I think this is a very important issue for many men. As a young man male-grooming didn't seem to be very important. Today I understand how it's the most important thing and I had to learn the hard way how to properly shave. Ingrown hairs and shave burn was big problem for me. I haven't tried the shave oil yet. I will give it a try. Proper male grooming techniques are underrated by most men and they look at as grooming as something feminine. I didn't like doing my eyebrows until a found a good barber that fixed the uneven growth and brought out the natural shape better. I like the idea of keeping stubble maintained and neat. Makes a big difference!
KIDS, calm down. This video is for MEN, clearly all of you here with derogatory comments bashing Antonio, clearly you are still teens or adults who have not matured. Go find another video for yourself.
I started cutting my nose hairs after I realized it was probably unpleasant to other people. I'm only 6'0" but most people are still looking up to me. Thanks for the valuable tips.
***** He could have had a beard in the past, as well as it could be advice hes giving from observing other mens facial hair. Either way its good advice regardless of how it came about. Cheers
One of the best tools to trim excessive hair is the Philips made Nosetrimmer (which trims hair, not noses :) ), it exists in various guises. The last one I bought can be rinsed under a shower. Its tip is like a small shaver on its size which is simply the best tool ever to remove nose hair and get rid of hair on and in your ears. However, it also comes with two combs - mount the higher one and you have the perfect tool to trim your eyebrows but keep it looking natural (avoid the short one, that will just look weird, trust me on this). No affiliation with the company - I've just been using them for over 5 years.
appreciate the time your taking to make these videos.... but will not be taking grooming advise from someone who is clean shaven for all but 1 week in December... can't do it
A good advice given is always good irrespective of who gives it , all those haters if you can't appreciate the time and effort Mr.Antonio takes to help us improve our overall outlook please don't disgust us with your hate comments !
All the haters on here wow. I find this information very useful. Grooming has always been an after thought for me and I was never really aware that more could be done about it until I discovered this channel. He's not pushing a particular "style", he's talking about maintaining a professional appearance that isn't going to put people / potential employers / women off. If you don't care about that stuff good for you.
+Peter Simon Christensen Well, when you work in a conservative industry - or any good job for that matter - people are going to judge you based on your looks. Period. So why wouldn't you want to take care of it?
Bang on target, Peter! If culture requires to care for style to a point where one's uncomfortable, then f those relations. Style is just an ever changing social construct anyway. There's no truth to fashion.
+Joachim Sällström in society women are expected to be waxed, plucked, groomed and styled all the time. its everywhere, and men expect it whether they say it or not. Why are men the exception? they shouldn't be. just suck it up, women can do it so why not
+TwistedBarbie Like +overTIMe said, I think it's more for the impression of people from work. Honestly, some of these aren't too demanding, every guy should trim their nose hair's and have some style with facial hair, or no facial hair.
quite humorous when the complainers never got past the beard, and there's nothing wrong with the sweater.. I am from Southern California. .Winter for sure. Real men cry and have style...grow a pair. ..and enjoy a change of life, that would benefit you in the long run....change is good..and it starts within that space between your ears... Semper Fi..... I shared this on facebook, tagging my son. Thank you for making this! I'm a stylist with a 14 year old and I get after him all the time about these issues. Just by coming from someone else he might listen a little better.
embarrassing for him? Naw, My son volunteered to dressing up as Marilyn Monroe and sang "Happy Birthday" to his Principal and letting them post it on school's facebook page. A tag of a video for him to aid him with grooming is nothing embarrassing it's called hygiene maintenance.
Deanna Vestal You are bringing him up to be a feminising man. A metrosexual ponce bonce. He is 14 FFS. He should be out in the woods with his friends, playing and exploring, not worrying whether he has enough gel in his hair.
The evolutionary function of eyebrows is not to help transmit emotions, that is only a side benefit. It's primarily to keep perspiration out of the eyes.
Lol the eyebrows stop beads of sweat from running into your eyes but if you're a metro that never had to physically work I guess you could get the misconception that it's to "convey emotions" like this dude
BrAnDoN062694420 It's because he is talking clear and deep. Study shows that women are more attracted to men with deeper voice and this guy maybe knows that thing. After all, he is owner of a grooming channel.
The point you're talking about at around 5:00 is solid legit. But my question is, how exactly can I get this done by myself "properly" and not have the back of my head looks like it has been drawn with a crayon by a 5-year-old? I have tried to practice many, many times...but as soon as I switch to my non-dominant hand, things don't go too well.
MrCJ1988 set up a mirror behind you and sit/stand in front of your normal mirror, that way you can see what you're doing and if go about it slowly you should be able to shave a straight line...as someone who has a 3mm haircut I do this quite often.
Thanks for another great video. People assume that everyone should know these things, but in today's society fathers aren't really expected to pass along basic habits that can allow their sons to have a more successful life. Sad but true.
What's your stance on long, thick hair on men? I'm growing mine out because I've always wanted long hair; and the hyper-conservative stigma from a professional standpoint on long hair is starting to die (a welcome death, too.) So what's your take?
