours + its only 1 Titan, i closed the game and i will probably not playing it again I add that there is very nice ability but only for 0.1% of people like bro 1% wasn't enough(I'm happy with a famillies who give buff to a titan who isn't even out tho)

from the little ive played the game, the game really innovates AOT roblox games, it has different campaigns from the series and you can play different roles and different sides each time, the combat system is also well done, the only problem i have with it's that it is way too hard for newplayers and way too frustrating
Eclipse, I think you should really play a game called "Attack on titan: Freedom war." It basically plays out the entire story of attack on titan comprised in stages, its really fun cause you can be a warrior. The game is extremely hard and is difficult so heads up!

If it is the latter, I have some "choice words" that I will not say to you, but I will say this, scrolling down to this comment, I've seen many dumb people trying to protect their favorite AOT game. Spoiler alert: they all make points that literally are specified in the video to be false. I'm too far into writing this so I'm not going back, but there was third option to "wdm." The third option was "What do you mean by ddos." That answer is quite simple, Eclipse has a series known as "daily dose of stupid" in which he reviews comments from his comment section and picks out the dumbest people, who can't stand when their favorite game is insulted. He then responds to these really dumb people, and most of time their points are directly referenced in the video, making his words few to none. But, once in a blue moon, a person valid point and he will probably either respond, and prove them wrong with said response, or admit fault and it being separate video. That last one is only if there is enough proof though, I put a period there being I thought it dragging on a bit too long. (I'm really lazy and am not writing this again in a perfect format, but I did the best I could for revising this wall of text on my tablet.)

they aren't correlated, but yes, the gameplay, movement and such are better than any other aot game. though obviously opinions can vary but this game has a nice low skill floor, and a nice high enough skill ceiling.

I did everything and i still dont get the point of type soul. It's literally just hella empty, and if i'm being honest, type soul only got up because of a mediocre update. It's not even that i'm glazing eclipse here, i also believe what he says. Type soul for me is overrated. It's not even decent. At the very least, on my part, my opinion, peroxide is just wayyyy better. I know, it has some hit or miss in the combat but, i still like other aspects of that game than type soul. Can you check out attack on titan freedom war? It's a hidden gem (imo) Thank you. I just want more people to know about it. Theres such a small playerbase for the unique type of premise It's a permadeath murder mystery (not among us) is the best way i could describe it. With working shifting of course. it follows the storyline of aot but some things changes based on how players do.
Day 76 (22 videos) of suggesting combat initation Combat initation is a ultrakill inspired game that is still good on its own, with alot of tech like parrying your own projectiles (PROJECTILE BOOST!!!) or super fun movement, it would be a good alternative to actually playing and covering ultrakill
Eclipse, I watched the whole video and as a lv 70 player in the game, I think your points are valid. I think PERSONALLY that this game's ODM gear is better, way more fluid, and easy to use which makes the game appealing at the start. Yes the modifiers don't change much and you're hard stuck on the next difficulty but you didn't include the part where you equipped perks, you didn't show it in the video so I can only assume you didn't have any of them equipped. Perks boost your stats by % which makes your ATK, Odm gas, blade durability, etc. higher so you deal more damage or have an overall boost. This game is a bit more fun with friends like all games lol. Now with your question of what they're doing? I haven't played the demo in the early state neither was I in the discord, as of right now they made announcements in the discord about having an update 1 soon with the Raid that you talked about not being there. They have a road map of updates they announced and I think you made the video at the wrong time. This isn't a hate comment, I personally like the game and been a subscriber of your content for a long time so I just wanted to put my 2 cents for you!
@@aether4340 I looked into your comment and checked the update logs for those inactive months. I see that they were making, titan shifting along with the models, prestige coding, skill tree and said it took them a bit to make it perfect, perks and perk crafting along with perk enhancing. I'm a developer myself, not for this game but as a scripter things like crafting can take a while. The long months really isn't an excuse I'd say my team could've made the same progress in 2 months but there was probably something bts that was going on for them. I feel like they made everything that's significant for end game and didn't worry much for new players.
eclipse you need to try out attack on titan: freedom war it's HEAVILY underrated, but the main complaints i have is optimisation, and the fact that the tutorial doesn't really teach you much. BUT REGARDLESS, after playing the game for OVER 2 YEARS, i can safely say that it is the BEST attack on titan game on the platform. (it's campaign, permadeath based.)
Well, the thing is, the game was based on aot where the titans act exactly like this, so someone skilled wouldn't have much trouble dealing with titans, just like Levi. You can't really make the game more fun without deviating from the source material.
Yes you can lol there have been many examples of this. for example games like yba managed to implement op stands like ger and twoh and they arent gamebreakingly op, you can easily deviate from the source without any issues

