Hi.. thanks for the great video.. quite informative. I interest to have this arturia MIDI controller. Question, in multilayers, can we assign the faders to control each sound layer? Is this type of arturia good enough for live band stage performance?
So if I am in user mode, and I have more controls than the ones that I can assign (so 8 faders, 8 knobs and 8 buttons), there is no way to "swap banks", like you would do on other midi keyboards? I see that there are banks buttons on the right, close to the controls area, but these seems to work only for ableton live to swap between channels to control, if you have more than 8?
That's a good question! if you figure that out let me know because I am currently dealing with the same stuff... I have 2 controllers and I want to use both like if the second one where a continuation of the 1s... and assign the available buttons and knobs of the 2nd midi controller to control other parameters... kind of cool ideally.
While you are in edit mode, you cannot play to hear your current parameter changes - you have first to exit edit mode (and then re-enter to further change)?
I'm trying to learn a song that is at least a quarter tone off. Can you help me understand how I can change the pitch of the entire keylab 88 keybaord up or down by the cent. Is this even possible? Is it something that can be programmed using user mode and easily switched bacK? Thank you

It would be so amazing if you could just download the 6,500 analog lab presets directly into the controller so it can be a midi controller and when selecting the analog lab mode you can access those sounds right from the controller... maybe one day! 🙏🏼
Is there a way to utilize the sequencer on the Keystep 32 with the KeyLab 49 MKII? A sequencer on the KeyLab would be a great addition to the KeyLab MKIII (if that’s on the horizon). Just curious if the CV/Gate connections on the KeyLab can control the Keystep’s sequencer. I’d appreciate any info on this. If someone happens to know if this is possible, or even worth attempting, I’d love to hear how to go about it.

Groove I still haven’t found anything explaining the chord feature well. The pads do not default to any normal scale which is confusing. I saw one tutorial showing how to assign a chord but my hand would have to be cable of holding the chord button and a pad with the left hand to edit one while playing the actual chord with the right hand. This is physically impossible unless your hand can stretch over 8 inches or more. Any input is appreciated re assigning custom chords.

i need help for a better Reason Studio 11 integration, i can have only half of the setup, most of the input, keyboard, pad, fader and encoder work well except some transport and patch change button button stuff, i must use the MMC setup and an old Keylab patch setup to make it work any idea ? im not a fan of Ableton Live workflow and i don't wan't to come back to cubase, maybe Reaper or Studio Live from presonus, since i can use Reason as a self contain VST.
Keylab MKII is nice, but I just cannot understand why the faders in this design are so bad. They are not in a nice straight line, wobbly and my keyboard came with a broken/loose one out of the box. A real pity. Also please get in contact with Presonus and make them include Arturia keyboards in Studio One config.
Why Arturia don't update the minilab mk2? 5 years passed from the release of mk2 and there's many functions that I couldn't reach that in mini version midis from others companies are available a couple of years ago... I prefer Arturia quality but I need this functions in a midi... Is in this year a possibility to launch a minilab mk3 or I must to wait to another year??
Is there any way to combine Ableton DAW and User mode? I've programmed the bottom pads to light up to use as a visual metronome but when I'm in user mode I lose launch pad control in Ableton and vice versa. Or, if you could tell me how to send the click to the pads straight from Ableton that would be even better....
Looks like a great controller, but missing a few things I would like to see. Am I the only one that wants a Keyboard Midi Controller to have lcd labels over faders & knobs for user modes, so I can instantly know what sliders are set to what track, function, value etc? This would make user modes much more usable, and keep me from having to apply physical labels over sliders for user modes. I want to get away from the computer screen as much as possible, so I want a controller that helps me focus more on physical input and know whats there. The other question I have is why just 10 user modes. Is memory that expensive that it couldn't support more? i love Arturia, and buy lots of there stuff, but I can't believe in 2019 that LCD's are so expensive that we couldn't have a few of them on our controllers. I would pay $100 more for this in a controller that can support ProTools, Logic, Omnisphere, with labels over the controls. Let's face it, we don't only use V collection.
@@jameshhenderson8243 No this is a controller and doesn't create sounds internally, it tells software or hardware synths what to do. An audio output would be fitted to a hardware synth or software routes the audio stream to wherever.

As many have observed/commented, I too found these 'tutorials' totally useless. The manufacturer boasts that it is integrated with many DAWS. I wrote to the manufacturer, and they admitted this. Except some knobs and buttons, nothing works. I could never decipher the use of the User Mode. The only excellent part of this keyboard is the keys- unparalleled. Except for this all other functionalities are useless unless you are a specialized engineer. Frustrated, I just dumped it as a show piece. It is almost more than a year, I never touched it. and you pay so much, but for nothing. There are many cheaper MIDi controllers which definitely do better job. Further Arturia MIDI control center is another, which is unbelievably difficult to understand. I do not understand what is the purpose of manufacturing such craps which are NOT user friendly. The instrument reminds me a proverb 'the girl is beautiful but is bling'. This applies to men also. It is just a proverb.

My user presets are altering analog lab even when I'm not in analog lab (the plugin or the mode). Anybody know how to fix this?
Why do you keep touching g sharp up there on the right hand side of the keyboard
The keyboard keys for an octave or so on each end work with the edit commands, the legends are in small print on the chassis above each key.

Needs a dedicated jack to connect to an amplifier or mixing board.

@@jadonx i am aware. I have used other professional controllers. This is the main reason i prefer hardware workstations or synths.
Can anyone explain to me how to I save sounds... like for example in a live band scenario.... to make set list , edit and save a transposed key ...
Hi, you can save your sounds, create playlists, etc within Analog Lab, you can click on "concerts" on the left part of the plugin.