I'd add trimming nails and showering at least once a day (followed by a mild deodorant and perfume) to this list. Surprising as it may sound, some of them think it's cool to have that uncouth look. Not if you're out of college dorm.
i actually have a more shaggy haircut and chinstrap beard, but it works on a college campus. and adds some darkness to my otherwise super pale complexion (not a lot of sunlight in the lab) i find that as long as i clean up my neck, stache, and give it a trim once a week, it usually stays pretty presentable (assuming i dont have a particularly hard test or anything because stress and sleep deprivation) i think the key to any facial hair is being able to own and maintain it. you're either all in or all out, you cant be wearing half a beard or some shit like that. you have to keep it well maintained, even, and clean. too often i see guys who cant really grow out a beard but leave some neck beard shit or whatever and it just doesnt work. i guess tl;dr: do whatever you want, but commit to whatever you do.
the difference in a wealthy professional and an aspiring RUclipsr kids who appeals to pre teens ... he gives solid professional advice and and a long hairs self entitled kid bashes him .... But it's also the difference between white collar and blue collar people...
+Jorge Daniel Only according to a particular standard of grooming. Let's call it "business class." There are a hell of a lot of other styles out there, and no single one is more attractive than any other. Cultural differences, man.
+Fire of Jagz Cmon man, you're smart. He's obviously talking about someone with a close haircut with hair growing randomly and past the ears. I believe in you, you can't be that dumb.
+sortilegus True, but with the advent of the new ceo who's bearded and long haired, those standards are going out the window. Any potential boss who looks at your appearance over your capabilities is a moron and you should find somewhere else.
a lot of barbershops (like mine) will do a weekly line up around the back for just a couple bucks. I charge $5.00, and with that I will also do eyebrows ear and nose hair. plus I use the straight edge on the back of the neck. a lot of guys want this "duck dynasty" Beard when in reality its just a excuse for not shaving. Every guy should hit the barbershop for a monthly shave, it is very relaxing when done right. If you have a beard hit the shop anyway for a beard trim and line up. When the barber lines up your beard that will show you where you have to shave to keep it looking good. Thanks Antonio!
Hey man Antonio, I really liked your presentation. I've got 2 main questions 1. I'm 17 and not growing a beard not even small hair follicles,i wanna groe tell me some tips. 2.I have a unibrow ,how can i get the rid of it?
+drepop803 Hey pal thanks for your advice. But what about my unibrow? Any steps to correct or which may help me in stopping the weird look of my unibrow?
+MAHIK CHOUDHARY Probably waxing, plucking, trimming are the main tools for that. Waxing the bridge between the eyebrows then using tweezers or a trimmer to get what it missed/ make sure everything looks normal. Of course the last thing you want to do is go overboard on the tweezing/trimming or you'll end up looking like an alien. A band aid fix would be to carefully trim the area, but if you want to get rid of the hair completely then waxing the middle seems like your best bet. Disclaimer: not a pro at this so take my response lightly, but it might remind you that it can be fairly simple to get rid of a unibrow.
OK, this was a very good video you put up here. This is why I'm subscribed. I knew everything, but still nice to hear someone speaking on it to those that may not follow it or think they can get away with not following it.
Hair over the ear is not a mistake if you are underweight and have a thin face. That tiny bit of hair over the ear adds much needed width to the face. Without it, I look and feel awful after each haircut. It makes my head look small and my ears look big. Just my opinion after seeing myself with and without the hair left around the ear.
ManCave Mayhem I know this is 5 months old, however i'm sure you were just obsessing over your insecurities like the rest of us do. It can also depend on how your hair grows, if it grows so that when it meets the ears it starts pointing outwards instead of straight down, it can look silly. If tends to curl and fold straight over your ears, it may look ok, or it may look like you're just trying to hide your ears. Anyway, i hope that after 5 months you feel better about the way you look and don't care too much either way :)
This is a great channel. Many young men out there don't know how to dress well. Perhaps they don't have their father or male role model at home. Either way you're touching many young lives out there. Keep up the good work.
Trimming a beard too early the second it becomes to look 'straggly' & unkept is the number one thing advised to avoid by all men who actually have beards, dealing with this stage until it fills out BEFORE styling is a must to avoid chipping into facial hair before it actually grows in thick and full.
Great points! However, I find point 7 is a bit moot... Not essential. Hair touching the ears is something I have never heard anyone complain about. However, I would think if the hair is covering the ears, then yes, it may be time for a hair cut. Thanks for the vid!
"The evolutionary function of them is actually to send emotions", No it's to block your forehead/upper-face sweat from dripping into your eyes - or thats what I was told.
Testosterone has inconvenient side effects. Your beard will grow faster with all your other hair on your whole body(back, neck, arm, chest, eyebrows, nose` etc ) So be careful if you don't want to look like Chewbacca. It also can cause hormonal imbalance which can be serious.