I do have a few questions for you specifically, 1 have you played aberrant including with all mods. 2 did you look at the discord to see an update tree? they will be adding a new map, raids are coming this update, and the game isn't finished they never said it was we all know it has some work that can be added but it just takes time, no game is great off the bat. they'll be new kinds of titans. I'm not trying to leave a hate comment I'm just trying to say if you're going to talk about the flaws on the game at least keep up to date with what the devs are doing. They were going to be releasing raids earlier, but they didn't like how the outcome was going so they wanted to work on it. Again, I'm not trying to leave a hate comment just state something.

People find enjoyment in spending thousands of hours on chess, people enjoy bandit beaters like type soul, people love lots of games that are objectively just doing the same thing over and over. You know why that's fine and not an objective fault? Because it's subjective. And clearly, Eclipse is part of the loud minority here.
@Sap00600 Sure, if it's fun. I'm sure your favorite game is hella repetitive in some aspect, and oh boy don't get me started on how mind numbingly repetitive Eclipse's favourite roblox games are. I find enjoyment steadily upgrading my gear, getting perks, prestiging, grinding for rare things, and I bet a lot of games you like have those exact same features.
Eclipse, please play attack on titan freedom war. It is the best attack on titan game on Roblox, the ODM Gear system is skill based and you have to get used to the map and its controls in order to master it. They’ve managed to make it where titans are actually scary and could kill you if you aren’t being careful no matter how good you are. The game's campaign goes through a story heavily based on real attack on titan and basically functions where there are two teams, the first team being the soldiers and the second warriors. The starting warriors are basically three titans shifters, the colossal, armored, and female goal is to stop the soldiers from completing their goals, survive the game, and capture the attack titan at their escape points. In most attack on titan games battling a titan as a soldier is useless so you may think this sounds outrageously easy, however with how the ODMG system works, the devs have crafted the game to where it completely depends on the skill of both sides. On one hand the female titans could be eviscerated in seconds by a group of good players or wipe an entire server filled with bad players, no team or player's flat out losing to anybody unless they have an ability that stops them from losing (armored titan's armor). For the soldiers, if you spawn in the game as a regular soldier your goal is to complete your missions, assist the attack titan in combat and defeat the warriors. The game can get tricky since the warriors are disguised as soldiers and one moment of you being lax could end with you getting wiped (yes the game is perma death I forgot to mention). The soldiers have to coordinate plans based off what they know on the game and use each other and their titans strategically to win against the warriors and beat the campaign. It’s a super fun game to play with high stakes because of the perma death so I recommend you play it. And yes, the game has a tutorial, albeit not too good of one. If you find yourself enjoying the game at all I’d recommend just using a trello to discover all the hidden mechanics.

Hey eclipse, while i know this game has been recommended to you quite a bit already and you have mentioned it previously, Attack on Titan:Freedom War just recently left beta, the campaign is finished and there are currently no game-breaking bugs like there were while the game was still in development. Now is probably the best time to pick up the game, i swear its not slop like usual!
fw is peak but there's a crazy bug with fem where you can't handcut out of her hand even if she only has regular hardening (it was supposed to just be a mastery 10 thing) but yeah fw plays like an actual game and not a grinding sim

