Yuqi and Minnie are the "designated" English speakers in the group. They had a nearly one hour full English interview with Eric Nam on the Daebak Channel not long ago. It's very fun and if you want to learn more about Minnie's and Yuqi's personality all while listening to their English this would be a great interview to watch.

Yuqi was my bias for a long time, but I agree with you, as you get to know all of them it is impossible to keep a bias in G-IDLE. At best you switch from one to the other in different times.

i still can't believe how much people support yuqi. I mean, of course she does it pretty well, but technically she falls behind minnie, miyeon or soyeon. May she be graced by her deep voice, or her visuals, but....i guess it's not enough for me. About her personality, at first I found her funny, but she became a little dense. Maybe it's because I'm not compatible with her, i guess. The same goes with miyeon. The princess character is fine, but it becomes tedious sometimes
I clarify that it's not that I don't like her, it's just that she can't be my favourite in idle with minnie or soyeon behind. Again, it may be a thing about compatibility. I'm new in the kpop industry. I started listening to it about 5 months ago. I think she may be number 2 or 3, toe to toe with minnie.

I know where you're coming from and kinda agree tbh. I feel people just favour her cos of her 'deep voice' and personality - heavy on the personality actually. She's talented ofcourse and has a unique voice but I don't see her at par with Soyeon or even Minnie technically; I personally think cos she's loved so much within the kpop/neverland realm, everything she does music-wise is blown beyond proportion but great for her though
and in what way do you think she lags behind them? She, like them, produces and writes songs, sings and dances well, how does her inferiority manifest itself in comparison with your favorites?
and why is she stupid, what an excuse, she is a naturally kind and positive person, that’s what attracts most people, if she were a dummy and just beautiful, she wouldn’t have so many fans, and not only does she have a naturally low voice and beauty, she also achieved this through work, she worked just like other girls, why are you belittling her?
@@focusnics Do i really need to compare their production skills? i mean, whe and minnie may be in the same level, but soyeon is obviously ahead, and it should be like that being her a producer for much longer (minnie and yuqi started after). And when i talk about her singing skills, being behind doesn't mean she sounds bad to me, it's not the case. I like Yuqi, but I can appreciate that Minnie, Soyeon or Miyeon have a more trained and polished singing technique. The variety of resources that each one has can exemplify this, being able to play more with resonance and project her voice better. This can be seen in the recordings. If there is not enough material, you can watch the lee mujin service episodes of each one.
In my opinion, Yuqi has some things to learn regarding singing skills, and I hope she does, because she will become even better.
In (G)I-DLE Soyeon and Miyeon have the best technique, followed by Minnie. In the case of Soyeon this may not be noticeable given her tone of voice, but if you can't notice it in the case of Miyeon it is a shame, since in my opinion she is the one who sings and sounds the best in the group in general (let's forget rap that is in a separate list).
Speaking of dance....well, i-dle is not well known for its choreography, and that's not what I focus on when evaluating a performer's skills. Yes, yuqi dances well, good for her. I don't know if she's the best, but that's honestly irrelevant to me.
With respect to personality I can't object to anything, that's up to each person.

You're mad that people support her? She has a unique voice that's not very common in kpop, has a funny dorky personality , is very straightforward/loud all this while also being really smart & talented in other things (she also plays Chinese instrument + great at variety shows, writer/producer). Also great at dancing. Plenty of reasons for people to love her. She deserves just as much support as others. Minnie & miyeon are main vocalists for a reason obviously their singing technique will be better yuqi is lead vocal only. & Soyeon is main rapper/producer basically ace so naturally she's the best member talent wise. There shouldn't be any comparison between them. & Tf do u mean she became dense? Seems like you're the dense one😂 "i appreciate hard work over visuals or natural talent" & u mean to tell us yuqi doesn't work hard? If anything she works the hardest considering she has to catch up with miyeon in singing & soyeon in producing & is doing great job. Her & soyeon also are the best performers with best stage presence in the group.