My eyebrows are somewhat tented. That is they have a very slight inverted V shape which makes me look angry even when I have a big smile on my face. So I trimmed down the points of the inverted V to give eyebrows a softer appearance. They now look more relaxed and I look _happy!_ Trust me, number 3 is spot on!
I pluck the absolute shit out of my nose. I do it probably once every couple of weeks. Hurts so fucking bad! Due to the shape of my nose (I think) simply trimming the nose hairs still leaves them somewhat visible. Plucking them ensures no hair to be seen. It's worth the pain. I also pluck my eyebrows. For sure. And I think it's fucking retarded some guys will shave their balls and then have their eyebrows and nose hair going all crazy.
my genetics are fucked up, i'm 19 years old just got arm hair hairs this year and a visible set of eyebrows but i had ballhair since i was like 12 years old and i am finally getting a beard of somekind, i got teased when i was little and everybody said did u burn them off? so please be happy with ur good genetics :D

This guy is awesome
Very neat presentation. Antonio, man, you know your stuff! Thanks a lot!
+Konsti1 You're welcome :)

"Beard tips, from a guy without a beard."
Man these tips are damn useful, I'm still 18 but each thing you say is logical and helpful. You're the first one I've subscribed.
+Fearless Citizen Awesome! Glad to have you on board :)
1. Don't take beard advice from the man without a beard.
He can grow one but chooses not to, he has mentioned this before in the comments of another video, just a tidbit.
your presentations are topnotch.Kenya is watching.
+oduor omondi Thank you! Cheers Kenya :)
How can a guy that has no beard talk about grooming
+Omar Delgadio How did you get here?

+Umar Rodriguez U ROD hahaha l0l
+Charlie Payne yeah...the first thing observe!
Charlie Payne i thought there was hair on my screen lol....😅 ur icon
this channel is excellent. I've been a subscriber for some time now. well done sir.
+Jenny Titus Love reading all your comments from my videos - thank you for the support!
He didn't even talk about grooming when it comes to a beard
love you man! keep it up! masculinity rules! im improving a lot, youve changed my life broher Antonio! greetings from Lima - Perú!
I lose hair where I want it and it grows where I don't need it. lol
***** The story of male life.
weskitten yeah, male pattern bullshit I call it. lol
Trimming a beard too early the second it becomes to look 'straggly' & unkept is the number one thing advised to avoid by all men who actually have beards, dealing with this stage until it fills out BEFORE styling is a must to avoid chipping into facial hair before it actually grows in thick and full.
+Arran Laundon If you're trying to grow a beard, yes that's true. I have an article regarding that. www.realmenrealstyle.com/how-grow-beard/
So this video is for men who want to grow a beard, but do not want a beard - in the sense of full healthy facial hair?
Far too picky. This is for more metro men it seems
Yes, yes I do. Cause I'm a fuckin man. Not prissy
He's a good speaker, I need to step my public speaking game up
boombox602 great! practice makes perfect

+TheRamboss Good question.
+TheRamboss How to be a gay man.
+supadupaman86 Exactly
A very good one ! thank you Sir !
+Murshid Munsif You're welcome.
Keanu Reeves has an awesome beard.
xPNova Agreed!
Great advice. Thank you very much, I will make sure I'll get more of this. You got yourself a new subscriber. Cheers!
+LifeStory You're very much welcome!
what's wrong with looking a bit ruff?
+Darth Bacon
Asks "Darth Bacon"
I just imagine a fat old burned Anakin without the Vader clothes....
+xinic5 great point.
Really appreciate the video man. Your style is a bit too refined for what I'm aiming for, but your tips are solid.
Don't u dare talk bad about Keanu Reeves!
Great points! However, I find point 7 is a bit moot... Not essential. Hair touching the ears is something I have never heard anyone complain about. However, I would think if the hair is covering the ears, then yes, it may be time for a hair cut. Thanks for the vid!
Hair over the ears? Really? I am not in the Army anymore. It is okay to have hair over my ears.
"The evolutionary function of them is actually to send emotions", No it's to block your forehead/upper-face sweat from dripping into your eyes - or thats what I was told.
But can you fix your car? I think not.
hahaha
THIS VIDEO IS AMAZING. THANK YOU!
How can I grow my beard faster ? Im helpless
Testosterone 500mg weekly (Also some Trenbolone for extra gains)
Max Freeman really?
Testosterone has inconvenient side effects. Your beard will grow faster with all your other hair on your whole body(back, neck, arm, chest, eyebrows, nose` etc ) So be careful if you don't want to look like Chewbacca.
It also can cause hormonal imbalance which can be serious.
***** Dude, that was an obvious joke :D
Lol hahaha i'll do it the natural way than
My eyebrows are somewhat tented.
Facey Neck exactly!
Have you considered electrolysis? 😃Holy crap, all that plucking!😁😞
my genetics are fucked up, i'm 19 years old just got arm hair hairs this year and a visible set of eyebrows but i had ballhair since i was like 12 years old and i am finally getting a beard of somekind, i got teased when i was little and everybody said did u burn them off? so please be happy with ur good genetics :D