(If you dont want to read everything I left a summarizied version at the very end of the comment) The first point I want to adress is the updates, the updates take so long because they have to model, script, and make vfx for said updates, apart from bug fixing and polishing, not only that but from what i've seen the dev team is kind of incompetent there is a lot of inside arguing and a large part of the dev team has a bad history with children. In summary I feel that the updates take so long because the dev team is incompetent but also because developing games is really hard. The second point I want to adress is the small updates, while the updates may seen small they actually added lots of stuff, but the problem is that all they did was polish big fix and add endgame stuff, thats why it seems like nothing was really added, although I do believe they should have finished some core mechanics like horses. In summary the dev team bareley added early game stuff in their updates. The third point is the repetitive gameplay, the game is repetitive, this is because of the dev team's bad budgeting, that eventually they got so low on money they needed to cash out with the release and had to release the game early so they didnt have time to make other game modes, apart from that, the difficulty does actually actually provide an extra challenge apart from just damage buff and health boost, titans grab faster, turn faster, and get more crowded, the game is so similar to all the other aot game because this game is basically a remake of evolution and because of the afformentioned budgeting issues. In summary* I think *the creators of the game lacked budget so they had to release the game early and thus that is why the game is similar to other aot games, also the difficulties do actually change some other factors withing the titans apart from health & damage. Some minor points I just want to comment that moving on from difficulty to dificulty isnt random at all I believe you need to upgrade 8 out of your 10 stats to the same level as said difficulty to be able to move on. The skill tree, perks, and families help mix up the game a bit but are generally kind of useless at early game. The titans not being 1 shot and you getting stuck on them is actually a really interesting way to reward players who have good mobility because if you can manage your movement right there is actually ways to slice the titan without getting stuck. To conclude my comment I want to state that this game is good, it has lots of potential and personally it is fun to play. But on the other side the dev team is horrible the updates are kind of bad, and the game was released half unfinished. Thanks for reading. 1. Amazing video Eclipse. I do have some disagreements with some statements that was.. stated. I do agree that the game is overall just a simulation, but there really isn’t any point to games then. Like street fighter 6, you just play as a character.. there’s nothing more to it. Even GTA 5, there’s nothing more to it other than kill people and ram into buildings. I have a few theories on why people like the game: -Mostly because of how good the quality is, VFX, SFX, everything. -When people see visually appealing things, it activates dopamine. -People are fans of AOT:R and want to feel what it’s like to actually be a scout. I wanted to say that the game isn’t even finished yet. They just released the game on Update 4 because of various factors such as death threats, anticipation, begging, and more. I’d say it was rushed because there are a few bugs that could’ve been easily fixed if they spent proper time on the game. All in all, I agree with most of the things you said. +1 like.
You have NOT touched any game other than roblox. for example in gta 5, there's an entire storyline, mods you can install, director mode and explore the world. the fact you said "there's nothing more to it other than kill people and ram into buildings" proves it lol. in street fighter the combat is fun, you play against diferent people of different builds and skill levels and there's a storyline (correct me if im wrong i only played sf 5)
How the hell did the actual gameplay not change at all..... the enemies are identical, and they didn't change literally ANYTHING. No bosses, no new unique gameplay like riding on horses, no defense modes, no invasion modes, nothing. How did they mess that up????

I know many people have already said it but ill say as well. YOU SHOULD SERIOUSLY TRY OUT AOT FREEDOM WAR ITS EXTREMELY UNDERRATED. It has good gameplay, movement, quality and perfectly mimics the vibe they give of in the anime as well. They also have mechanics that are not commonly found in other games like the horse, shifting, cannon and others. And its very easy to understand how it works. If you forget you can always clock the ? Button to find the mechanics of something. It also introduces human vs human, shifter vs shifter and human vs shifter so you wont get bored killing npcs all the time. It may get buggy at some times but its usually very rare to happen and its also quite small and wont affect your gameplay. Hope you saw my perspective of the game or others who introduce this game to you as well and hopefullt you try it out yourself. 👍 Aight ima quit yappin now

The hub can be used to chat with your friends. But i get your point here it's pretty useless. Imo it would be cool if you could do a free play in that map and kill random titans like plants vs zombies garden warfare 2 where you go outside the backyard and you can just kill npc zombies or plants. Now this won't have much difference as farming missions but it would help the lobby have a better use.

I was a tester for the game, for the last 6 months, nothing was added, constantly we were being told bogus percentages for how close they'd be to update 4/5, they never did update 5 btw, and update 4 was just the release?
The staff in the server is HORRID, one ex staff was an actual groomer. Nearly nothing was done and mentioning him can get u in trouble now.
And also if you talk anything bad about anyone higher up you get randomly demoted and lose privileges.
Moderators act without analysing situations beforehand. Thus having seen atleast 20 people whom all have messaged me after very bogus and random bans, to ask wth happened.

Attack on Titan: Freedom War will always stand as my personally favorite AOT game on Roblox. At least as the campaign progresses, you aren't specific to just killing mindless titans.

