  • This is a weekend project for a small shelving units for any van.
Just a note that I've used existing panels on my van but you may want to add a panel to the back to prevent small staff from being stuck behind it.

Very nice 👍, that's how a professional with spare time gets things done.
Thanks for sharing this experience with everyone.

Ingenious: Double playback speed, half the time necessary to see the good, interesting video. Thank you for this beautiful video, subtitles and all. Good luck with the project.

Leave the bulkhead in...it keeps the cab cleaner and warmer. Also if you have Aircon it works more efficiently

Yeah, makes sense but there is more changes coming to the van. May is the time when more will be happening to it.

Keeps the tool thieves out too if you fit upgraded locks on the rear doors

How about buying some cheap nets and screwing them onto the shelves, so while driving everything will stay in the shelves in case you crash into something or somebody crashes into your van?? And of cause everything which lays or stands on the ground of your van has to be safely secured while driving…

Nice work!! What thickness did you use for your outer braces? I'm looking to build some of these shelves but they will be holding snacks and cookies, any recommendation on wood thickness?

For the whole build I’ve used 3/4 plywood and for the front border I’ve use 1/2 inch by 1 1/2. I overbuilt it 😁. I would use 3/4 for the braces and 1/2 in for shelves and would support them a bit front and back with a parallel braces.

@@Ziutva Thank you for your suggestion. BTW, those clips with straps you used to hold your "oops" pieces were cool.

Crikey....I don't use a level when building cabinets,a tape measure and square do the job.😊

Somebody needs to tell this guy that you don’t use a level when what your leveling is on a sloped garage floor.