I agree that it fails to innovate but I disagree with a few things.
First I think its just good to mention that these are the same devs who made aot:evolution. That's why it seems so similar, because it is. Long story short, the devs had to sell the old game due to complications and the person that bought evolution ran it into the ground, so they original devs made this game.
I agree, it's the same game as every other aot game that you farm titans in, besides titan warfare I think you're wrong about that because it's a whole different concept, but I personally don't see many ways to make an Attack on Titan game other than this same old way. Thats what they do in the show, kill titans. I think there are only 2 games on roblox that diverge from this, Titan Warfare which is based off of season 4 of the series, and Attack on Titan Freedom War, which is just a campaign that follows the events of the series (would recommend if you haven't made a video on it yet.)
As for difficulty, yes, making titans have more health does make the game feel worse, you slam into titans and get stuck. Which is realistic, if you fly headfirst into a titans nape of course you're going to get caught on it. There are a few ways to get around this like dashing away, but that's besides the point. Continuing on difficulty, on higher difficulty titans also do more damage, to the point of one shotting you which really forces you to be more efficient. I also think titans react to your presence faster and grab you faster in higher difficulties as well.
For grinding and getting cash for these difficulties I just recommend playing with friends, it's alot faster that way and makes it easier to upgrade and one shot titans on higher difficulties. It's also just fun to compete with friends over kills.
Lastly, for what they were doing for the past months, from what I've see they have been working on titan shifting, I think prestiging? And a new game mode called missions or something. They have raids and waves coming soon too. They also recently released a roadmap so we can see what's coming. I completely agree though, what's the point of working on raids, waves, and missions if it's not going to come with release. Personally I think they should have just waited a few more weeks to release with all of those.

I feel like at 8:20 you began to ramble a bit. You were talking about the game not being more difficult by increasing other stats about titans, then proceeded to literally get mouth grabbed by a titan(and losing a large chunk of your health in the process)
-Increasing the turn speed forces players to do their movements more efficient(or attack their body parts)
-Increasing damage forces players to make less mistakes
-Increasing the titan amount increases the chance of clusters and abnormals

It’d be better to make it if they had more health so it would be a challenge, I don’t get what points you making here other than talking about the player. The point is the titans really don’t pose much difficulty if your good at the game and that’s a problem because once players who are loyal to the game usually being the good players hit the wall of pure absolute boredom they leave. So increasing their health and head turn speed would actually make it more fun, difficult yes as a normals are a problem if they were made tanker and faster but it would give a challenge to the already growing population of good players within the game. So I don’t believe Eclipse rambled he stated a point that has validity to it and if implemented it would make good players feel better as their overcoming harder and harder obstacles.

What do you mean by "wdm." Is that supposed to be like "what do mean." or you just were lazy and decided "nah, I won't put the y in there." If it is the former, I don't respond to people who can't say "you." If it is the latter, I have some "choice words" that I will not say to you, but I will say this, scrolling down to this comment, I've seen many dumb people trying to protect their favorite AOT game. Spoiler alert: they all make points that literally are specified in the video to be false. I'm too far into writing this so I'm not going back, but there was third option to "wdm." The third option was "What do you mean by ddos." That answer is quite simple, Eclipse has a series known as "daily dose of stupid" in which he reviews comments from his comment section and picks out the dumbest people, who can't stand when their favorite game is insulted. He then responds to these really dumb people, and most of time their points are directly referenced in the video, making his words few to none. But, once in a blue moon, a person valid point and he will probably either respond, and prove them wrong with said response, or admit fault and it being separate video. That last one is only if there is enough proof though, I put a period there being I thought it dragging on a bit too long.

This is what i like about eclipse tbh. He doesn't care of negative criticism, instead, he says the honest truth for himself. I hate the roblox community because, they let the majority decide for them. Blox fruits is ass, this game is ass, type soulz is ass but nobody wants to speak. It's because people don't want negative feedback. Those 3 games are literal cashgrabs. As far as i can remember, attack on titan revolution was or is still owned by a scumbag. Typesouls went out of CC because of money. They went back for more money. Blox fruits was and STILL IS a cashgrab game. I did everything and i still dont get the point of type soul. It's literally just hella empty, and if i'm being honest, type soul only got up because of a mediocre update. It's not even that i'm glazing eclipse here, i also believe what he says. Type soul for me is overrated. It's not even decent. At the very least, on my part, my opinion, peroxide is just wayyyy better. I know, it has some hit or miss in the combat but, i still like other aspects of that game than type soul. Can you check out attack on titan freedom war? It's a hidden gem (imo) Thank you. I just want more people to know about it. Theres such a small playerbase for the unique type of premise It's a permadeath murder mystery (not among us) is the best way i could describe it. With working shifting of course. it follows the storyline of aot but some things changes based on how players do.

Eclipse, I watched the whole video and as a lv 70 player in the game, I think your points are valid. I think PERSONALLY that this game's ODM gear is better, way more fluid, and easy to use which makes the game appealing at the start. Yes the modifiers don't change much and you're hard stuck on the next difficulty but you didn't include the part where you equipped perks, you didn't show it in the video so I can only assume you didn't have any of them equipped. Perks boost your stats by % which makes your ATK, Odm gas, blade durability, etc. higher so you deal more damage or have an overall boost. This game is a bit more fun with friends like all games lol. Now with your question of what they're doing? I haven't played the demo in the early state neither was I in the discord, as of right now they made announcements in the discord about having an update 1 soon with the Raid that you talked about not being there. They have a road map of updates they announced and I think you made the video at the wrong time. This isn't a hate comment, I personally like the game and been a subscriber of your content for a long time so I just wanted to put my 2 cents for you!

I see that they were making, titan shifting along with the models, prestige coding, skill tree and said it took them a bit to make it perfect, perks and perk crafting along with perk enhancing. I'm a developer myself, not for this game but as a scripter things like crafting can take a while. The long months really isn't an excuse I'd say my team could've made the same progress in 2 months but there was probably something bts that was going on for them. I feel like they made everything that's significant for end game and didn't worry much for new players.

Well, the thing is, the game was based on aot where the titans act exactly like this, so someone skilled wouldn't have much trouble dealing with titans, just like Levi. You can't really make the game more fun without deviating from the source material.

I do have a few questions for you specifically, 1 have you played aberrant including with all mods. 2 did you look at the discord to see an update tree? they will be adding a new map, raids are coming this update, and the game isn't finished they never said it was we all know it has some work that can be added but it just takes time, no game is great off the bat. they'll be new kinds of titans. I'm not trying to leave a hate comment I'm just trying to say if you're going to talk about the flaws on the game at least keep up to date with what the devs are doing. They were going to be releasing raids earlier, but they didn't like how the outcome was going so they wanted to work on it. Again, I'm not trying to leave a hate comment just state something.

I find enjoyment steadily upgrading my gear, getting perks, prestiging, grinding for rare things, and I bet a lot of games you like have those exact same features.
Eclipse, please play attack on titan freedom war. It is the best attack on titan game on Roblox, the ODM Gear system is skill based and you have to get used to the map and its controls in order to master it. They’ve managed to make it where titans are actually scary and could kill you if you aren’t being careful no matter how good you are. The game's campaign goes through a story heavily based on real attack on titan and basically functions where there are two teams, the first team being the soldiers and the second warriors.
The starting warriors are basically three titans shifters, the colossal, armored, and female goal is to stop the soldiers from completing their goals, survive the game, and capture the attack titan at their escape points. In most attack on titan games battling a titan as a soldier is useless so you may think this sounds outrageously easy, however with how the ODMG system works, the devs have crafted the game to where it completely depends on the skill of both sides. On one hand the female titans could be eviscerated in seconds by a group of good players or wipe an entire server filled with bad players, no team or player's flat out losing to anybody unless they have an ability that stops them from losing (armored titan's armor).
For the soldiers, if you spawn in the game as a regular soldier your goal is to complete your missions, assist the attack titan in combat and defeat the warriors. The game can get tricky since the warriors are disguised as soldiers and one moment of you being lax could end with you getting wiped (yes the game is perma death I forgot to mention). The soldiers have to coordinate plans based off what they know on the game and use each other and their titans strategically to win against the warriors and beat the campaign.
It’s a super fun game to play with high stakes because of the perma death so I recommend you play it. And yes, the game has a tutorial, albeit not too good of one. If you find yourself enjoying the game at all I’d recommend just using a trello to discover all the hidden mechanics.

This is so fucking true, the game had so much potential but its just so shit, a pure clone of evolution, full of micro transactions and a AI generated attack titan model.
Hey eclipse, while i know this game has been recommended to you quite a bit already and you have mentioned it previously, Attack on Titan:Freedom War just recently left beta, the campaign is finished and there are currently no game-breaking bugs like there were while the game was still in development. Now is probably the best time to pick up the game, i swear its not slop like usual!
fw is peak but there's a crazy bug with fem where you can't handcut out of her hand even if she only has regular hardening (it was supposed to just be a mastery 10 thing) but yeah fw plays like an actual game and not a grinding sim

Im going to make a list of things that I disagree and agree with from this video. (If you dont want to read everything I left a summarizied version at the very end of the comment)
The first point I want to adress is the updates, the updates take so long because they have to model, script, and make vfx for said updates, apart from bug fixing and polishing, not only that but from what i've seen the dev team is kind of incompetent there is a lot of inside arguing and a large part of the dev team has a bad history with children. In summary I feel that the updates take so long because the dev team is incompetent but also because developing games is really hard.
The second point I want to adress is the small updates, while the updates may seen small they actually added lots of stuff, but the problem is that all they did was polish big fix and add endgame stuff, thats why it seems like nothing was really added, although I do believe they should have finished some core mechanics like horses. In summary the dev team bareley added early game stuff in their updates.
The third point is the repetitive gameplay, the game is repetitive, this is because of the dev team's bad budgeting, that eventually they got so low on money they needed to cash out with the release and had to release the game early so they didnt have time to make other game modes, apart from that, the difficulty does actually actually provide an extra challenge apart from just damage buff and health boost, titans grab faster, turn faster, and get more crowded, the game is so similar to all the other aot game because this game is basically a remake of evolution and because of the afformentioned budgeting issues. In summary* I think *the creators of the game lacked budget so they had to release the game early and thus that is why the game is similar to other aot games, also the difficulties do actually change some other factors withing the titans apart from health & damage.
Some minor points I just want to comment that moving on from difficulty to dificulty isnt random at all I believe you need to upgrade 8 out of your 10 stats to the same level as said difficulty to be able to move on. The skill tree, perks, and families help mix up the game a bit but are generally kind of useless at early game. The titans not being 1 shot and you getting stuck on them is actually a really interesting way to reward players who have good mobility because if you can manage your movement right there is actually ways to slice the titan without getting stuck.
To conclude my comment I want to state that this game is good, it has lots of potential and personally it is fun to play. But on the other side the dev team is horrible the updates are kind of bad, and the game was released half unfinished. Thanks for reading.

Amazing video Eclipse. I do have some disagreements with some statements that was.. stated. I do agree that the game is overall just a simulation, but there really isn’t any point to games then. Like street fighter 6, you just play as a character.. there’s nothing more to it. Even GTA 5, there’s nothing more to it other than kill people and ram into buildings.
I have a few theories on why people like the game:
-Mostly because of how good the quality is, VFX, SFX, everything.
-When people see visually appealing things, it activates dopamine.
-People are fans of AOT:R and want to feel what it’s like to actually be a scout.
I wanted to say that the game isn’t even finished yet. They just released the game on Update 4 because of various factors such as death threats, anticipation, begging, and more. I’d say it was rushed because there are a few bugs that could’ve been easily fixed if they spent proper time on the game.
All in all, I agree with most of the things you said. +1 like.
You have NOT touched any game other than roblox. for example in gta 5, there's an entire storyline, mods you can install, director mode and explore the world. the fact you said "there's nothing more to it other than kill people and ram into buildings" proves it lol. in street fighter the combat is fun, you play against diferent people of different builds and skill levels and there's a storyline (correct me if im wrong i only played sf 5)

How the hell did the actual gameplay not change at all..... the enemies are identical, and they didn't change literally ANYTHING. No bosses, no new unique gameplay like riding on horses, no defense modes, no invasion modes, nothing. How did they mess that up????

I know many people have already said it but ill say as well.
YOU SHOULD SERIOUSLY TRY OUT AOT FREEDOM WAR ITS EXTREMELY UNDERRATED. It has good gameplay, movement, quality and perfectly mimics the vibe they give of in the anime as well. They also have mechanics that are not commonly found in other games like the horse, shifting, cannon and others. And its very easy to understand how it works. If you forget you can always clock the ? Button to find the mechanics of something. It also introduces human vs human, shifter vs shifter and human vs shifter so you wont get bored killing npcs all the time. It may get buggy at some times but its usually very rare to happen and its also quite small and wont affect your gameplay. Hope you saw my perspective of the game or others who introduce this game to you as well and hopefullt you try it out yourself. 👍

The hub can be used to chat with your friends. But i get your point here it's pretty useless. Imo it would be cool if you could do a free play in that map and kill random titans like plants vs zombies garden warfare 2 where you go outside the backyard and you can just kill npc zombies or plants. Now this won't have much difference as farming missions but it would help the lobby have a better use.
